Gee Mark, and you call us bigots and racists.

Wrong, again!

You missed my point that those who support Trump, typically racists and bigots, seem to conveniently overlook Trump's lifelong Jewish ties, not to even mention, his own Jewish in-laws and thereby, half-Jewish offspring:-)

Selective bigotry, I supposeLOL

Actually the hardcore religious people in the bible belt tend to support israel. Many of their pastors are even more vocal supporters of Zionism than a lot of the Jews I know.

Holy ole Cow did Trump just drop the hammer on Iran and N. Korea in a speech to the United Nations !
They better be listening as it is quite obvious that Trump is done playing games.
Check out world news.

Trumps un speech is on right now.. I'm watching it live on RT

Trump: 'We call for the full restoration of democracy and freedom in Venezuela...The problem with Venezuela isn't that socialism has been poorly implemented, the problem is that socialism has been faithfully implemented'

UN: applause and laughs
Trump: 'Wherever true socialism or communism has been adopted it has brought devastation, misery, and failure. Those who preach these failed ideologies only contribute to the continued suffering of the people who live under such brutal regimes...'

UN: applause

I may not agree with everything he said amely about north Korea syria Iran israel etc but he hit the nail on the head with that one

Seems trump wants sovereignty security and prosperity for all. Nothing wrong with that

He sure exposed obama's deal with Iran as the worse deal ever in America's history.
Trump called the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated by his predecessor, Barack obama, was an embarrassment and hinted that he may not recertify the agreement when it comes up for a mid-October deadline.

"I don't think you've heard the last of it," he said.
He called Iran an "economically depleted rogue state that exports violence."
I hope Iran got the message that the agreement WOULD NOT be renewed next month because of supporting and supplying Hezbollah with arms.
Netanyahu sat with a huge smile on his face shaking his head YES !
Trump is fed up with Iran's nuclear ambitions also.
And Teflon Don has not even been in office a year yet and he is swiftly cleaning up Obama's messes making America Great Again.

Oh My My to all you Lefty's that claimed Trump was paranoid that the Trump Tower was wire tapped pre election.
Big story today was it has been proven that it was indeed wire tapped and Comey lied under oath that it was not.
The F.B.I. had to of known about it.
Was this to give Crooked Hillary the heads up to what Trump was planning for his campaign.
Stay tuned as I can't wait for their answer to this one.
You can bet someone is going to prison for this FELONY.

So, if there is in fact evidence that Russia interfered in the election on behalf of Trump, I smell an impeachment!

Manafort in particular is coming out of this very badly, as it looks like he might well have helped the Party of Regions steal untold billions from Ukraine.

Harry

Big story today was it has been proven that it was indeed wire tapped

Please stop with this fiction, jimmy, you're not fooling anybody. Trump claimed, repeated, that he was personally targeted. His laughable claim is a lie, just like your laughable claim that Trump never asked for donations from the public.

Righties aka Evangelicals who radically support Israel are only doing so, a la ol' man Luther himself, in the hope that as many Jews as possible (religious heathens in Fundamentalists' eyes!) will eventually "see the light" and convert, that is be saved by Jesus.

There's NO love lost between Evangelical Christians and the ultra-Orthodox, they being bound together solely as regards both groups belief in Creationism, thus the common drive to oust Darwin from the curriculum once and for all:-)

Never be fooled by Fundamentalists waxing poetic over Israel!

The Iran thing is total hypocrisy. Who says who's able to have nukes and not? If Iran nk etc gives up their nukes so should Israel. Not only does Israel have a nuclear weapons program (they got it with help from the French, AQ Khan as well as apartheid South Africa) but flat out refused to have any inspections similar to north Korea and unlike Iran. Germany even basically gave them (as a form of reparations) at least 3 or 4 ballistic subs which can launch nuclear warhead tipped missiles even though they lied to everyone that they never would sell hardware that can launch nukes to foreign states.

The fact is Iran had has more iaea inspections than any other country and was found to be compliant. Same with the Iran deal with Obama - they were found to be compliant as well. This is just AIPAC talking through Trump. Same with the whole syria issue. He only wants assad, who unlike most leaders in the Arab world protects Christians in Syria, to go so that the shiite corridor ceases to exist which Israel wants more than anything right now. Israel even goes so far as to treating injured al nusra and other Sunni radicals in their hospitals as well as working with saudi where children learn to hate Israel in school as children thanks to the books that the education ministry has schools use.

@delphiandomine
That's old news. Manafort received one of the largest checks ever in the political consulting business from Yanukovich and cronies. That's most likely where the Russia ties began and something he undoubtedly brought up when his firm was hired by trump. This kind of meddling and help from foreign actors to eu and north American politicians happens all the time though. Sarkozy took money from Gaddafi for his reelection only to backstab him later, Obama greatly interfered with Netanyahus campaign and assisted the opposition, Hillary received millions from Morocco, saudis, Muslim brotherhood affiliates as well as other regimes in the Arab world with egregious human rightsuys and plenty of others. Ukraine even helped Hillary as well. After maidan far right ultra nationalist groups basically took over. The Ukrainians allowed it because the far right battalions were able to halt Russia and they believed the nationalists wouldn't be nearly as corrupt as the others and do things to actually help. Obama even gave them aid in the form of hummers, night vision, vests, uniforms, etc as well as lots of money despite the fact that these very far right groups openly wave 3rd Reich flags and draw such symbols on their tanks. Their uniforms even have patches with sun wheels, wolfsangels, etc. Obama and Hillary say they hate racists and nationalists yet they had no qualms about assisting them and getting help from them in return.

@Lyzko
I wouldn't totally agree with that. Many of the Baptist evangelical etc preachers say that its our duty as Christians to help Israel and the Jews.

Trumps speach is getting rave reviews in the US. I used to be a democrat, however I couldn't vote for Hillary and the whole PC thing is very detrimental to our society. I was worried about Trump at first, but he's really hard working and doing a great job for America!

Would Bernie Sanders or Clinton be able to successfully deter Kim Jon Un?
Trump seems like the better choice in the face of adversity.

Dirk diggler
20 Sep 2017  #1213

@Bluzeki

Same. I was a dem till the whole pc thing gotnoutnof hand... That and after graduating college and experiencing the real world and working a real job as opposed to some student one changed my mindset.

As the famous saying goes 'if you're not a liberal at 20 you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at 40 you have no mind'

Trumps speach is getting rave reviews in the US.

By whom?

he's really hard working

Ha ha ha! When? Where? Playing golf at Mar-a-Lago or grabbing P doesn't count.

if you're not a conservative at 40 you have no mind'

Threatening to wipe out more than 20 million people is considered a "conservative" value? I call that rather mindless, to be honest.

johnny reb
20 Sep 2017  #1217

By whom?

Every American that I have talked to besides you.

Threatening to wipe out more than 20 million people

Better them than us silly.
Trump said in his speech that his first job is to protect Americans and put America first.
I guess you have never been in a fist fight TheOther as your first goal is not to let the other guy hurt you first and the second is not to lose.

Rocket Man is selling nuclear war technology to Iran.
Iran said they were going to take Israel off the face of the earth and N. Korea said they were going to sink Japan.
Therefore they both need to go as they refuse to stop arming themselves to actually do it.
Now what is your answer, let them get nukes to wipe out the Left Coast where you live ?

Dirk diggler
20 Sep 2017  #1218

Don't get me wrong I like a lot of what trumps done and certain policies of his but we all know he's not going to do sh!t to north Korea and probably not Iran either aside from sanctions. The reason why is because there really is next to zero viable military options short of nuking the entire country in one fell swoop. That doesn't even matter to kim and nks because they're willing to die for him. Nk is reckless and even though the un security council was unanimous in sanctions theyll still have the same old trade partners from the back end I.e. China Russia Malaysia Macau etc. There's always going to be opportunism. (Notice even at the end of trumps un speech during the recess an Asian dude walked over was chatting up the Venezuelan delegation lol) North Koreans even work in Poland and one of kims family members who's an ambassador lives in Warsaw. Even if us took out the old soviet plutonium reactor and as many missle sites command centers etc as they could, nk would immediately retaliate by destroying Seoul with hundreds of old school long range artillery pieces that are all along the dmz. As far as iran, first off they never threatened to wipe out israel. That's a totally incorrect translation of what the leadership has said time and time again - they will wipe off the Zionist regime off the face of the earth, not Israel as a country. Similar situation as with nk but even more difficult bc China Russia Pakistan Iran (along w syria) have created a new axis to counter eu/us/Saudi and Sunni powers/Israel. The military geopolitical and economic people understand this and I'm sure they've informed trump. Of course he has to keep the pressure constant which is normal but ultimately he knows he's got a pair against a flush.

Lyzko
20 Sep 2017  #1219

Sure they do, DIrkDiggler! But for what reason? Again, Martin Luther started out his theoligical career bearing no particular animosity towards the Jews per se, but as soon as it became clear to him that the latter had zero intentions on the whole of converting to Christianity, baby, did he ever lash out into one fulminating tirade of anti-semitic venom, asserting that "they should be burned out of their homes and their houses reduced to cinders..." words to that effect.

Let's see how the late Jerry Fallwell's supporters cotton to the idea of a Jewish State with NO strings attached in an effort to allow themselves to be converted, huh?

Somehow doubt's they'll be too friendly!

Dirk diggler

@Lyzko

Idk about Catholics trying to convert Jews n all that but yes the evangelicals n such try to convert not just Jews but roman Catholics too. Every so often I get a knock on my door from them or a Jehovah witness or some other sect. I'm roman Catholic and while I know the history of the various sects and some of their beliefs I don't know what their day to day practices are and how they to about em. But ill take your word for it that they have and continue to try to convert people - its not just Jews though. When trump spoke about defending Israel as have other conservatives they tend to get a lot of applause from the southerners in the bible belt.

The only somewhat strange group I've seen around here is one called 'jews for jesus' which I believe is actually made by Jews not Catholics. Its is in an area of Chicago where a lot of Hasidic n orthodox live (east side of Skokie and north side of Chicago going east on touhy ave). I've always wondered what they were all about and what their beliefs were.

Some of the rabbis I know say the whole expecting a messiah thing is b.s. and just a crutch for weak people. Practical imo lol

When JWs came to our door my Irish mother, a devout RC, always told them "We're Jewish." It worked like a charm every time. They'd just turn around and walk away.

Dirk diggler
20 Sep 2017  #1222

@Roger5

We had a JW working at our deli back in Poland in the day. We had to let her go because shed spend way too much time trying to figure out what .923 kilos of ham should cost rather than just rounding off. Honest yes, but when you have a line of old polish ladies anxious to get some szynka ser kielbasa etc.. Yeah you can imagine

Lyzko

It cuts both ways! In our former neighborhood of Flushing, Queens, the Baalshuvot would be out bright and early EVERY Shabat morning in their "mitzvah mobiles", asking passers by whether or not they are Jewish and/or for "Sadukah, bavakeshah!" Whenever they came to me and my wife, I'd usually answer in my best High German, which would completely flummox them. One teenage girl even said to me, "I'm sorry, sir. I don't understand Yiddish!", to which I'd respond, "That's ok, neither do I."

:-)

O.k. kids, take it to Radom chat.
Back on topic here.
Todays polls show that 80% of Republicans are now behind Trump after that great speech.

Lyzko
20 Sep 2017  #1225

The sole reason I can think of why Trump is nearly as popular as he is, despite low approval ratings (even Karl Rove couldn't finagle that one), is because of the buoyant markets!

Whenever stuff happens in this country, usually in the negative numbers for the average person, think MONEY and you probably won't be far wrong.

"Money piles high while men decay".

Not too bad for a former Democrat.

Not too bad for a former Democrat.

Nope and Teflon Don just keeps right on steamrolling along.
He has the media just stymied that they can't stop him as hard they have tried.
He has even started picking up the women voters again now that man hater Crooked Hillary is out of the picture telling them that she "deserves" the position.

I have always wondered what they did with the millions of dollars worth of fireworks that Crooked Hillary planned to have shot off over the Hudson when they announced her victory.
