@Chemikiem
You have really turned me onto Apple Blossom.
@Ironside
Your link pointed me to Metallica first, so I am not sure what video you were posting.
But hey, anything by Budka Suflera is alright by me.... :-)
Polish bands seem to be best when playing quite technical music, which makes them excellent at Prog Rock.
This is Disperse with "Let me get my colours back".

Some more quality Polish Prog Rock.
Albion with "Motyl"

Polish version of The Hanging Tree:
I like this although it's quite strange!
Albion with "Motyl"
Loved this :)
Let's keep it "strange" then .
I must admit that I find your taste in music a bit strange at times, but Delph is another one with strange taste too. Have to admit though, I loved the Krzak and Cree tracks you posted :)

@TheOther
Mate, you continue to impress me with your posts.
Liked them all.
Skalpel are part of a long line of quirky Polish Jazz that has survived from communist times.
The Krzak tune is superb and has been posted before by others, probably including me :-)
As for Cree, quite understated and unusual in Poland to find a band playing such very mid west american music.
Almost a bit like Dire Straits copying american styles, but I liked them too.
Whilst I would not call either of my posts tonight as absolute classics, they are both very good examples of how Polish Rock music is improving and progressing.
This is Liquid shadows with "My Space".

And one more from Satellite called "Don't walk in Silence".

@Joker
I have three songs by one Polish band that I am sure you will love.
The band are called Zdrowa Woda and they are very good.
This song is called Piwo!

Zdrowa Woda - Między mężczyzną a kobietą, this should hit the spot for you mate.....
youtu.be/O8XkdCyx7uU
Lastly, this one, which is a cover version of one of my all time favourite American Rock songs "Simple Man"".
They call "Zwykły człowiekt".

I try not to limit myself to one genre of music, that's all. :)
Laboratorium - Live

Colosseum - Lost Angeles

@TheOther
Again a strange but quite fascinating string of posts.
I didn't dislike any of them.
Colliseum were not Polish of course, but I thought that was the best tune.
Your tastes intrigue me.
You are obviously a bit of a rebel :-)

Weedpecker - Mindbreath
youtu.be/ZOW2cuKAywU
Żywiołak - Dziadyga
youtu.be/NT5-bXQSWy8
No idea what they are singing about. Sounds tribal.
Colliseum were not Polish of course, but I thought that was the best tune.
Colosseum Live is one of the best live albums ever made. It's in the same league as Made in Japan or Live at Leeds IMHO. The musicians are top notch. Each and everyone of them.

As for Cree, quite understated and unusual in Poland to find a band playing such very mid west american music.
Did you know that their founder is Sebastian Riedel?
Zdrowa Woda and they are very good.
I agree, really liked them!
A few more:
Kwiat Jabłoni - "Huśtawki"

I liked all your posts.
I am pretty sure I have posted the Skubas one before too, if I didn't then I should have!
@kaprys
Great post!
What more can I say?
@jon357
Mate, we may disagree on politics, but not on music... very good post.
One reason why I love this thread.
Music is more unifying than politics.

Maybe you did, but at least we should know what we post now we're all putting names of songs and artists down. I like many of your posts too :)
This one is fairly recent.
Liked that, cool video too!

Throwing this out here - the first Yugoton album: youtube.com/watch?v=sx8SDdtcYPk
Yugoslav artists were popular in Poland, and so people like Kazik, Kukiz, Nosowska, etc got together and created a cover band called Yugoton (playing off the Yugoslav record label Jugoton), which then created Polish language versions of popular Yugoslav songs.
It's a genuinely fantastic album, and great fun :)

Poles seem to love Balkan music. Just to mention Kayah and Bregovic. But I think I have posted some of my favourite videos by that duet.

@delphiandomine
Sorry Delph, but I didn't like this music at all.
@kaprys
@Chemikiem
I agree with Pam, I liked them both but actually preferred the first one, which is not the original.

27 Nov 2019 #471
As for me, I knew the Polish version first so listening to the original was kind of odd at first. But the more I listen to it the more I like it. Which probably proves that people tend to like songs they already know; )
Miloslaw
27 Nov 2019 #472
You are probably right about that, people tend to be fairly conservative in their musical tastes.
But I didn't know the song at all and instantly prefered the cover version.

As for me, I knew the Polish version first
I was the complete opposite, I love Yugoslav music, so for me, it was really strange hearing Ostatnia Nocka. Then I discovered the Yugoton stuff and finally felt some degree of appreciation for Kazik :P
Milo - away with you! ;)
I don't know if it's been posted before, but this is my all-time favourite Polish song.
Łzy - Narcyz Się Nazywam.

Some of the other threads on here are becoming unbelievably nasty.
Don't get me wrong, I will fight them if I have to when the time comes.
But it is mid week.....I don't know about you, but I have had a tough week with enough aggro already!
Time to turn the volume up to eleven and listen to two great songs from the Polish Metal Prog band called Riverside.
This is called "Conceiving you" and is really good.
youtu.be/mMXG7kM8YZk
And this is "Reality Dream", I really love this one.

Riverside are by far the best Polish band around right now. I saw them a couple of years ago, and they were just musically perfect.
I don't remember, did I already post this?
Pathfinder - The Lord of Wolves

Dzem and Ryszard Riedel
They are really talented, one of the best Polish bands.

Very popular around Chicago as well.

Totally agreed.
Riverside are by far the best Polish band around right now.
They are so good that they are up there with American and British Rock bands.
I remember the days when Polish Rock was rubbish and Poles listened to American, British, Hungarian and Yugosav bands.
But The Poles are certainly getting there now :-)
