Just one last Serbian Rock post for you tonight, this may be a bit heavy for you and they are singing in the international language of English, but it is very Serbian!
Most of the Serbian Rock bands I found were MUCH heavier than this.
I am addicted to YouTube music videos... I will be very happy to contribute to your thread.... BTW, The guy in glasses is a school janitor. I played this piece like 20 times...
Great post!Great song! You have said many times that you are from Northern England, But I can't remember exactly where you said you came from. Do you mind me asking where that was? Please don't answer if you feel uncomfortable with that question.
A place called Doncaster is probably the most accurate though somewhere else in the region feels more like a home town now and I've lived in Warsaw longer than most Poles have been alive so that's home now. Donny is a nice town (now a city) and doesn't have the post industrial blight that a lot of that region has. Not in the city itself; the ex coal mining communities around like the one I went to school in are sad places.
As a kid, I lived about 10 minutes walk from where they filmed Open All Hours. It's not a secret since I've no relatives in the area now. We moved a few miles away to a farming village surrounded by pits when I was 10. I went to school in a place called Edlington which is worth a look on google images if you want to feel depressed.
The truth is that it's to say where my hometown is really since we moved from the town to the countryside closer to Rotherham then I returned to a bigger place in Yorkshire later for a few years as an adult and now have a home somewhere else in the region. Never far from working or dead coal mines, steel works, textile factories. In the nearest big city to where I lived as a kid, Sheffield, there's a real history of music.
Here's the big hit of 1981 from Sheffield.
BTW, there's a few famous musicians from Donny. Dame Janet Baker, Louis Tomlinson, Yungblud, and maybe Jeremy Clarkson counts as a musician since he played the drums on the Mr Blobby song.
These are good. I only knew the one song, the obvious one, by him.
This is forgotten but easy to listen to. Everyone knows his big hit (and it gets a lot of airplay in Poland because it's all about the tune and voice rather than the lyrics) however this one is pleasant albeit a bit too guitary and rocky for me. Nice voice.
He was a bit of a looker back in the day. As I recall he died in a horrible way.
Agreed, much better. But the nineties were a lost decade for me musically,as my daughter was born in 1989 and my son in 1991........ so not much time for listening to music LOL!!!
Hi Atch. Nice seeing you again. Are you the only lady left in this venue now? :) Everything's fine over here. Just stopped by and might even stay for a few days. Dunno yet.
Can't stand Kid Rock ever since he turned into an annoying right-wing mouthpiece. Same with Ted Nugent. Left-wing mouthpieces in the music industry are equally annoying of course... :)
I just saw that you posted a few songs by Jeff Beck earlier. Here's another one I particularly like because of the vibes and the extraordinary talent of all musicians involved. Imogen Heap is such a beautiful and gifted singer. I really love her.
