You must be crazy if you think I will offer that to the trolls on here so that they can identify me and threaten me........all I will say is that he was a corporate master!
It is and to be fair, I am bored out of my mind by "Stairway to Heaven" I used to run a major pirate radio station in London in the early eighties and the BBC and London's first commercial radio station, Capital Radio were not playing it, because it was too long for their formats and so we flogged it to death!
I still love the tune but just can't listen to it anymore.....
Ok, so let's hit Led Zeppelin 3, the first two albums were pretty good, but this was a stunner! Track 1, released as a single in the USA and made number 1..... "The Immigrant Song".
This was track 2 on Led Zeppelin 3 and if you were not already thinking it, during this song, which takes you to another musical planet, you must have been thinking....this is something else....."Friends".
The reason I am making all these Led Zeppelin posts is because the band are still very highly regarded by Rock fans,But I think many of them have forgotten just how good this band was! They are the fourth highest record selling band of all time, only beaten by The Beatles, The Stones and U2.....
Anyway, back to Led Zeppelin 3, after those three stunning intro tracks they slapped us in the face with this superb Blues/Rock number "Since I've been Loving You".
Two superb posts from two people who actually "Get" Rock music, unlike the trolls that try to spoil these threads.... you will always lose, because we have a passion that you don't have.
Try this guys, a bit heavy but pretty good anyway, this British band are called UFO.
I have said it before but this little island that we call the British Isles, squashed between the North Sea and the Atlantic ocean has ALWAYS punched well above it's own weight, in many aspects and Rock Music is one of them.
UFO are probably not too well known outside of the UK, except for Japan.
I'll end my posts on this thread tonight, with this one, another UFO ballad, but one with an edge to it,this is a much later recording than my earlier posts, Phil Mogg, the lead singer has lost all that hair, but not his voice....enjoy!
And this is too.........The Yanks and Brits are way out of your league........
I gave you a fraction of music we listen in Serbia. I`ll give you more.
In the meanwhile, be aware of the hard Serbian history in, let`s say, last 500 years where we fought literally to survive (not to speak of earlier history), our medieval empire shattered by multiple antagonistic empires. Then came the Balkan War, WW1, WW2, destruction of Yugoslavia by the EU and then NATO attack in 1999. For all that time your Yanks and Brits had a lot of time to loot the world.
Still, we recovering and prosper. And we shall prevail
Now, Viva Vox - Hajde Jano (performance at the United Nations) > absolutely no musical instruments, human voice only >
