Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

Velund
6 Mar 2022  #3871

reason to support that invasion and that terrorizing of a peaceful country?

Peaceful countries usually not killing 14000+ of their own citizens, that not wish to lick a$$ to banderists and forget their own language, living on their own land.

I wonder why...

I'm only human....the Ukrainians are my neighbours....it's european family, what can I say? I'm not proud of it but it is what it is....

Peaceful countries

The new term is "mostly peaceful" to account for burning, looting, and other forms of violence the ruling scum finds tolerable or even "progressive".

...the Ukrainians are my neighbours...

I see your point and feel your pain. Really.
My point number 2 is that if we compare the possible outcomes - Ukraine back with Russia vs the US in war with Russia, those are not even close - on your list as well as every person in Ukraine. Seriously, I lived "under Soviet occupation" and, except that I was paid sh*it money, life was normal.

Seriously, I lived "under Soviet occupation"....

Me too!

I always wanted out, since I was old enough to know what was behind the "wall". With 18 I got out....

I remember very well not having the choices people only a few hundred metres away from me had....to watch what you say so that nobody comes knocking in the night....not being able to live your life as YOU decide to, but having to fulfill some state plan....

If someone would threaten to bring that all back, I would fight too!

In the middle of Kharkiv, people were lining up for groceries... you'll never believe what happened next!

The problem with novi's "unarmed civilians should respect foreign invaders" line is that doesn't stop the invaders from attacking unarmed civilians....

@Novichok
And thats where all your theories and arguments and quasi comparisons are flawed. The US is not involved on the ground. Period. Europe does not have to GAF about Russian paranoid ideas of what might, could, or if this happens BS. WTF don't you understand? You know no history other than that that suits your twisted mind. You have a life you obviously do not deserve because of the USA and all its wars. Like it or leave it. Pretty simple.

Now, as the US said would happen, Putin is making claims that Ukraine was building a dirty bomb at Chernobyl. Once again, completely outed weeks before the action takes place. This is called being predictable. Like his ground troops are predictable, and easily killed. Putin may appear hard, but really he is a moron or his military is full of morons. Which is it?

novi's "unarmed civilians should respect foreign invaders" line

Quoting or paraphrasing? I would like to respond but I need that clarification first. Honestly.

people only a few hundred metres away from me had...

Now I am with you. At least I had no Poland A and Poland B to compare. I remember that train ride in 1966 through Berlin E and minutes later Berlin W. It was like Nevada desert vs Las Vegas.

Yeah....wasn't it! :)

mafketis

paraphrasing?

yes, accurate or not? how would your advice helped the unarmed civilians shot in downtown Kharkiv?

More and more reports of the Russo-nazi army targeting civilians... which is about what you'd expect. The Blitzkrieg failed and now they just want to destroy... what an admirable culture!

We've known for some time that Joe Biden has dementia. But the senile old fool is making it very furious now. During an interview, he said he was very surprised that Vladimir Putin attacked Russia.

"This hasn't happened since World War II," added the insane, incompetent, elderly nut.

You think this is a joke, but no, it really is:

As opposed to an insane, incompetent Russian troll? That would be yourself in case you're in doubt.

Btw if one is insane it follows that one is a nut.

As it was in WWII....where is the difference? Good vs Evil anybody?

I'm making the slippery slope argument because, if anything, the last 10 or so years have been proving all the slippery slopes true again and again and again. It's easy to concentrate on the rabid dog (and make no mistake, I would not shed a single tear for Putin if this were his downfall), but 'temporary' and 'crisis' measures taken by governments have a very alarming tendency to become permanent. There's also the matter of precedence, in that once something is introduced for the first time, doing it again becomes much easier, including in situations of smaller necessity.

Banning their advertising revenue and things like this is smart.

As for keeping my priorities straight - RT's (in)ability to do its propaganda does not concern me in the slightest. But the long-term repercussions of the mechanism preventing RT from spreading its propaganda have a likelihood of affecting me in the future.

Idk men, it's something of a shitshow. I don't know what to think of it all anymore, except for the fact that Putin deserves to be knocked over the head with a golf club for doing something so patently retarded and effectively opening this pandora's box.

..it's european family, what can I say?

If all the Europeans countries were united Putin wouldnt have a chance. Its too bad NATO couldnt act alone without the US, just saying....

This is Bidens solution to the problem, hes sending Harris to Warsaw...... Powodezenia!

I hope, she doesnt recite " The Cat in The Hat".

I tried to locate the post I quoted from and came up empty. Did you delete it?

Yes, they do. Those "measures" are usually imposed under the pressure "to do something" by the emotional chicks and girlie men.
Long-term unintended consequences? What's that?

Don't make ma laugh

I would prefer, of course, to make you cry. ;)

After Zelensky's address to the people of Donbass, where he said that Ukraine never shelled them, in the same minutes that the suburbs of Donetsk were being shelled with Grad missiles, I don't need to visit the circus anymore. That was today, in case you haven't heard.

More than 4000 people detained in Moscow today for demonstrating against the war. If that many were detained you can bet there were a lot more who weren't. This is Russia, the people need to keep it up. They can not arrest everyone. The bigger the better, and if done with real coordination Putin and his biatches will hang.

@Crnogorac3 @Velund
Better hope they dont find you when it all comes down. Remember what your comrades did to the last Tsar? Could it be that all Putin supporters are taken to a basement? Or better yet, for participating in war crimes all taken to the gallows? Oh yes, the good old days eh comrades? Happy gulag!

To spread "democracy" no sacrifice is too painful, including 100,000 dead Americans in Korea and Vietnam.

What this forum needs badly is a sobriety test.

short story: The Blitzkrieg (the Russian version uses the term - Блиц-криг) has failed and now everybody is fvkked because there's no way out for Russia (or anyone else).

I am not surprised. From strictly military pov, blitzkriegs have to be either extremely brutal (clearly not applicable if one wants to keep things working) or with overwhelming force that Russia does not have or didn't want to deploy. When a civilian with a hand-held launcher can take out a tank wars like this one cannot be fast and bloodless.

They're going to try evacuating Mariupol again today, starting at 1pm Polish time.

theguardian.com/us-news/2019/dec/27/eddie-gallagher-trump-navy-seal-iraq

Perhaps for starters that American (and all other) soldiers can be tried by an international tribunal. Without that, all other questions are a severe hypocrisy.

Bratwurst Boy
6 Mar 2022  #3898

I am not surprised.

Me neither!

For a real Blitzkrieg you need to have and use air superiority! And then you bomb the sh*it out of the enemy first (Wehrmacht!)....something the Russians never did and that had all western experts puzzled...instead Putin did send a much to small ground force only!

The only explanation they came up with is that Putin has totally miscalculated what his "adventure" in Ukraine is about. Maybe he truly did believe his own propaganda about a people in need (and only waiting for) liberation by their russian "brothers"...

Unbelievable! But maybe the truth? If so then nobody in Putin's inner circle tried to put some realism and facts to him before he gave the order....reminds me abit about Stalin's last years too! His lackeys had to much fear to say anything which "he" might not have wanted to hear...

Crow

Time is the world gets hones International Tribunal, indeed. We also need reformed UN.

Quoting from theguardian.com:

A Navy Seal platoon leader controversially cleared of war crimes by Donald Trump was a "toxic" character who was "OK with killing anything that moved", according to fellow Iraq veterans who reported his conduct to military investigators.

My guess is that Guardian would like to remove that story if they could.
