For me Russian demands are puzzling. If they want to force Ukrainian president to sign some treaties, such as recognition of non-Ukrainian status of Donbass and Crimea and confirm the block neutrality, they obviously suppose to know that from point of law any treaties signed under compulsion cannot have any juridical value. What would prevent Ukrainians to denounce such treaties in any convenient moment for them after Russia will withdraw its forces from Ukraine? And if Russia could force Ukraine to comply the treaty only by constant military presence, then what is the sense to force them to sign any documents?

Little chances in nearest couple of years. At least in USA - here is impossible to get US visa at all. Friend of mine (returned to Moscow after 10+ years in USA, have son there) had to get Schengen visa first and go to US embassy in Warsaw for interview to get visa to visit their son.

I have been here on a trade treaty visa all these years. Rest of family got green cards, and youngest brother a passport. I'm worried that if the current situation persists I will have to follow them, since going home and renewing this visa is starting to seem like a daunting task.
