Probably he is one of the oldest leaders in history who started an offensive war. For example Hitler was arond 50 when he started WWII, Napoleon started his campains in his 30-th. No one expected to see Ukraine in NATO in the nearest 10-15 years at least. Putin will be 80-85 years old in 10-15 years. Does he really care?!

We are talking about different psychos. The psycho from the West has been to Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, killed a lot of people, and, as Dirk said, lost anyway. Now, that psycho comes with Article 5 - the fuse that can start a big one. That's much worse than any other psycho.

There is something very disturbing when Fox sounds like CNN. Another curious fact: not one Fox talking head said that the war can be stopped by Ukraine the same way it was stopped in Poland in October of 1939 and in Germany in 1945. Pure magic...Amazing how it works.

Suburbs of Kiev are about 50 miles (80km) in straight line from Belarussian border. It's over three weeks now since the travelling freak circus show (aka Russian army) entered Ukraine and has been trying to capture Kiev (how long was it supposed to take? 48 hours, right? xD). Military experts all over the world agree that Kiev won't be taken (which actually doesn't take an expert to predict at the moment :)).



The Kiev is not only not taken but it is not even surrounded - the supplies are rolling into the city without problems. I am trying to think about something similar to the ridiculous failure of Russia in Ukraine - mass invasion of a much larger country against a smaller one that would go equally badly, but nothing comes to mind. Any amateur historians here who could perhaps help me? Has there ever been a greater show of military ineptitude?

Now Japan reporting they sighted 4 Russian ships taking more troops and supplies to Ukraine. Forces from pacific fleet and Armenia. Not using all their white Russians first. Just the other ethnic groups because Putin knows that if the white kids start coming back in body bags then he will not be so popular. More "to go" bags please.

Have you also noticed all the little whiners have stopped complaining about gas shortages and costs with oil under $100 a barrel again? Every day oil under $100 a barrel costs Russia millions of dollars. Not only getting squeezed by not being able to buy things, and now you cant even make money on the oil black market. On a side note, all Russian bakeries have been instructed to add sawdust to bread dough moving forward, as Putin has said it is more filling this way.
