All kinds of polls, including one conducted by independent Levada Center show that the majority of Russians support invasion.
What's more, according to some poll, they even support "widening Russian influence by military means" also in other countries, including Poland.
And, apparently, the letter "Z" is everywhere in Russia these days, people put it even on their cars and clothes.
Putin has been brainwashing Russians since 1999... It's been 23 years already...
And don't forget that even sportspeople who often travel abroad, know English or some other language and have access to all the information that we have... choose to believe Russian propaganda anyway.

I'm afraid that having one psycho spreading some propaganda isn't enough... This propaganda has to have a fertile soil to grow on.

Having a common enemy (an authoritarian conservativist state) does not let PiS or any other absolutist political faction off the hook for misdeeds..

Very much so; the internet as a communication tool is in part responsible, as is the general cynicism of a population bombarded with propaganda. We shouldn't assume that he Russians who appear to swallow Putin's TV lies truly believe what they hear any more than the Poles in small towns who appear to swallow PiS TV lies. People browbeaten with obviously false propaganda become cynical.

Purveyors of religious doctrine have known it for centuries, the Russians for almost as long, and Polish politicians are by no means naive about this.

Jon357, I live in Poland, even in "Poland B"... in a city that was known for supporting PiS... It's easy and convenient to blame everything on propaganda, the internet or whatever... But I know people in Poland, PiS voters, not only politicians - and these people often have issues... No, they're often not "like us"... Not quite... And this "not quite" can make all the difference...

The same is with Russians... Based on my 7 years of discussions with Russians I can say that something happened to them... Something bad. Not only to their minds, but also to their souls and hearts. Not to all of them - I don't know to how many, but it must be many... I do hope I'm wrong - that majority of Russians aren't like this... But I see something similar in pro-PiS Poles, although not as bad... so, I'm not very hopeful...
