It was strange and creepy to witness for someone living in a democratic country. This guy is the head of Russia's foreign intelligence service and it looked like as if he didn't know what Putin wants him to say. Putin was scolding and humiliating him as if the guy was some schoolboy. Putin was behaving like some dictator who's making sure that this guy and everyone around knows that this guy's fate is hanging by a thread (or at least that's my guess). If Putin behaves like this towards his own people at top positions, then I can imagine that they may not be very willing to tell him what he doesn't want to hear.

I'm fairly sure that's wasn't what Putin wanted.....but it's a consequence of his invasion in Ukraine....also the stationing of alot more NATO troops along NATO borders...the NATO Eastern Enlargement is being finalized...at last!

EU defense and foreign ministers on Monday adopted a new security strategy, known as "Strategic Compass."

As part of the new strategy, the EU will create a rapid reaction of as many as 5,000 troops, an overhaul of the EU battlegroups that have existed only on paper since 2007.

The joint response forces are to be operational by 2025....

Without Putins invasion that idea would still stand on paper only....for more years to come....nobody in the West wanting to disturb the "status quo" with Russia! But that all has changed now...that is just the beginning, a true "Zeitenwende".

I have no doubt that at the end of it stands a full european army!

Don't know about his castration status but there have been suggestion he's on steroids... (and parkinsons does lead to paranoid delusions in many sufferers)

I'm not sure how realistic this is, but the armies of EU countries defenitely should be able to operate together to be able to quickly and effectively respond to an attack. So, I think such a rapid responce forse is a good idea and a good start :)

Let's just hope it won't stay on paper...

Those are the biggest EU countries and France has nukes... So, even if they weren't officialy in charge, I'm guessing they would have the most to say... I personally would like Hungary to be out of this, since they're nothing more than a Russian Trojan horse.

And anyway, it's Orban who's in charge of Hungary and who knows for how long - that's the reality. Confidentiality is very important in military matters and it doesn't look like Hungarians can be trusted. They can be included once they make up their minds about their alliances :/

Well of course it's not. That would show a crack in the armor and go against the western line - no different than the human shields Azov used in Mariupol, the videos of schools/churches/blocks/etc. being fortified and snipers on the roof, people getting taped to poles for being/speaking Russian, etc. etc.
