Kryviy Rih, Ukraine - Russia accused Ukrainian forces of staging a daring air raid against an oil depot inside Russian territory Friday morning.
The regional governor said two Ukrainian helicopters attacked the fuel facility in Belgorod, about 20 miles inside Russia, and video showed storage tanks in flames.

Erm... what? Russia has been bombing Ukrainian territory for the past month or so, and they are "accusing" Ukraine of bombing Russian territory? Hey, retards, newsflash - that's what happens in a war. :D

The regional governor said two Ukrainian helicopters attacked the fuel facility in Belgorod, about 20 miles inside Russia

Great job! They were just giving mongols the taste of their own medicine. Fair play.

The point is that she's not a credible source.

But you didn't listen to what she said. On the other hand, Paulina claiming that Putin suffers from "paranoia" is very credible. It must be that MD by her name. You two deserve each other.

The snake (the US) promised Gorbachev that NATO would not expand.

I've already proven on this thread that it's one of Putin's lies. Did you miss it or did your "amnesia" kick in?

finalist in 2013's Hometown Hotties Competition. Yes, with that background, her insights into European politics must be staggering

Hehe... lol

There is no "existential threat" to Russia.

Novichok sounds like some very hardcore (and retarded) pro-Putin Russian. For people like him only Russia has the right to feel "existentially threatened" and to do something about it. According to such people the sole purpose of existence for Russia's neighbours is to be "buffers" between Russia and the West, or, better yet, Russia's little slaves, like Belarus, no matter whether they like it or not.

The US had many warheads and still lost in Vietnam and Afghanistan

And yet, noone dares to invade the US. The Soviet Union also lost a war in Afghanistan and the Cold War... and yet... noone invaded it, even when it was weak. What does that tell you?

Another free, independent, democratic country considers joining NATO. According to words of Sweden's PM, Magdalena Andersson...

wydarzenia.interia.pl/news-premier-szwecji-nie-wykluczam-wstapienia-naszego-kraju-do-na,nId,5932174

... it is likely that Sweden will apply for membership this year.

It's good to see the Free World uniting under one alliance :)

NATO expansion was the NUMBER ONE SUBJECT

Sure sign of a know-nothing.... the more a writerr knows about Russia and the inner workings of Putin's Russia in particular the less they talk about NATO as a motivation for the invasion.

He doesn't really care more about NATO than JK Rowling (another cynical reference meant to catch the attention of mid-wits who somehow think of him as a defender of traditional values).

The real most important reasons seem to be (roughly in no particular order).

Ukraine has started to provide a higher standard of living for much of its population than does Putin's Russia (this could lead to thoughts he doesn't want thunk in Russia).

He's reclaiming his position (he'd been losing power in his own structures and this was a way to remind everyone who was in charge).

A big oil deposit was discovered in Eastern Ukraine... less than a year later he invaded (do the math).

He imagines he a mission to recreate some version of a Soviet/Russian empire (a non-starter without Ukraine).

Land bridge to Crimea (a bottomless money pit without it).

Not about NATO (except in the fevered minds of a few self-hating westerners).

But you didn't listen to what she said.

When I want to form an opinion about a war, I look for credible sources of information and analysis. She doesn't have the education, depth of knowledge or experience of the issues she's discussing to be credible. Let's put it this way, If Russia V Ukraine were a court case, the Russians wouldn't be calling Ms Iversen as one of their expert witnesses.

Why is it that an average of 50,000 Ukrainian refugees are entering Poland every day met with hot food and tea yet the Belarus refugees are being left to freeze and refused admittance to Poland ?

Paulina

@johnny_reb, what "Belarus refugees"?

A big oil deposit was discovered in Eastern Ukraine... less than a year later he invaded (do the math).

Oh, I didn't know about that... Very interesting indeed...

GefreiterKania

what "Belarus refugees"?

He probably means the Arabs that Lukashenka brought by planes, charged them for the trip, and is trying to push through the border.

Yes, I wonder why they are refused admittance :D

Should I have said Belarus "migrants' instead of refugees ?
They are all desperate people.

Oh, I didn't know about that...

rferl.org/a/ukraine-discovers-oil-field/25044815.html

Putin also threatened to create a regional separatist movement in the east in 2013 (it's a phony Russian-created conflict) anyone who thinks otherwise is seriously under-informed or simply a moron (or on a Russian payroll).

what "Belarus refugees"?

Actual refugees from Belarus are welcomed.... Iraqi tourists who want to move to Schengen... not so much.

Pachamama. Its all about Pachamama. Her power is enormous. So every banana state considers belonging to banana split.

No. They have nothing to do with Belarus (apart from being brought to Europe by the Belarussian dictator). You should have said 'Arab welfare tourists'.

They are all desperate people.

If they were so desperate, they would have gone to the first safe country when running away from war (just like Ukrainian refugees in Poland did). Those welfare tourists, however, want to go to Germany (through Poland). I hope you grasp the difference now.

Nobody invaded the USSR and it fell apart. Nobody invaded the US and it's losing on all fronts. Slowly, by million cuts and by the internal rot, overspending, and open borders. Memo to dumb Polaks: there are more ways to cause the death of a nation than by a direct nuclear hit. See: Poland resisting dark migrants.

Thank you for setting me straight on that.
Kind of like all the welfare tourist that enter Mexico from Central and South America that are invading the U.S.
Huge difference. Got it.
Thanks GefreiterKania and Paulina for the lesson on the difference between them.

Who knows. Maybe they still maneuver in world politics? Besides, talked to man today and he said Lwow smile to Poland and Russia won`t attack if Poland liberate it.

Who knows.

I do. They want to look and feel brave and fight Russians to the last Ukrainian. They didn't want to be so brave and fight to the last Pole in October 1939. They just surrendered - those Surrender Stasios. They repeated the same 5 years later.

They want to look and feel brave and fight Russians

Its a general habit of humans to behave like a bests when encounter weakness. Russia looks weak. I told already that Poles knows that Vatican hate them more then Russia but they fear Vatican more then Russia.

If Russia just can give them demonstration without harming Poland. What you think? For example, Russia could hit Rome. Who gives a shi*. Directly at papal window. It would be something. Then you would see how Slavic world uniting against nazis.

They didn't want to be so brave and fight to the last Pole in October 1939. They just surrendered

Of course. Pope was marching with Germans.

Its a general habit of humans to behave like a bests when encounter weakness.

According to the PF philosophers, that law of nature should now be suspended. Along with common sense.

In their dreams, Russian can be pushed out of Crimea and whatever Russia controls now if they post enough profound legalisms and preach from the High Moral Ground loudly enough. Hahahahahahahaha...

Nobody invaded the USSR and it fell apart.

Yes, exactly. The West managed to defeat the USSR by non-military means.

But, in fact, the West only weakened the Soviet Union, it didn't make it fall apart. The Soviet Union fell apart, because it was held together by force against the will of the people. The Soviet Union was based on military conquest, brute force, lies and persecution. The Warsaw Pact ceased to exist for the same reasons. Unlike NATO and the EU whose membership is still very much sought after. Why is that? Because countries get attracted to those two due to their soft power. The Soviet Union was using force to make others "join".

And Russia is doing the same mistake again. And who knows, maybe it's going to be it's downfall... again.

Slowly, by million cuts and by the internal rot, overspending, and open borders.

Is Russia doing it to the US? What's your point?

there are more ways to cause the death of a nation than by a direct nuclear hit

Why complain so much about NATO enlargement then?

And you're being overdramatic. The Russian people didn't die as a nation just because the USSR fell apart. Far from it. Americans won't die as a nation either. It isn't so easy to kill/destroy a whole nation. Poles would know :)

Is Russia doing it to the US? What's your point?

My English is perfect and does not need to be explained.

The West managed to defeat the USSR by non-military means.

The West didn't defeat anything. It couldn't even defeat the smelly guys with AKs but left billions in military hardware in Kabul. What it got was another load of "refugees" for the trillions it spent there.

It isn't so easy to kill/destroy a whole nation.

It is when that nation talks itself into suicide. That's why Poland resists foreign incompatible scum since it knows that multicultural mental disorder means death. Poland survived because it clung to the language and its religion. See: California. No nukes, no artillery, and it's gone and so is English.

Vatniks: ukraine has no chance. Nazi Russia stronger. Easy practice not war. No contest.

Reality: Ukraine holding them off. Nazi Russia flees tough battles after a month.

Vatniks: WE GOT NUKES

Imagine the US threatening Iraq or the talisman with nukes.

Threatening nukes usage is a desperate act of a coward who fears they can't win so they dump the chess board.

Nazi Russia needs nukes. If they didn't , they would have been conquered already. LOL
