Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

Miloslaw

A man who is president for life and scores 70 to 80% approval votes

Lol!!!!

Do you really believe that cr@p Rich?

Russian people do not know the facts.

I know that, you know that but they don't.....how can they judge without knowing the truth?

Putin will come unstuck eventually, because even in Russia, they cannot hide the truth indefinitely.

Russians want to be seen as Europeans

Not really... At least not anymore. I already wrote that Russians (at least those pro-Putin ones that I've discussed with) consider Russia to be neither Europe nor Asia. "Russia is Russia", they claimed.

but they just don't think or behave like we do.

I agree.

They are more like wild animals.

Like sociopaths rather... imho. They're like Novichok. No wonder he likes them and Putin so much.

. A man who is president for life and scores 70 to 80% approval votes does not need to be defended

Nyah, he just hides in a bunker for two years while a team of doctors tries to keep his rotting carcass alive...

Pineapple! I win! You owe me $100!!!!!!

What's missing in a report about Russian war crimes is the word Russia!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Do you really believe that cr@p Rich?

Yes, I do because any American or Western news org can go to Moscow and ask 100 random people and prove the opposite. If you want to claim that all polls are fake, I am listening. Let's start with a poll in the UK or the US if people like illegals. Oops... no such polls. Sorry. So much for "democracies".

What's missing in a report about Russian war crimes

When I say "The sun set" I don't have to add "in the west"

War crimes in Ukraine can, by definition, only be committed by Russia.

Russia crossed the border, nothing done in defense of Ukraine against Russian invaders is a crime.

Novichok

War crimes in Ukraine can, by definition, only be committed by Russia.

No, my dear naive maf. That statement was reviewed by a platoon of lawyers and the omission of the word "Russia" is 100% deliberate.
Anyone can shoot and kill. Now a shocker so brace yourself: Ukrainians can too!!!! And they did it in the past, those lovely boy scouts, to help Nazis, no less.

Remember the Tonkin Resolution? Total fu*cking fabrication!!! And by who??? The number one superpower and a "democracy"!!! The proud and only US of A.

Miloslaw
4 Apr 2022  #7537

Yes, I do

More fool you.

The polls are not fake.

The average Russian thinks Putin is doing a great job.
But they have no reliable info to base their opinions on.
And are incapable of making that judgement.

You were an engineer, would you have gone ahead with a project if you knew that you were lacking in some fundamental knowledge?

Russia crossed the border, nothing done in defense of Ukraine against Russian invaders is a crime

Agreed 100%.

Novichok
4 Apr 2022  #7538

But they have no reliable info to base their opinions on.

They have plenty. It's called the internet. If Velund can post on PF and watch Youtube, CNN, and RT, so can 100 million Russians. My money is that the average Russian knows more about Russia than the average American about "America".

nothing done in defense of Ukraine against Russian invaders is a crime.

Agreed 100%.

Easy. He just made you a criminal.

No wonder he likes them and Putin so much.

You forgot Masha.

A man who is president for life and scores 70 to 80% approval votes does not need to be defended.

He scores this high now thanks to the invasion.

Putin's popularity got a big blow after the retirement age and tax reform in 2018 - "only" 54% of Russians would vote for him at that time:

rp.pl/spoleczenstwo/art1884461-reforma-emerytalna-uderza-w-poparcie-dla-putina

Here you have a graph with Putin's support among Russians (as polled by Levada Center) since 1999 to 2022:

mobile.twitter.com/jegorupan/status/1509251814641872900

Notice the big fall of Putin's popularity between 2011 and 2014. It happened after elections in Russia that many saw as falsified - protests were taking place since 2011 to 2013 (my friend from Moscow was taking part in those protests):

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%932013_Russian_protests

And then... Boom... Russian annexation of Crimea happened in 2014... and Putin's popularity skyrocketed!

But then the retirement age and tax reform in 2018 happened and Putin's popularity decreased again... To make matters worse the largest anti-government protests in the history of Belarus took place in 2020-2021 - that must have scared Putin, I imagine:

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020%E2%80%932021_Belarusian_protests

And that was exactly when Navalny got poisoned... When he got back to Russia in January 2021 he got arrested and after his arrest widespread protests took place in Russia in support of Navalny (interestingly there was a lot of young people among the protestors - that was something new):

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Russian_protests

And then... Boom... Russian invasion on Ukraine happened and... Putin's popularity skyrocketed... again!

Can you see a parttern here?

Novichok
4 Apr 2022  #7540

He scores this high now thanks to the invasion.

Putin would be grateful to you for that post. You just admitted that polls are reasonably honest and that Putin is not a dictator and a tyrant. My conclusions are based on...

that must have scared Putin,

You see, dictators and tyrants do not scare easily. They just arrest and shoot people they don't like. Some send them to re-education centers.

BTW, I hope this war will go on for a while. What else would we discuss with such passion here and nag others to be heroes?

Paulina
4 Apr 2022  #7541

@Novichok, I think Putin was an authoritarian ruler, but it looks like he's heading towards dictatorship.

You just admitted that polls are reasonably honest and that Putin is not a dictator and a tyrant.

One doesn't exclude the other.

You see, dictators and tyrants do not scare easily.

I think the opposite is true. They arrest and shoot people because they're afraid of losing power.

BTW, I hope this war will go on for a while.

And I hope you'll die soon. And Putin.

Novichok
4 Apr 2022  #7542

They arrest and shoot people because they're afraid of losing power.

Prevention is everything.

I think Putin was an authoritarian ruler, but it looks like he's heading towards dictatorship.

How can you tell if the masses love him or fear him? My bet is that they love him. If I were Russian I would - even before taking a closer look at Biden.

That was a good one, Novichok...Putin and Biden...hahahahahahaha...No, I am not moving to Russia.

Paulina
4 Apr 2022  #7543

@Novichok, masses support Putin because of state propaganda and censorship in the media. And others fear repression:

hrw.org/news/2022/01/13/russia-repression-escalates

If I were Russian I would

I know you would.

No, I am not moving to Russia.

Why not?

After massacre in Bucha

Federal government expels 40 Russian diplomats

spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/krieg-in-ukraine-nach-butscha-massaker-weist-bundesregierung-40-russische-diplomaten-aus-a-8a073219-a10c-4d0a-9156-48e3be21946f

The federal government reacts to the atrocities in Bucha. Foreign Minister Baerbock declared 40 Russian diplomats undesirable persons - they had to leave Germany.....

More important.....in Germany the pressure grows to do something about the energy deliveries.....and the payments for them that is!

PS: The May 9th should get interesting in my 'hood:

Commemoration at the Soviet War Memorial : Propaganda in the Park

Putin friends are mobilizing for May 9th at the Soviet War Memorial in Treptow.

taz.de/Gedenken-am-Sowjetischen-Ehrenmal/!5841628/?bezuggrd=LEU

May 9 Soviet Memorial in Treptower Park in a huge propaganda show for Russian President Vladimir Putin. These pictures are to be shown on Russian state television. At least that is the plan of Putin friends, who are currently in Telegram groups such as "Putin Fanclub", "Russländer & Friends" or the purely Russian-speaking groups "Русские в Германие" (Russia and Germany) and "Поддержка Русскоязычных" (support for Russian speakers) organize and mobilize for it. .....

Just curious...Was the US suspended from the HRC when it invaded Iraq on a rumor that Saddam had what he could legally have?

Bush Jr. should have been tried for war crimes for his invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. Now can we move on to Russia/Ukraine?

PolAmKrakow

Now comes news the US tested a hypersonic missile successfully last month and did not announce it in order to not escalate tension with Russia. And now, the nuclear game is evened up again.

Images released from MAXAR yesterday now show the dead bodies on the streets, when Russia controlled the regions in Ukraine where war crimes were committed. This is indisputable proof that Russian soldiers committed those crimes. A picture is worth a thousand words is it not? And now with proof, I am more certain we can expect Putin to be charged. Which country will charge him in the Hague? How poetic would it be if it were Germany? I could not think of a better way for Germany to support Ukraine, and completely turn the page on the past. Symbolism goes a long way in Russia, and they so love their victory over the Nazi's that Germany's bringing charges would be a kick in the balls they could not stand. Imagine that on May 9th? We can dream.

I could easily detect the poster's gender from what was in it;

I quoted from an article written by a man, Colm Ó Mongáin, deputy foreign editor at RTE.

sob stories and touchy-feely female crap.

Just facts. "they shot him all over this side [on the chest]. And another shot went slightly below the temple." That's a simple statement of fact, a simple description of a murder. Nothing touch-feely about it.

In a court of law (I do know about the law actually, much more than you do I'll warrant as my father's family has been in legal practice for more than 250 years), a witness is required to state only what they themselves saw and heard (that's the hearsay rule my little scholar), without comment, speculation or opinion.

Oh and a useful legal pointer for you Novi, one must not confuse probability with possibility. Off you go now and figure out what that means in relation to war crimes against Ukrainians civilians.

mafketis
5 Apr 2022  #7548

Anyone can shoot and kill.

In this case, satellite imagery shows that the bodies started appearing in the streets while the Russians were still there, so.... war crimes by Russians. Admit it, glory in it! Be happy about it! It's just what you wanted!

More great news. Now mongolSS will no longer be able to lie about it.

@Atch
Evidentiary rules in the Federal and State courts in the US allow for time/date stamped and GPS located imagery to be entered as evidence. I am pretty sure the standards of proof are similar in the Hague. Coupled with witness testimony this is a slam dunk case for any prosecutor. Putin, if these crimes are not negotiated away with Ukraine, will likely be a convicted war criminal at some point. Never being able to leave Russia without the fear of arrest and extradition.

mafketis

will no longer be able to lie about it.

You don't know how the Russian state (or its servants) operate, do you?

Never underestimate their potential for bold-faced lies and infantile evasion.

Atch

their potential for bold-faced lies and infantile evasion

Infantile is exactly the word. Listening to the Russians and their 'we didn't do it' rhetoric, reminds me of a kid I used to teach who had what we euphemistically refer to as 'behaviour issues'. Anyway, one day when she was about nine, she stole a very large book from the school reference library. She stood there, squinting malevolently at us with the outline of this enormous tome protruding from under her school jumper (sweater for our American friends) while insisting "I never took nothin' ".

Russia would have us believe, it seems, that every act of aggression carried out since the war began is the work of the Ukrainians themselves. The murders at Bucha are not the first thing they've denied. It's merely the lastest in a long list of 'it wasn't us, it was the Ukrainians,'

Miloslaw

More mass graves, this time in Borodianka, about 80km from Kyiv.

Denmark is to expel 15 Russian 'diplomats'.

And now Italy has expelled 30 Russian 'diplomats'.

Let's look at what Human Rights Watch said after it was reviewed by their lawyers,

Just thought I'd pull you up on that one, knowing what a dishonest individual you are.

And indeed once again you are shown to be a liar - quelle surprise.

You quoted from HRW:

'These include a case of repeated rape; two cases of summary execution, one of six men, the other of one man; and other cases of unlawful violence and threats against civilians between February 27 and March 14, 2022. Soldiers were also implicated in looting civilian property, including food, clothing, and firewood.'

But omitted the words which preceded them:

"Human Rights Watch has documented several cases of Russian military forces committing laws-of-war violations against civilians"

But according to you:

Very good, HRW!!! Not "Russians". Not "Russia". Simply: "those who carried out these abuses.

And here's a bit more from the same Human Rights Watch article:

"Rape, murder, and other violent acts against people in theRussianforces' custody'

"Russian forces in Bucha, about 30 kilometers northwest of Kyiv, rounded up five men and summarily executed one of them.

"Russian forces in the village of Staryi Bykiv, in Chernihiv region, rounded up at least six men on February 27, and later executed them"

"Russian soldiers in the village of Vorzel, about 50 kilometers northwest of Kyiv, threw a smoke grenade into a basement, then shot a woman and a 14-year-old child."

The article concludes with the words 'those who carried out these abuses' - the perpetrators having already been referred to throughout the article as Russian.

I don't know why you bother wasting your time telling lies here.

Tell the truth... did you teach Vicky Pollard?

Not once, but many times :))

Western outrage, new sanctions, and promised state-of-the-art weapons came too late to save the man found shot dead next to his bike on a grassy bank outside Kyiv.

Ukrainian soldiers arrest suspected pro Russia collaborators. Warning strong footage the victims are violently assaulted by the Ukraine police officers.
They are insulted, abused and humiliated. Some of them can be seen naked and beaten up.

Brutal footage of violence against those people in Ukraine who are deemed to be pro-Russians, and there are 18+ nudities.

@Crnogorac3
How stupid does Russia look now for selling Alaska? For a few million dollars. Why? Because Russia couldn't even manage their settlements in Alaska. Russians have proven time and again that management of lands and people immediately outside of major cities within the Russian land mass is absolutely beyond their scope of capabilities. Russia can not even manage itself or its military and you think some day they could be threatening the continental USA?

You think China or Iran would actually partner with Russia in a military engagement after seeing how absolutely inept the Russian army actually is? Never going to happen. Xi is laughing at Russia's absolute bungling of the invasion in Ukraine. Now he is looking at Siberia with an eye for expansion. Russia isn't a threat to China that's for sure.
