Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

PolAmKrakow

@jon357
Macron is just a pu$$y. He is fighting for his political life with MLP Putin's french wh0re. Germany is afraid Putin will cut off the gas supply completely. These are countries that have been completely neutered by the left.

jon357

@PolAmKrakow
Or neutered by the right. They fetishise business at the expense of humans.

After this is over, there will have to be a few steps taken about this.

Tacitus

Germany is afraid Putin will cut off the gas supply completely

The problem is that Germany can not send any heavy weaponry without compromising the rest of its' armed forces. Those 50 Leopard tanks would need 3 or more months of maintenance until they can be send to Ukraine and are thus useless. Germany has done everything it can at this point.

20 Apr 2022  #8704

Snivelling excuses.

Everybody else has managed it.

Tacitus
20 Apr 2022  #8705

Yeah, because they either have reserves of old Soviet equipment, have a lot of stuff in general or are not expected to meaningfully participate in NATOs' defence, and can depend on NATO filling the gaps. Like Slovakia that sent S30 systems and got a Germam patriot battailon for cover.

The USA has literally thousands of Abrams it does not need, yet has so far refused to send any to Ukraine, I wonder why.

PolAmKrakow
20 Apr 2022  #8706

@Tacitus
Thousands of Abrams? Not likely. They are having to build Abrams for Poland's order. Remember, the USA has essentially been at war for 20 years in the middle east. Surplus is not a word in the military vocabulary at this time. Tanks are one thing, but the high tech weapons are what is winning the war for Ukraine. Production is being ramped up on those items now, as US stocks are being depleted.

Britain has managed it so far, was sending arms (that have changed the course of the war) since before Putler invaded, responded right at the start (when certain countries refused, telling President Zelenskiy that Kyiv would be overrun in 4 days and actually blocking other countries from helping) and are sending more weapons now and more in the future.

Then again, we aren't run by economists, nor is our government riddled with Putler supporters.

As for claiming not to have "a lot of stuff in general", both France and germany have huge arms industries and certainly manage to export "a lot of stuff". Why don't they have "a lot of stuff in general" themselves?

How can they live with the shame and disgrace?

Interesting take on Germany.... 15 or so years of concerted policy effort down the drain with nothing but a weakened state and international disdain to show for it except Schroeder's magnificent career as a Russian shill. How proud Germany must be of that....

Tacitus

UK was sending arms

But not heavy weapons, unless I have missed Challenger tanks in Ukraine. Germany has send similar weapons and has been Ukraines' second biggest financial donor, not to mention taking care of Ukrainian refugees. Berlin has on balance invested significantly more ressources and effort in support of Ukraine than London has. 50 rusty tanks in need of maintenance would not change this. I am very proud of Germany has done and will continue to do in the future. I'll do my part in doing extra hours in the city administration on order to accomodate the oncoming refugees.

As for Abrams:

google.com/amp/s/military.com/daily-news/2014/12/18/congress-again-buys-abrams-tanks-the-army-doesnt-want.html/amp

Why don't they have

Years of defence cuts. The Bundeswehr has it this point perhaps working 250 MBT that are all needed for NATO defence plans. Plus quite a lot of stuff that gets exported like frigates and submarines will do Ukraine. And again, the USA exports more weapons than France, the UK and Germany combined yet are not exactly rushing to roll out the big guns.

jon357
20 Apr 2022  #8710

But

Many weapons which have changed the course of the war. No buts.

Years of defence cuts

germany manage to sell and export plenty.

For now, anyway.

Then again, we aren't run by economists,

The longer the war goes the richer the economists get.
You think the economists want the war to end ?
The U.S. is racing to arm Ukraine with heavier and more advanced weaponry

jon357
20 Apr 2022  #8712

For a change we agree.

And they do have form for watching other countries' economies crash then buying up their industries.

Germany has send similar weapons

Don't make me laugh, has germany sent anything remotely as 'heavy' as the Stormer MHV with their 17 StarStreak missiles ?
thesun.co.uk/news/18298762/boris-johnson-missile-launchers-ukraine-war/

The German response has been, deflektory, cowardly , and to russian appeasement to refuse to legislate gas cutbacks or ration gas supplies to civilians. As Jon said so many public and sleeper russian intelligence assets.I think someone mentioned that the Germans are paying a billion a day for gas supplies, directly financing Pukins aggression. Of all the EU countries they have the most blood on their hands.

Heh:)

Maybe Germany should really stay with Russia....it's better for us....economically anyhow!

And we just can't trust our so called "allies"....like JonXXX so nicely proves....whenever we don't do exactly their bidding its "Lidice" and "Auschwitz" all over again.

Maybe Germany should really go it's own way again without trying to please these people..jawoll! :)

jon357
20 Apr 2022  #8715

The German response has been, deflektory, cowardly

Certainly, and it's likely to end badly for them.

I remember the coverage (and outrage) when a data leak showed that the US were monitoring certain European 'leaders' it looks increasingly that they has sound grounds for doing so.

And very good news indeed about the Mig-29 fighters. Ukraine can certainly use them now.

How so?

I'm sure Putin would make us even better prices for gas and oil....our industry would make good business there again without the sanctions....our economy would flourish!

It surely couldn't be more worse than the situation as of right now....losing money and essential, vital resources, a collapsing economy and still getting insulted....

losing money and essential, vital resources, a collapsing economy and still getting insulted....

There is an English saying; 'you've made your bed, now lie in it' ;)

"Germany's ruling Social Democrats are facing fresh pressure over their links to Moscow after accusations that a regional leader worked with Kremlin-backed energy giant Gazprom to undermine U.S. sanctions and spread Russian propaganda. The allegations center on Manuela Schwesig, a senior member of Chancellor Olaf Scholz's SPD party and the premier of the northeastern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. "

In the Polish village of Garnkarsko, a monument to Red Army soldiers was demolished. Before that, it had been doused with red paint.

Good riddance. Shame it was standing there far too long.
We have never considered the Red Army our saviors.

We are now not lying in it....that's the thing.

When we would lie in it we would have a grandios economy, no concerns about our future energy and be kissy kissy with Putin....

20 Apr 2022  #8720

.our industry would make good business there again

So now you're doubling down on the failed Schroeder, Merkel, Scholz policies?

I've said the current situation with Germany is far more dangerous to the EU than Brexit could ever be. And.... yep.

If Germany has to choose between

continued existence of the EU

current relationship with Russia

which would people choose?

(hint: no longer possible to pursue both).

Tacitus
20 Apr 2022  #8721

anything remotely as 'heavy

That is what the UK is sending now, not what they have sent before. It evens the scale a bit, but it will be a long way until the UK has caught up to Germany. How many refugees has the UK accepted again so far? 10k? 20k? Come back when you have taken 300k.

are paying a billion a day

Nonsense. The entirety of the EU might pay a bn, of which Germany is but a part of. But please explain why Germany buying gas from Russia is somehow more reprehensible than Poland doing the same thing.

whenever we don't do exactly their bidding

Indeed. In 2015 we tried to help out and show a huminatarian gesture against our best economic interest and Poland spit at us when we asked for even a symbolic gesture of help. Now the same people want us to ruin our economy and compromise our defence capabilities even further while doing nothing of the sort themselves. And somehow I ve got the feeling that it is not Poland that is going to be asked to shoulder thr main burden of financing the rebuilding of Ukraine later on. At this point, it is just spite against Germany that is driving this criticism. Germany is always the one threatening Europe and the EU despite having invested so much into preserving both.

Not to mention how those who demand immediate gas and oil boycott seem to follow the same logic of the previous German Ostpolitik that they decry: Namely that you can influence Russia with economic logic.

mafketis
20 Apr 2022  #8722

Namely that you can influence Russia with economic logic.

The time for trying to "influence" Russia is over.... that's a dry well. Nothing is going to come of it no matter how hard you dig.

Now is the time for isolating and punishing Russia economically

same question, if Germany had to choose would it choose

a) the EU

b) continued energy supplies from Russia

which would the government go for? which would the public go for?

It's getting to that point.

Bratwurst Boy
20 Apr 2022  #8723

which would people choose?

(hint: no longer possible to pursue both).

Seriously? Confronted with a Europe full of "Jons" totally Russia...heh:)

No country would look forward to that **** after 75 years....the mood can tip easily.

jon357
20 Apr 2022  #8724

The time for trying to "influence" Russia is over

If it was ever possible. And of course "economic logic" and basic human morality do not always coincide.

That is what the UK is sending now, not what they have sent before

We've sent plenty. However instead of listening to your apologetics, and trying to keep the thread away from revolving around the increasingly marginalised land(s) of me me me, I'll just refer you to President Zelenskiy's comments on the matter.

Bratwurst Boy
20 Apr 2022  #8725

increasingly marginalised

What? Do you think we can't do another Lidice or Auschwitz so marginalised?

PolAmKrakow
20 Apr 2022  #8726

The solutions are rather simple. Conserve gas, oil and propane by not using so much. Don't drive to the grocery store or the mall. Turn the heat down and get a blanket. Shorten showers and baths, wash clothes in cold water. It is not that difficult and it is smart anyway. Summer is fast approaching, and that buys time for other remedies to be found. That we have to pay more for a while in order to kill Russia off once and for all, is a small price to pay. People just need to stop moaning about a little pain.

main burden of financing the rebuilding of Ukraine later on.

Why do you think, Ukraine cannot be regarded as a place attractive for investments?

Not to mention how those who demand immediate gas and oil boycott

How "clever" do you think you were when decided to bury nuclear and coal power generation? This is always what happens to people who go against the progress. I thought, it is evident that in the nearest 100+ years future belons to safe nuclear generation. Just look at China, India and Russia nuclear programs.

I found this from a facebook polish group:

facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=5286341884719152&id=760131224006930

google translate form polish:

"THEY DEFEND US 🇵🇱🇺🇦
"These girls, women, children who are with us, whom we look after, are wives, daughters, children of those who defend us, they protect us from war, barbarism, murder, rape and destruction. Therefore, let us do everything to make them feel good with us. . "

Said Michał Kamiński, who returned from Ukraine, saw mass graves of still warm bodies. He talked to people, including a girl who must have watched her gang rape her younger sister, who was grateful to God that it was "just" rape and the sister is alive.

Sometimes it seems that war and its cruelty are used to living in peace for three generations, like a science fiction movie. Ladies and Gentlemen, there are murders similar to those of our compatriots in Katyn. The war is at our neighbors, and we cannot be certain in any way that we are safe. The envy of the alms that are given to the wives and children of the heroes who defend us is embarrassing and very out of place. History has shown more than once how cruel the Russian army can be. Some living Poles still remember it. Let us be grateful to the Ukrainian soldiers for the fact that they defend our security as well. Glory to the heroes!

P.S.
Every day 7-8-year-old girls bleeding out after brutal gang rapes are sent to sewing in hospitals You envy our neighbors This trauma that they will grapple with for the next few generations?

It is surprising that the most venom against refugees comes from those who are themselves petitioners of MOPS - those 🤬 Ignorance and selfishness are shocking."

This is why all those 17 yr old wannabe important autistic kid son twitter mostly females form america or the west or transcontinental fmeinsits or new wave feminists saying rape is worse than murder or statutory rape is such a big deal are full of ****. read the quote above. everyone will chose life with rape especially statutory rape than death when **** hits the fan even families of victims. thats why america and its courts are also super fuked up not just ur females and feminists on twitter.
