but doessnt mean ukras dont have their own problems. and morale was strong in ukra soldiers in the first month,,russia bad.
but now for some reason its sharp reverse.
my guess is that russia rotate ,replenish and rearm units regularly , ukraine sometimes replace with territorial defense. and those men are not suitable for front line combat but for territorial "security" tasks

I don't know. At the beginning of May the Russians hoped to encircle the Ukrainian army in Donbass. Then they wanted to only conquer Luhansk and Donezk. Now they mostly focus on Donezk. That does not indicate a breakdown of Ukrainian morale.

Don't matter, whevea they do. The Germans will be there , influencing the negotiations, yes the ukris have lost lives, but the russians did too, after all they liberated Berlin and our poor wretched german souls, cant you give them a break?

Reason is simple - losses between well trained and battle-experienced troops is huge, complete rotation to freshly conscripted civilians, even on a well fortified (in last 8 years) positions is almost the same as retreat, just with more bloodshed.
