Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Crow
26 May 2022  #3181

I bet Poland and Hungary split Galicia 50%-50%. But I think Poland deserve more considering Poles suffered genocide in Galicia by the hands of nazi banderists during WW2. On the other hand, Hungarians would arrive first during WW3. So 50-50 is most certain prospect.

Russia will be giving the world famine

Why Russia?

EU and USA forcing sanctions.

Why Russia?

Because the Russian government (and all who support it) are evil...

EU and USA forcing sanctions

And Russia is blockading the ports.
Are you really as stupid with your propaganda as the Russians?

There are only two publications worth reading: Daily Mail and RT

I agree with Daily Mail.
RT is Russian propaganda trash.

I bet Poland and Hungary split Galicia 50%-50%.

You really are nuts.....Poland and Hungary, unlike Russia and Serbia, have no interest in expansion.
We leave that to you Nazi imperialists....

evil

We Serbs are not evil. We're just snobs. Used to rule. We have always ruled. Only in the last 3000 years there has been an excess where we were jumped by the Greeks and Romans and somehow Western Europe and some others emerged. But things are now returning to normal for the next at least 10,000 years. We just used to rule.

@Novichok

The Times allows comments. Also, it's 170 years old. Also, it's journalists have won 132 Pulitzer Prizes. Also, unlike all the online clickbait shops, the Times actually has the resources to have well staffed bureaus around the world, with local journalists in nearly every place of public interest around the world.

The Daily Mail does not investigate or "originally" report anything. It relies on Reuters and the Associated Press for all its "news", which it dresses up with a little bit of opinion, and prints as it's own. That's not to say that that is not what 99% of other publications out there do - reprint Reuters and AP articles. But the Times and a select few other newspapers have the hundreds of millions of dollars necessary to sustain their own investigatory and reporting abilities. Also, they have the magic of the name. When you show up at some corrupt Mexican minister's office (or any other place around the world), and you say you are from the New York Times - it will make him sweat. If it's the Daily Mail, he'll tell his assistant to tell you to fu*k off.

RT is a different matter. It's a state agency, so it necessarily is one sided when reporting on the actions of the government (don't bite the hand that feeds you). But I think they put out an amazing amount of completely non-political investigations in documentary and article form about issues no one else is reporting about. Again, this is because they have the resources.

@Crow

LOL!!!!
One of the funniest posts you have ever made!

So, according to you, Serbs are born to rule.
Except for the last 3,000 years when the Greeks and Romans stopped you ruling!
Hahahaha!

Let me suggest to you that if you have not ruled for 3,000 years, not only are you not fit to rule, but after all that time you would have forgotten how to anyway!

Serbs are really pathetic wannabes.....

Russia will be giving the world famine...

Meet the seller's conditions (which, btw, is just a matter of sending a memo) and the seller will be oh so happy to sell all the food you need.

You don't want to meet the seller's condition? Go shopping somewhere else. Econ 101.
If Russia took the food you already have or stopped you from growing your own...well...that would be a different story.

The Times allows comments.

I don't care. If it comes from a Bolshevik state, it's bye...Plus I don't trust their comments as one-sided. Comments worth reading are on RT.

And Russia is blockading the ports.

And what is wrong with THAT? The US, the UK, and the EU are blocking Russians so Russians are blocking them. Duh!

Don`t miss the point. Telling you man. Rule of western Europe in last few centuries is just an excess. They walked naked with their di*k`s tied around their bellies and climbed trees, even during those 3000 years of our decline. Even in decline we were example to them. Only few last centuries belonged to them and its over now. Losers are losers. They now returning naked to the nature. Serengeti of Europe.

Hold on for a while. Let's wait and look who will win. Because good always win. Whenewer will win, it will be named good. ;)

And Russia is blockading the ports.

1, Divide quantity of remaining ukrainian fodder wheat (all food grade wheat already sold and exported) and divide by population of the world. How much low grade bread it will make for every people of the world in a half year?

2. Rapeseed and sunflower seed that is still abundant in ukrainian silos is not purchased by countries where famine may occur. It is consumed mainly by Europe. For biodiesel, beyond the other uses.

I expect Operation to last at lest 4-6 years. That would be enough for western Europe to start begging for mercy.

I suspect in 6 years we will have USSA, GDR, Austro-Hungarian confederation and French Khalifate with rebuilt The Notre Dame de Paris Mosque . ;)

When a thief, Russia in this case, steals property and then tries to sell the stolen property, or keeps and hides the stolen property, it is a crime. This is law school 101. So, the seller in this case, Russia, is committing criminal acts, and doing so openly and admittedly.

Now when Ukraine receives the MLRS that will be coming in short order we will see just how much Russian's want to fight. A couple of these systems loaded up and deployed against them will make a huge difference.

@Novichok
As for the rest of the world wanting Russia defeated once and for all, you obviously have lost count of how many countries are helping Ukraine. Its ok, your limited ability to count large numbers is understood. Go get your abacus, or your Texas Instruments calculator and just keep hitting +1 until you get to the number of countries in the world excluding China and a few of the former Soviet turd world countries. Thats should keep you occupied for a while.

GefreiterKania

A seller has a right to sell or not to sell and to set the terms.

Russia is stealing Ukrainian grain, destroying crops and equipment and blockading ports, making it impossible for Ukraine to export its grain. So, no - a thief has no right to steal somebody else's grain.

If this is too complicated for you I will try again using different words.

In this case, it's: remove the sanctions or...

...we will steal Ukrainian grain (5th largest world poroducer of wheat alone) and make it impossible for them to sell it, and in this way we'll produce artificially caused famine (we already have a lot of experience in it - see Holodomor). In this way, as many as 1.7 billion people will face hunger and hundreds of millions of them might die of famine. This will make it the greatest mass genocide in the history of planet Earth.

Germans can start celebrating. Nobody in the world will remember about Hitler or Third Reich after Russia conducts this genocide.

And why remove the sanctions at all? They are making Russia stronger - Putin says so...

tass.com/economy/1456363

... so it has to be true, right?

PolAmKrakow
27 May 2022  #3197

@GefreiterKania
Of course. When the ruble is so strong, and everything is going so well, why would anyone want sanctions removed. That makes no sense at all. In business its pretty simple, when things are working, don't get in the way of your own success by changing things. If anything Putin and Russians should be thanking the west for what has taken place with sanctions. Once again the west makes winners out of losers and it wasn't even intentional.

Strange question but can't we just plant more edible stuff ? There are plenty of farms being used for tobacco, nuts, avocado etc that could be switched to food production. Of course it will be at higher prices but I am skeptical about the starvation claims.

In any case there should be no removal of sanctions

Bobko
27 May 2022  #3199

Its ok, your limited ability to count large numbers is understood

Something like 65% of the world's population has not applied any sanctions to Russia. Show me in what dictionary "the West" equals the world. A large part of the world actually blames "the West" for the current food crisis, for transparently fueling the flames in Ukraine and preventing a negotiated settlement.

Interesting exclusive from Reuters. Has already created a stir in Ukraine. Article discusses how behind the scenes the Americans have been putting restrictions on the Ukrainians around the way in which the weapons being transferred are used.

reuters.com/world/europe/exclusive-us-ukraine-discuss-danger-escalation-new-arms-extend-kyivs-reach-2022-05-26/

Excerpts:

"We have concerns about escalation and yet still do not want to put geographic limits or tie their hands too much with the stuff we're giving them," said one of the three U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity.

A second U.S. official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said Washington and Kyiv had a shared "understanding" about the use of certain Western-provided weapon systems.

"So far, we've been on the same page about the thresholds," the official said
.

So basically, the United States is allowing the Ukrainians to move the weapons around wherever they like, but forbid them from using them to strike targets inside Russia. Interesting war. How do you liberate Crimea if you can't use American weapons against targets located there?

Lenka
27 May 2022  #3201

tobacco, nuts, avocado etc that could be switched to food production.

Nuts and avocado are food and from what I heard you need year's before tabacoi soil recovers.

Scientisrts are working on microbe food I heard.

Crimea isn't Russia, so....

There's one theory out there that the whole thing is US orchestrated and that Russia simply got fooled into invading because the US outsmarted Russia.... again....

It's a color revolution!

They live there.

That's not what I was talking about. Read my exchange with gregy741 for context.

And what is wrong with THAT? The US, the UK, and the EU are blocking Russians so Russians are blocking them.

The West sanctioning Russia won't cause mass starvation in the world. Russia blocking Ukrainian ports will:

euronews.com/2022/05/24/wfp-warns-of-starvation-and-instability-due-to-food-supply-problems-caused-by-russia

A large part of the world actually blames "the West" for the current food crisis

If that's true then that "large part of the world" is ill-informed.

cms neuf
27 May 2022  #3204

I don't know - I had some fields of tobacco myself and I soon started growing rapeseed on them with no problems. Not sure it would be good for wheat but barley for sure.

Yes nuts and avocado are food but very labor intensive- what I mean is surely in Europe and Canada people can increase crop yields. I can't believe a medium size country being invaded means starvation for 1 billion people - it sounds like the kind of doom predictions familiar from the covid times

For sure I won't be eating any microbe food

Paulina

@cms neuf, read this article then:

bbc.com/news/world-europe-61503049.amp

"Russia and Ukraine produce 30% of the world's wheat supply and - prior to the war - Ukraine was seen as the world's bread basket, exporting 4.5 million tonnes of agricultural produce per month through its ports."

PolAmKrakow
27 May 2022  #3206

@Bobko
Ok Einstein, the country's not sanctioning Russia largely do not trade with Russia, or trade so little with Russia that it makes no difference. No one blames the west for the grain shortage, evidence of Russian thieves is all over. And the US has always had limitations on the weapons and their use, this is nothing new, and Ukraine is not the first country to have these restrictions. Look for rockets cooking more Orc's in short order though, and then we will see how much pain Russia can take.

to President Volodymyr Zelensky and his people that there is a limit to how far the United States and NATO will go to confront Russia

I think they're very much aware of that by now.

and limits to the arms, money and political support they can muster.

And what are those limits? Do NATO countries know that themselves at this moment?

the Ukrainian government's decisions be based on a realistic assessment of its means and how much more destruction Ukraine can sustain.

Well, that's common sense. It seems to me, based on Azovstal situation, that the Ukrainians have that common sense. Mariupol and then Azovstal defenders were bounding Russian forces which allowed the Ukrainian army to withstand the first blow of Russian invasion. Once they played their role Azovstal defenders were ordered to surrender. So, it looks like Ukrainian government has more sanity and humanity than their Russian counterpart...

Russia moves 50 year old T-62 tanks into the field. LMFAO This is the successful Russian army? Running out of modern tanks that have proven to be nothing but Orc ovens, in order to upgrade to T-62 tanks that wont be able to stop some modern light equipment! Fing joke of a country. What idiot Russian is going to get into that slow cooker to fight against a modern weaponized army in Ukraine.

In a related story, Ukraine has ordered 50 thousand additional body bags for Russian soldiers.
