Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Coming back to topic - edition 37

According to Ukrainians who have done some statistics, Poland is No 1 country in helping Ukraine. The runner up is the USA.
wydarzenia.interia.pl/raporty/raport-ukraina-rosja/aktualnosci/news-forbes-polska-liderem-udzielania-pomocy-dla-ukrainy,nId,6064652

how?:

voting at the United Nations in favor of withdrawing Russian troops,
introducing sanctions against Russia,
closing airspace for Russian aircraft,
participation in the Ramstein conference,
putting Russia on the list of hostile countries,
expelling 45 Russian diplomats,
providing aid of 3, USD 1 billion (0.46% of GDP)
both the president and the prime minister of Poland visited Ukraine.

Why is it so? Poles can see that Ukrainians have taken over a traditional Polish custom - defending Europe against Mongol savages. Today Ukrs are doing exactly what Poles were doing for centuries. It is obvious we must support them.

I live in America now.

You unpatriotic bastard go back and join Russian military you are needed.

The percentage of people without access

How many people in the US have no access to the internet (even if they want to have and have money for it) or are using outdoors toilet, and take water for a well?

It is obvious we must support them.

in a way that doesn't hurt us badly. This government is crazy, crossing the line ...

How many in US have no access to the internet, or are using outdoors toilet, and take water for a well?

Honestly I can't be bothered to search for this sh!t, but I will tell you what I see. For internet, here in America you can use DirectTV (satellite), or a Verizon/AT&T GSM modem (99% coverage in US). For outdoor toilet, or toilet without central sewerage, I think the percentage is higher than in Russia as I said. Water from well is very widespread in US. Personally, I would actually prefer water from well than from city grid.

In Russia in terms of communications access it is the same. We have satellite internet providers. We have mobile operators that provide 5G access to internet.

Regarding me going back to Russia. It will happen soon, don't worry. However, I will probably always come back to America, at least for some part of the year. America is more like Russia, and Russia is more like America - than they are like Europe. I love both countries. As Margaret Thatcher once said, Europe is a product of history, and America is a product of philosophy. America is bigger than your petty European squabbles, and Russia also always has one foot in the East and one foot in the West. I think this is why your authors and artists are fascinated by them.

I wonder if the Ukrainians will be again such mean resistance fighters as in WWII against the Germans....if so the Russians are in for a nasty time....Afghanistan will look like a cake walk in hindsight.....I guess!

The West's selective treatment of refugees can be seen in the warm welcome for Ukrainians compared to those from other places
The EU claims that it's open to all refugees - but those from Ukraine get a much warmer reception than others

True....but the Ukrainians are the only ones in the recent years who fit the official definition of refugee to a tee.

All these dark skinned people from far away don't stop in their neighbour countries but more often than not gather 10 to 20.000 Dollar, sell their houses and their belongings before going onto a trek over whole continents to reach a country of their chosing...they are migrants, not refugees!

Sadly the media rarely differentiates between those groups....but most Germans do, hence the welcoming open arms for Ukrainians!

Afghanistan will be look like a cake walk in hindsight..

Bad comparison, BB. The Taliban had nothing to lose and that' is why they won - just like Vietcong.
Ukrainians have plenty to lose. Just imagine Krakow bombed into a parking lot for bullsh*it. Even the hardcore U patriots know that Z-P=0.

Sadly the media rarely differentiates between those groups....

Because the media are globalist scum.

We will see, Rich....it's just to early to say!

Not to forget that the behaviour of the russian troops will also play an important factor...more Buchas and people will fight....I guess....why should the Ukrainians be so different to...say....Poles?

Some good news.

The russians are retreating/fleeing from positions in the Kherson region.

Hopefully with very heavy losses.

And the U.K. and US are stepping up deliveries of weaponry. They're still waiting for the stuff promised by some morally weaker countries whose governments don't seem to want russia to lose.

Heeeeey......Scholz just made a new promise....

Scholz promises Ukraine air defence system

deutschland.de/en/news/scholz-promises-ukraine-air-defence-system

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has promised to supply Ukraine with a modern air defence system to support it in its fight against the Russian aggressors. In addition, the Ukrainian armed forces will be provided with a modern tracking radar system capable of detecting artillery, Scholz told the Bundestag on Wednesday. He also announced that Germany would support the delivery of multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine announced by the USA "according to our technical possibilities"....

Respect the man....such promises are not easy to make.....

...According to Scholz, the air defence system is the Iris-T made by the manufacturer Diehl. It is the most modern air defence system that Germany has at its disposal. "With it, we are putting Ukraine in a position to protect an entire major city from Russian air attacks," Scholz said.....

I hope they deliver. The media are reporting that very little has actually got there and the new air defence system might not reach them for several months.

Is it true that he refused to say when questioned that he wants russia to lose?

*squeezes thumbs*

Like those helmets this are purely defensive weapon systems....he SHOULD have less problems with the delivery! Compared to panzers and rockets and what not....

Is it true that he refused to say when questioned that he wants russia to lose?

He is a nut....he probably wants to avoid to "humiliate" Putin (as Macron wants to avoid that too)....but that makes for some truly rethoric nonsense!

The reception temperature is related to how dark is the skin of the applicant.

Naturally. Such is the EU. That's why certain countries are basically refusing to take in Ukranians - not dark enough.

I wish Poland would've been smarter about this. Now a recent estimate states that nearly a quarter of the people in my home town of Wroclaw are Ukranian. There's waaaay too many of them and it's going to be a big problem in years to come. You already have Ukrainians accounting for 15-30% of the population of major Polish cities. And the vast majority isn't going back that's for sure.

Now it's gonna be like in the US.... press 1 for Polish, 2 for Ukranian

I guess the silver lining is that better Ukranians than other groups. At least we won't have to deal with the kind of problems the other migrants caused in the west - terrorism, bombings, skyrocketing rape, child grooming, etc. Their culture is at least still European and not totally foreign so at least they'll assimilate for the most part.

BS. If that's the case, invite all of them.

White refugees are more of a boon. Would be good if Poland could grow significantly as a result. I wonder if the refugees, if granted citizenship, could alter the political balance away from Civic Platform.

Russian inflation

Remember that the russian economy is right now a paper tiger, bolstered by emergency measures that are unsustainable.

White refugees are more of a boon.

It makes no difference Skin colour is neither her nor there.

alter the political balance away from Civic Platform

Or towards it. Ukraine has quite a spread of political viewpoints and most of the refugees are of course urban (even from the biggest cities and industrial conurbations) rather than rural. If you want conservatives with a religious outlook, try Africa.

Ukrainian soldiers "unboxing" :) Russian BMP - besides all kinds of military equipment they've found the unit's commander's journal and boxed Dremel machine, which was probably stolen either from a store or a private home in Ukraine:

youtu.be/UBUX0vB9RU8

And here the same Ukrainian soldier is debunking Russian propaganda of Russian state TV channel Первый канал (Channel 1 Russia) about that Russian commander/his unit - this "hero destroying nationalists and radicals" turned out to be a deserter who abandonned his BMP with all kinds of equipment :)) (the fragment of the Russian TV report included in the video):

@Paulina
This is not a Ukrainian soldier, but Yuri Butusov - Chief Editor of nationalist website censor.net.ua

Make your own conclusions.

He is an ethnic Russian that got hit by a piece of pavement on the head during the '13 Maidan riots (thrown by one of the rioters), and has since then had a characteristic mark on his forehead - not unlike Harry Potter. He has also had a characteristic mark on his frontal lobe as a result. His brain has never recovered. Let us mourn Butusov's brain together ladies and gentlemen.... 🙌

demotivational speakers in Poland.

If Polish people collectively decide to shoot themselves in the foot I can't stop them. I understand helping your neighbor, but there should've been a cap on how many people there were let in. There's at least 3-4 million, and that's on top of the several million that were already in Poland before the war. There should've been a cap of no more than 1% of the population and even that's being generous... yet we're letting in closer to 10% of the population. This would be a huge population growth in the USA, in Poland it's just insane when you have some 40 million people and your population skyrockets 10% within 3-4 months. And they're all going to the cities meaning it's going to stretch already thin resources, especially medical care which is already quite ****** in Poland, even further.

They're already making the cities overcrowded and it's only a matter of time where wages even in jobs that require degrees are undercut, housing market is going to get stretched thin thereby increasing prices, Polish people are going to literally die because now there's 10 Ukrainians that are in front of them at the hospital, and it's only a matter of time before they're going to start demanding political representation, It's not good. This isn't going to end well and everyone knows the vast majority are not going to leave. At best, they'll leave Poland for wealthier countries but even that's unlikely because although the EU is allowing them they still prefer Poland because of the language and cultural similarities plus every Ukrainian has at least some family or friends in Poland.

The only silver lining like I said is that at least it's Ukrainians and not someone else. At least they'll work and not live off handouts like the migrants that came to Europe around 2015. A German university stat shows that a majority of them are still unemployed even after being in the country 5+ years.

What is most valuable to a deserter fleeing the battlefield? Apart from his own ass, of course. That he will not abandon and will try to save at all costs?

For a Ukrainian deserter it is a passport, pink socks, a frayed rubber vagina, and a slightly worn copy of Mein Kampf...
