Polkraina is now an established fact. Forever.
It's going to be just like in the USA - press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish every time you call some business or government facility. Some cities are already 25%+ Ukranian including my home town Wroclaw. Every time I visited Poland there were more and more. 2 years ago and this last winter you literally couldn't walk down the street or in the mall or whatever without hearing Ukranian. And if you ordered a cab, uber, etc. 99% your driver is Ukrainian, get a coffee - Ukrainian barista, get a bite to eat maybe the waiter will still be Polish, but the busser and rest of the staff def Ukrainian, do a remodel - Polish foreman, all Ukrainian workers.... you get the point. I can only imagine what it looks like now that 5 million more came in. Proportionally, that'd be like if 40 50 million Mexicans just came into the USA within 3-4 months, Chicago, NYC, LA, etc all grow by 25%+ within 3-4 months, and even then it wouldn't be as bad as in Poland since USA is far larger.
It's the same thing as in the USA with Latinos but it's Poland with Ukrainians. America has some 90 million immigrants of which Latinos are the largest group. Difference is, USA is a big country and they're mainly in large cities and the southern states near the border. In Poland, it's every major city. And even in more rural areas people are hiring them for agricultural work since they'll work for a fraction of Poles.
Like with Mexico - you pay a Mexican dude $200 and hell be happy asf work 10 hours a day busting his ass. Well, in Poland you pay a Ukrainian 12, 15 zloty an hour and he's ecstatic thinking he just landed the best job of his life.
I'm not saying Americans and Poles would fill ALL those lower level jobs. Nonetheless, many undoubtedly would - students, young people with little experience, women as 2nd bread winners, whatever. But the Ukranians are all pricing them out of the market.
Soon it's going to be for more white collar professions. Why should a company hire a Polish programmer and pay him 10k, 12k or more zloty a month when they'll have a thousand Ukrainians that will do it for 5k.
