Back on topic edition 75.5

Did you know that because of the RuSSist aggression Ukrainian national soccer team plays its games in Poland? Ukrainians have won with Armenia 3:0 in the city of Łódź today. And they thanked Poland for our hospitality and support.

Thread of the day!

Sergej Sumlenny documents how the Putin dictatorship/Tsarship has been conditioning the Russian public to embrace fascism along with war against Ukraine and NATO for the last 12 years or so....

Enjoy the whole thing here (I will probably make frequent references to it and the appeal this kind of thing has for citizens of Putin's zhopa).

The fact that western countries either didn't know about this (or ignored it or thought it wasn't important) can only be regarded as a massive security failure.

They regularly collect about 5% in elections.

The Svoboda Party got about 2% in Ukrainian elections. Why then would anyone who publicly expresses anything that does not fit their narrative have very serious problems, ranging from "accidents" to arrests in bizarre criminal cases or actual exile to avoid such an arrest?

Also, the elections in the Baltic states show that the preliminary estimates made on MSM data do not coincide strongly with the official results of the actual elections. And I'll say nothing about the recent US presidential election, Rich can remind you better than I can, straight from the battlefield.

Also, there is a lot of people who would support this idea based on economical interests (ones who have documents enough for property restitution).

official results of the actual elections.

OK, so ignore the elections and let`s talk about the actual mood in Poland. The last time I talked about Lviv with another Pole was about 20 years ago when our school organised a trip to the city. Otherwise, the topic of Lviv and of retrieving the lands in the East is non-existent. Poles are not interested. Stop daydreaming. :):)

I can confirm this. Apart from certain lunatics on internet fora nobody is even talking about it. Non-issue.

The same story as war with Ukraine in Russian society, just in beginning of February. ;)

@Velund, if you lived in Poland, you'd know that pawian is right. And it's not just about wanting or not wanting Lviv. Poles wouldn't want to invade Ukraine, kill the people living over there and destroy their country just to get some city (which would be a pile of ruins filled with dead bodies anyway) or a piece of land (that would have to be rebuilt anyway). Unlike Russians, we don't want a war. Unlike Russians, majority of Poles are normal, sane, kind people. We don't hate Ukrainians. We wish them well. Why on Earth would we kill them and ruin their country? We have zero motivation to do that.

I can confirm this.

Me too.

Financial shenanigans..... in..... RUSSIA????? ...... WHAAAATTTTTT?????

twitter.com/finanzru/status/1535336092962017281

"The Central Bank was suspected of falsifying data on Russia's foreign exchange earnings
Billions of dollars of oil revenue have disappeared into nowhere, according to the IIF."

If you can't trust Russian financial institutions.... then who _can_ you trust?

pawian
11 Jun 2022  #4719

I can confirm this

We have zero motivation to do that.

Still, Russists are trying hard to find proofs for Polish interest in Western Ukraine which once was under Polish rule. Lukashenka already claims Belarus has to protect Ukraine from Western partition. He and Putler are looking for a pretext to involve the Belarus army in the war against Ukraine.

from certain lunatics on internet fora nobody is even talking about it.

There was one on here that used to go on about it. LwówEagle/LegalEagle and various other user names however he was barking mad and believed that Lech Wałęsa is still the lawful president and the subsequent ones are imposters.

Nobody wants it back. Wrocław was a good swap for it. Poland got the better deal.

He and Putler are looking for a pretext....

They are on a hiding to nothing. If an offer were made and in the virtually impossible situation of Poland accepting that offer, they would be out of NATO and the EU.

A rump Ukrainian state in the west is also pretty unlikely since Putler has failed to take Kyiv and is making poor progress elsewhere.

What is going to happen to the E.U. if Russia wins ?

You have asked everyone?

It would only make sense IF Ukrainie would be a part of Russia. Poland is not Russia. It would be a pain. We would have to resettle those people somewhere else and then invest a lot into that land.

That would give us a lot of fleck from other counrtries and generally Stalin have done a good job and even thought Lwów and area was without a doubt Polish land, it was different Poland and different people. There few alive that still remember life there and their children have only some sentiment toward the past, nothing else.

Poles are a nation but nation change, there was a country of orgin that was there from about 960 to 1831 - that ended.
There was a modern nation formed under partitions and in 1918 that new nation won wars and got an independent Poland. That nation was killed. There is no contunity, there same cultural issues but mainly the core of the Polish nation is still forming on a base of Soviet Poland.

That forming, evolving nation doesn't need Lwów, no for the price it would have to pay. Even if they would try to give it to Poland for free. You would have to pay Poland to take it.

While Ukrainie is an independent country - there is no way that anyone would want it.

Russians are different as you haven't formed as a nation yet. You are just a mass that has an empire or an empire that has it people/ants. If your empire would fall, you wouldn't last more than 20/40 years as you are now. You would fregment, split into new countries or you would at least form as nation with your own territory, borders and culture.

Right now you don't even know where are you borders - that is why you will always cause trouble.

The only territory that Poland would like to have would be Królewiec. 1, it is a part of Prussia that should belong to Poland as half of Prussia is just not whole.

2. There is no reason for that land to belong to some other country as this casue strategical security problem for Poland.

, just in beginning of February.

But Poland hasn't had 12 years of preparation though fascist propaganda like the Russkies have....(see # 13692)

Russians were gradually stripped of their humanity by Putin and now exist as violent, maniacs, despised by those with even the slightest shred of human feeling....

The only territory that Poland would like to have would be Królewiec. 1, it is a part of Prussia

To be honest I think either sharing it with Lithuania (or giving it to Litwa outright) might be the better option. Lithuania is used to dealing with an unwanted and unproductive Russian minority... Poland is more used to civilized Ukrainians....

Polish rule over eastern territories is the nationalists.

Who, where, when? Point me to some data to support your claim. So far it seems that you make up or dream up some wreid thoughts and then you share them here claiming that it is what some nationalist say, wants or claim?

there is another option!
Do you visist psychiatrist often, meet some people in the line to the doctor, you talk to them and they tell you some things and claim to be nationalists? Is that it?

You call yourself a teacher? What you can teach with such carefree as to facts attitude? How to walzt throught life like a baboon?

Solovev is nothing

I know! Russian and Putin as well as Russians, maybe very few are different.

The same story as war with Ukraine in Russian society,

That different, you are Russians, (raby) slaves of your government, 96% people would stupport everything that it does. In Poland you would have a hard time and imposse a lot of security foreces to try suppers people talk and agrue on this or that.

Here at last there is consesus as well as in help to Ukrainie. There same old balls but they are loons and 001% of the society.

It's this precedent, I think, which makes them wary of making definitive calls on the current conflict.

Not for huge military help from the US; they were dog meat, with the Japanese annexing Eastern Siberia.

Western brilliance on display... Quoting:

Ukraine needs reforms - EU
To succeed on the "European path," Kiev must address corruption and attract investors, the European Commission head said

Hey, EU, Ukraine is a model of democracy and doesn't need any reforms. Second, there is no "corruption". Corruption is purely a Russian phenomenon. Third, if Z wants "investors" Zs have to stop shooting, drop their guns, and surrender. Sorry - I meant "evacuate".

A new way to kill yourself: listen to Biden. Quoting:

For some countries, the decision of whether to align with the United States can have life-or-death consequences. Washington has warned drought-stricken African nations not to buy grain that Russia stole from Ukraine at a time when food prices are rising and possibly millions of people are starving.

Even if Russia delivers food for free, listen to Joe and refuse. It's Russian food so it must be evil.

attract investors

By increasing of Donbass shelling pace starting from Feb 16, Ukraine definitely attracted at least one major investor, with a lot of advanced technologies.

@Novichok

Still looks like sh!t, but life is definitely returning. There's a photo below of the famous opera theatre, where most of the rubble has now been cleared. Some kids, along with cats and dogs.

Thanks.
How many lived before and how many are in Mariupol now? Where do they live? Just curious how extensive is the damage.
What is the ultimate objective in Ukraine? Take over just the Eastern part or more?

More self fulfilling prophecy by Russia. Ask and you shall receive. As long as Putin is alive the world is at risk. His Peter The Great ideas and ambitions simply must be ended with his death.
