Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

AntV

there's no way Russia is winning this in the long run. Of course, you won't agree

I wonder what will constitute a win to the average Russian? What does the average Russian on the street hope comes from this war in both practical and abstract terms?

Uhh yea, lol...decreased imports means higher GDP -

Which is why those shopping centers are mostly empty.... because of the higher GDP!!!! It all makes sense now!!!!

Huge territorial gains or even eventual annexation of the entire Ukraine. And they won't stop at that - the Baltics and Poland are next on the menu. Fighting them is the only option. You can't appease a madman - the West tried that with Hitler, it didn't work.

@GefreiterKania

I don't mean Putin or the Russian government, but the everyday Russian on the street. Guys like Bobko and Velund, the normal Russian citizen.

Bobko and Velund,

Do you consider them to be normal r*ssian citizens?

Microeconomics and macroeconomics are two different things. I'm talking about the economy and GDP as a whole, not western retail stores that are no longer in malls in Russia. Yes, nike, ikea, starbucks, LV, victoria's secret, etc. they've all left. There's no shortage of food though, it's the western "consumerism" type import goods that are gone.

youtube.com/watch?v=1vQgx28vNsg

It's a temporary supply shock - all those stores and goods will be replaced in time, most likely by Russian alternative and imports from friendly countries like India, China, CIS, etc.

It's not much different than US stores during covid and random things that stores would run out of - toilet paper, ketchup, chicken, cleaning products, etc.

but the everyday Russian on the street

That's exactly what I meant, Anti. 75.5% of our dear Slavic brothers think Poland should be the next country to be "specially-operated". :-/ It's exactly what Maf said before - it's not a crazy leader acting against the will of his people, it's a crafty leader giving his people what they want.

Guys like Bobko and Velund, the normal Russian citizen.

Hmm... I wouldn't go as far as calling Bobko and Velund normal. ;)

They are Russians. I assume they represent the average normal population of Russia.

An Ivy League graduate endowed with Pushkin's literary talent and a mass crypto-currency digger, fluent in English and living in a large city. Hardly your average Russians.

Step by step, Poland is also headed in that direction.

Obviously you've never been to Poland. :)

That's exactly what I meant

Ah, man. I was hoping the average Russian wanted Russia to mind its own business.

Slavic brothers think Poland should be the next country to be "specially-operated

Screw that!

I wouldn't go as far as calling Bobko and Velund normal. ;)

Bobko is alright in my book. Now, that crno guy is straight out of KGB (or whatever its called today) propaganda 101.

Yip, a sound fellow. His mother must have smiled kindly at some Pole about 35 years ago. ;) Velund's not too bad either.

Now, that crno guy

... :-/

Which is why those shopping centers are mostly empty....

Visited one of METRO cash and carry shops yesterday (the one that near SVO). No empty shelves at all. Stacks of Pepsi Max bottles peacefully coexists with stacks of Cool Cola. Coca Cola is on sale, only in 0.5l bottles and 2 months to expiration date (looked for fun). Meat, dairy, fish, frozen foods, conservation - everything is as usual. Almost everything of most popular products is local manufacture, made to chain orders.

Maybe you meant closed Louis Vuitton boutiques in malls? Yes, there is a lot of western "nice to have" things that is temporarily unavailable. But Russians mostly good about "Must Have" things. You'll have a crash course to distinguish one from another in upcoming months.

@Dirk diggler
Markets? Did I mention markets? No. I talked about individual companies. Reading comprehension class maybe? Arguing with you, and your paranoia about Jews, and Spics, and Blacks? Why waste my time? You are an ignorant little POS.

Facts, yes Ukraine has lost 20% of its territory. Fact, Russia has had more than twice as many killed, and three times as many wounded. All this with Ukraine not having equal firepower.

Business? You think you can talk business? COGS? I own multiple companies in the US and Poland, every one of them producing profits through the pandemic and now through inflation. 14% increased costs is nothing when you have room to move in your price points without decreasing margins. Successful companies know this and plan for the unexpected. It is a blip in the big picture.

Now, when you grow up, and actually have real money, and not some play stock account where you compete on the S&P with friends, let me know when you are capable of intelligent conversation. Or better yet, let me know when you are capable of making wagers on macro or micro economics that you can actually pay off when you lose. You know, like Russia will be paying for many many years to come.

On a positive note the new Lada will be coming out. No airbags, no ABS, no nothing, all brought to you by Moscow, the capital that cares for comrades. Happy gulag MFers.

I doubt the average Russian spends their days pumping out orc propaganda in English on a Polish Internet forum during a time of war.

They're no more typical of the average Ivan in the street (or village) than hit n' run Dirk is living the American (or any other) dream.

Lev Sochkov shoot himslef or somebody helped him. Doesn't go well for Russia.

Well at least you admit it.

Admit what? You can't get one thing into your head. It is a war and you can't say anything about who is going to loose or who is going to win or how this will end. Only dimwits know it all.

We can agree for once. Average Russians are simple, kind, and generous people. Least of all they want war.

Least of all they want war.

So time to stop waging it in a foreign land.

Some nice news. A spook caught trying to flee.

Rubbish. more like 60 percent, because of the younger generations. Plus the power of societal brainwashing through mass media/propaganda techniques is underated. So it's not the average ruski joe's fault.

can someone explain, what it is with this Polands attack on Germany recently. its really heating up,the rhetoric from PIS
before,he said something about Germany building army against Poland ,or smthing like that.
twitter.com/AZmilitary1/status/1537114990620164096
"Germany did not answer for the crimes of the Second World War, and also did not receive adequate punishment for the acts of the First World War, and therefore has not changed"

this is really strong statement.

jon357
15 Jun 2022  #5095

Polands attack on Germany

It's nothing new. PiS like to have a bogeyman and use things like that as leverage in their spats with the EU.

Only a few years ago they sent them a bill for bicycles destroyed in ww2.

Germany aren't building an army against Poland however as a dog whistle to their core electorate, stoking fear works.

Not enough people are paying attention to the Russian Propaganda bot who's been following the trail of suspicious fires (and some deaths).... his idea is that it's related to an ongoing slow coup carried about by Surkov loyalists as the fires started shortly after his arrest in April...

At this point in the game, the more pressure PiS applies to Germany the better for Ukraine. (and the world.)

It ended with a tragedy though - on June 3 two civilians

What about the fact that first oficially cleaned recreation beach was open for public June 13? Until then, only strip of land along the shore was run with "Uran-9" robots to detonate all anti-personnel mines in the area (it was plenty there - some mine fields had PMN-2 mines less than meter one from another) and allow safe passage of sappers and vehicles to work on underwater portion of the beaches. There is months of work yet to demine everything along the sea in Mariupol area...

mine placed by Russian forces

So, numerous videos that shown ukrainian troops laying mines on beaches with loudly said "russians cannot pass" SUDDENLY forgotten, and now it is russians mined beaches (to prevent their own access to sea?)... Why people explodes on mines on Odessa beaches, where was no russian troops (yet)?
