Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Russian soldiers are shocked that there are asphalt roads in Ukrainian villages
We often forget how primitive a lot of russia is, especially outside the most populated regions.
I read that when the russians came west in 1945 through Poland and on to Berlin they were shocked and angry. They had been told that in the capitalist west, workers had far worse conditions than them and were begging to be liberated by the workers' state. They were appalled at the standard of living among even poor people being so much higher than anything they'd seen or imagined.
There must be elements of that now. Some of their conscripts have probably hardly ever been in a decent-sized city if at all and would find such an environment hard to deal with.
jon, I will buy you one if you promise not to do anything stupid - like going to Ukraine
Does that apply to any rebel held conflict zone with the sound of distant explosions?
Novichok

Does that apply
Hell, no. I only care about you. If you died, who the hell would I argue with?
Keep to the topic please

So true, a friend of mine, who is an engineer, spent a lot of time working in Africa.
He was once sent on a job in Belarus and came back shellshocked.
He told me that the poverty he saw in Belarus was worse than most of the many African countries he had worked in.
He worked for Alstom SA.

...and toilet paper in public restrooms?
They would probably be shocked that there are public restrooms lol
It's not really funny, though, it's pretty sad. I'm having a laugh because it was Russian propaganda that claimed that Ukraine is a very poor country of peasants and so Russian soldiers were surprised that there are brick houses in Ukrainian villages...
I read that when the russians came west in 1945 through Poland and on to Berlin they were shocked and angry.
Yes, water pouring out of walls! Magic! (faucets)
They had been told that in the capitalist west, workers had far worse conditions than them and were begging to be liberated
That reminds me... Did anyone post already that hilarious speech by Lukashenko in which he claimed that there is no salt and buckwheat in Poland (I had it for dinner yesterday, btw ;D) and Poles are coming to the Belarus border and asking Belarusians to let them in so they could get buckwheat? ;D
Here it is - Lukashenko lying in an Orthodox Church (he has no shame, of course):
fb.watch/cI5-vW3T51/
Btw, why did he choose buckwheat and salt of all things? Is there a surplus of those in Belarus or sth? ;D

Russia's made a late payment in dollars to avoid default
In the last few hours, the nation's made a number of overdue interest payments in dollars on its overseas bonds.
Moscow had previously vowed to pay only in roubles as long as its foreign currency reserves remained frozen, as part of international sanctions for invading Ukraine.
Russia's finance ministry says they've made interest payments totalling $US650 million.
Deputy US Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo says the payments have siphoned funds away from Russia's war effort.

have siphoned funds away from Russia's war effort.
...or needy children, orphans, and abused women centers.
At least they paid. In the US, they just print new money.
Another one hits the dust...From CNN:
(CNN)An American citizen, Willy Joseph Cancel, was killed fighting alongside Ukrainian forces in Ukraine, members of Cancel's family confirmed to CNN.
The 22-year-old was working with a private military contracting company when he was killed on Monday. The company had sent him to Ukraine, and he was being paid while he was fighting there, Cancel's mother, Rebecca Cabrera, told CNN.
Translation: a hired hitman got Cancelled. Boohoo.
This case, dear children, shows why it's very important to postpone acting like a moron until your frontal lobes are fully developed at the age of 25.
A comment from dailymail.com worth posting here:
TWITTER : If Kirby and Biden wanna stop "choking up" they need to start pushing for Peace instead of WW3. I'm looking at the same pictures Kirby & Biden are looking at, and if that's Ukraine winning the War then I'd hate to see the pictures were Ukraine is losing the War. Not our War, stop printing our debt to pay for it. Putin is a Monster, Zelinski is a Snake who has the Dirt on Biden

A handy guide to the pro russian disinformation actors in the media space. There are many more including jacobin and new left review to a lesser/more moderate extent.
"This link between soft Russian apologism and Uyghur genocide denial stems from the problem I identified earlier, an inability for the Western Left to understand that there are other imperialist actors, and that a Campist division of the world forces people into a complete misreading of how imperialism works and how various nation-states are implicated in the same system and techniques of global imperialism,"

Tamara Kravchuk was a Ukrainian nationalist who shot a video message that Russians need to be killed, cut and humiliated.
She was also famous for cutting out swastikas on the bodies of the dead Russian military with a hunting knife.
Look how she ended up.... Was it worth it?

She was a Ukrainian nationalist and now will be a Ukrainian Hero...If she is really dead, it may be a fake news. But it is a proper end for nazis like Serbian and russian creatures.

Russians should execute the idiot
On what basis? Bearing in mind, that according to you, Russians don't commit war crimes so therefore the basis would be within the remits of the Geneva Convention.
cannot accept
I think you have a strange idea of what you call the western mentality. I think you're confusing it with the mentality of a certain sector of American society, perhaps fans of the Gerry Springer Show or those who eagerly await Oprah Winfrey's latest 'what I'm really loving right now' announcements.
that 14-year-old cute girls can be terrorists
You really are very stupid. Why would any intelligent, informed person, imagine that teenage girls couldn't be terrorists when third world countries are filled with child soldiers, much younger than that? The youngest soldier to fight in the British Army in World War One was only 12, having lied about his age to enlist. There was an eight year old in the Serbian army. Children can be killers. Not only that, but there have been quite a few murders committed by 'cute kids' over the years. Stop making assumptions about people's stupidity. We're not all as dumb as you.

it's going far worse for russia than anyone expected
Latest from the British MoD:
Britain says Russia has been forced to merge and redeploy depleted and disparate units from failed advances in northeast Ukraine.
"Shortcomings in Russian tactical coordination remain. A lack of unit-level skills and inconsistent air support have left Russia unable to fully leverage its combat mass, despite localised improvements," the British military said in a post on Twitter.
"Russia hopes to rectify issues that have previously constrained its invasion by geographically concentrating combat power, shortening supply lines and simplifying command and control,"
Two noteworthy remarks there. The lack of unit-level skills. This is what I'm always saying about the Russians. The army is rubbish because they're poorly trained and an undisciplined rabble who have no respect for the NCOs. I believe that the great strength of the British Army is their NCOs who have outstanding leadership qualities and command huge respect from their men.
The other remark that strikes me is simplifying command and control. As the operation has so far seemed to be under the command of simpletons, I don't know how they can dumb it down any further! :))

Polish heavy weapons deliveries to Ukraine that have been made public
- 230+ T-72M(1) MBTs
- 40 BMP-1 IFVs
- 20+ 2S1 Goździk SPGs
- 20+ BM-21 Grad MRLs
- WB Electronics FlyEye reconnaissance UAVs
- 100 R-73 air-to-air missiles [For Su-27 and MiG-29]
The kamakaze drone is missing from this list but they only cost 1000 USD each so ukraine should be getting heaps of them.
After this war is over , Poland and Ukraine will be very close brothers for long time.

Russia meanwhile is running out of "precision" missiles which only had a 60 percent success rate. At 6 million bucks a throw then Rich's neighbors in their cold apartments are probably wondering if there is a better use for their taxes

The difference between Polish and Ukraine citizens vs. Russian citizens, when it is over, is that the Polish and Ukraine citizens will be able to walk down the street with their heads up while the Russian citizens will hold theirs down in shame for generations to come.
Putin made a huge miscalculation and he now knows it.
I am just wonder who will die of natural causes first, biden or Putin.

The news I read today said much the same thing. How they think a mass mobilisation (the median age their is 43 and they have the lowest life expectancy in Europe plus endemic alcoholism) would make a difference is certainly causing some speculation.

Russia goes full retard and bans blue and yellow.
Do you mean like the swastika that is banned in Germany and three years in the slammer for displaying one?
But I get it. "Democratic" bans - very good. Russia's bans - very, very bad.
Now, children, watch a lame explanation why coming up...

How they think
Since when has thinking things through been a Russian strength?

Since they learned how to play chess and be first in space. Also, since they detonated the biggest one ever - 50 megatons.

Quite.
russia seems to have completely different people in charge of military strategy and military tactics. They don't think things through at all.

They don't think things through at all.
How do you guys know all this? Do you have friends in the Putin inner circle?
Did Biden and the US presidents before him think things through when they decided to make a quick trip to Afghanistan that lasted 20 years and accomplished zilch? Or is that inability purely Russian? Was all that hardware left there a sign of planning genius?

How do you guys know all this?
Not know. Deduce from (very abundant) evidence. The invasion was poorly thought out with no plan B and is turning into a quagmire and the world is laughing at the Russian army's apparent incompetence and horrified at the brutality of too many Russian soldiers.
jon357
30 Apr 2022 #536
Do you have friends in the Putin inner circle?
The intelligence services certainly do.
quagmire
Literally a quagmire, with their 'attack' columns bogged down on all four sides unable to move and being picked off by NLAWs and Javelins.

the world is laughing at the Russian army's apparent incompetence
How competent was the US army in XXX? Please fill in a country of your choice. Did any of you say: the world is laughing at the US army's apparent incompetence in XXX because it took them 20 years, 5 trillion, thousands of dead people to gain less than zero?
Your Russia bias is approaching the level of mental sickness. Seek help or at least re-reference your military expertise to reality.
The intelligence services certainly do
You forgot the quotation marks around "intelligence". You need them after that WMDs bullsh*it that cost 5 trillion and hundreds of thousands of lives.
That "intelligence" or some better intelligence? ...hahahahahaha...

In all fairness, Walt, perhaps you would like to share with us your military expertise before you ask others about theirs.
Do you have any firsthand experience or only what you Google ?
What concerns me is Putin's rhetoric about using nukes, because it shows the desperation that Russia is feeling about their abject failure in being able to do what they set out to do in the first place.
I firmly believe that Putin will use them to try and save face (pride) in his last ditch effort.
I don't know about the US army's competence
I do, they are very competent, cms, the best in the world.
The problem in the last few wars the U.S. has been in, there are always "rules of engagement" that hinders them.
If the U.S. military were ever to be turned loose with no rules of engagement, the rath of God would be the only other thing more feared.

The Ukies are pretty handy though
Defenders who hide among civilians are always very effective against a regular army that is exposed and easy targets.
The body count would be different if Russia waged this war the way the US and the Brits did in Dresden, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. As far as I know, there were more than a few dead babies in each.
Today, a dead baby or a raped woman is the front news followed by that fake oh my God here on PF. It's especially fake when it comes from abortion-on-demand freaks and open borders woke morons.
