Most funny thing was when Poland suggested Kosovo to become base for warplanes that will be given to Ukraine.

ahaha hahahaha hhahahaah

Poland is wise.

"geographical security" really be a genuine concern in the age of nuclear weapons?

I believe it still is. Being nuclear armed is more a deterrence against nuclear attack, than conventional attack. The so-called Mutual Mass Destruction doctrine.

Besides, it's not only about invasion, but having perceived threats closer to your border. Think about how Russia had a conniption about the US installing anti-missile batteries in Polska and Czech. Purely defensive, yet it was a threat to Russian defense capabilities.

I understand the sense of insecurity they have, as I have the same understanding of Poland's (or all countries in the European plain) sense of insecurity. It's a geographical problem. A problem, however, that isn't justly solved by unjustly invading a neighbor.

The eastern uke civil war

i would wouldn't even call it a 'civil war'. More a land grab by Moscow using stooges.

Their only values are power, money and excessive pride.

Germany to fire up coal stations as Russia squeezes gas supply
edition.cnn.com/2022/06/19/energy/germany-russia-gas-supplies-winter-intl/index.html

This is great news!
The Greens are calling for a return to coal.

for a return to coal.

Temporarily, and in part caused by their dislike of nuclear energy and popular opinion against r*ssia.

@AntV

It would make sense - Russia wouldn't have to worry about having a piece of her territory surrounded by "enemies" and Poland would get her old fiefdom back. :)

I can't argue with your logic. And it's a charitable gesture. You're simply looking to alleviate Russian anxiety. Poles, the second most giving and caring people on God's green Earth. You have a heart of gold GK.

And, I bet Poles would show up in droves to help the Russians move and not even ask for a groszy in return.

The Velunds of the world are poorer for that lack of appreciation. If they only knew how richer their lives would be if they accepted the reality of Polish magnanimity.

So much so about the stories of how much the common people hate Russia and how much they are willing to die for the scabby narco-maniacs and the neo-nazis and the mangy NATO pact! 👍

I think it's more that the common Pole hates an invading Russia. I mean, they have some historical reasons for not being so keen on a westward moving Russian military.

The blockade are EU sanctions.

Yes, a clever move by the EU to block it now when RuSSists are pumping less and less gas for Germany. Hey, RuSSists, if you cut off gas, the EU will cut off ALL supplies to Kaliningrad. Are you ready to take it? hahaha

westward moving Russian

Another insane post from a Putin bum licker.....

the common Pole hates an invading Russia

The common anyone hates any invading force.
The question is, how come Germany learnt their lesson and Russia remained ignorant?

For the "Ruble Strong!" crowd....

While Russia maintains a Soviet style official exchange rate for European resource addicts.... Russian consulates have their own rates which is probably closer to reality.

If only Velunds of this world learnt to appreciate our inherent kind-heartedness.

Why not? We always respond in kind to any good deeds. We can even offer special service to those, who wish to free us of need to care about part of our territory. Momentary euthanasia will free you from ANY problems, just think about it - what can be better?

But I, personally, would have preferred a detailed experience exchange on how to make both our lands rich, prosperous, and free from the ghouls from the vilely glorified island and their cousins from across the Atlantic puddle.

GefreiterKania

how to make both our lands rich, prosperous, and free

We all know that: trade, cooperation in science and industry, student exchange, mutual cultural events etc. etc.

There is, however, one small prerequisite - peace.

They had to.

@Velund
One thing you forget about the cousins from across the Atlantic puddle is that a great majority of them have roots in Europe, many still have family in Europe. More and more of these cousins are leaving the US and returning to Europe. In fact, many are giving up US citizenship once they are able to receive their European citizenship. The problem with the Russian take on the US is that Russians do not recognize that connection. More and more North Americans are tracing their DNA and genetics to research their ancestry in order to not only understand their history better but in many cases to reconnect with it.

While I admit a fundamental flaw in the US is a failure to educate about Europe and the failure of families to pass down much of their own family history in a majority of cases. That said, there is still a very strong underlying sentiment that North Americans see Europe as a place where they would like to return to if not to live to at least visit.

Russia has this sentiment as well in every Russian community I have been to in North America. I understand it, yet Russians do not understand it from the US side. To think for a second that the US and Canada would ever walk away from Europe and its defense is a wasted second of time.

Russia could have an incredible country. It could IMO be the greatest country in the world if not for the system of government and the level of corruption. With all the natural resources and workforce, it really could be an amazing place. Until the mentality changes though Russia will be a third world country hopping to have a first world life. Not going to happen until changes come.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said during a tour of Lviv that he would catch all those involved in the aggressive invasion (reuters.com/legal/government/us-attorney-general-garland-visits-ukraine-tuesday-2022-06-21/) and hold them accountable. "The United States is sending an unmistakable message. There's nowhere to hide," Garland stated emphatically, shaking his fist menacingly.

At this time, standing next to him was General Prosecutor Irochka Venediktova, whom even her subordinates nicknamed "DBS" ("fool without tits"), and shaking her mane in approval. It never crossed her mind that a visiting prosecutor from another country could not threaten to prosecute someone unless it was committed within the borders of his state, or against its citizens, property, etc. 😏

Although what is there to be surprised about, because the US has not considered Ukraine to be a sovereign state for a long time, and now they are just stating it publicly. In this regard, I don't understand why the pangs and Nazis are offended when, following the US after 2014, Russia stopped considering Ukraine a sovereign state as well? Or is this from the "you don't understand, this is different" series?

Well, it's also laughable that Garland decided to threaten to hold the soldiers of the Russian army and the top Russian leadership accountable, forgetting that to do that he would first have to talk to the head of the Pentagon to see if he could get those very people he was bringing in. And that, of course, would be a problem. But all in all, go ahead, Garland, rock on. 🤓

@Velund
It would be funny if it were actually as you describe. However, the US is lending investigators to Ukraine in Ukraine's prosecution of Russian war criminals. Unfortunately for you Russian POS criminals, that would include the US best Nazi hunter who has caught a number of those criminals and assisted other country's in their prosecution. You might want to get the whole story before spouting off next time.

Needed and altruistic, probably. (From the looks of it, they would fare just fine).

Velund
22 Jun 2022  #5426

However, the US is lending investigators

US is lending 155 mm howitzers as well, that is currently used to shell residental blocks of Makeevka and Donetsk, where no and never been any military targets. So, we are not surprised. Hope this "incestigators" will be hanged together with already captured mercenaries, when time come...

Russian and Russian-backed separatist forces in the Donetsk region of Ukraine have suffered heavy casualties, according to UK intelligence officials.

They estimate the Donetsk militia alone has lost 55% of its original force.

Oh those poor Russians. Maybe you POS should have thought about that before killing thousands of Ukraine civilians. But as you Russians have said an done, accidents happen. Payback is a MF. Lets hope every Russian illegally in Ukraine or acting as occupiers is caught, tried and executed.

Ukrainian authorities have banned the country's main opposition party and seized all its assets, once again undermining the narrative that Zelensky is presiding over a beacon of democracy.

Velund

before killing thousands of Ukraine civilians.

Azov/Aidar and AFU killing Ukraine civilians (both with Russian and UA passports) since 2014 on Donbass. So, nothing new. But this time USA shares responsibility in civilian casualties, especially in areas that was previously unreachable for ukrainian artillery and never had any military installations. And US will pay for this dearly, as right time come. Lapdogs also will be remembered.

BTW, AFU use 40 minute "technique"... One or two shells to a residental block. And after 40 minutes additional salvo to exactly same place. To kill emergency workers, paramedics, firefighters and other people who helping civilians at that place.
