@GefreiterKania
Will they be with or without Ushanka? How much does the ticket cost you think?

pawian
27 Jun 2022  #5732

War is not a circus.

Exactly. It is the most horrible activity that people engage in.
But as jon said, the exhibits serve as a warning. Poles need to wake up and see the full picture - our European culture, life style, our families and homes and everything we value in life, including our own lives, too, are under serious threat from Mongol barbarians who desire to destroy Europe as we know it and build some EuroAsiatic Empire instead.

Polish and European answer has to be this: Fekk off, Mongols, and go back to Asia where you fekking belong.

What's next? Cages with captured Russian soldiers?

It is a good idea!

European culture, life style, our families and homes and everything we value in life, including our own lives, too, are under serious threat

This is something that everybody needs to understand. The situation is deadly serious.

Cages with captured Russian soldiers?

I'd run with that.

@GefreiterKania
No cages with Russian soldiers is not a bad idea really. Put them on display, observe, study, and wait for them to be convicted of war crimes. Sounds like what they are doing to the Ukraine soldiers with the exception of public viewing that is.

@johnny reb
And NATO is going to boost its readiness group to 300,000 strong. So, Russia better think twice. Just told more than 10,000 US troops to be on Lithuania border in Poland within a week in addition to the 40,000 down near the Ukraine border.

The mad dogs also known as russians attacked a shopping mall with about 1000 civilians inside in Poltava....

The pariah state of Russia has to be stopped, defeated and disbanded.

All we need now is for Velund to come and tell us the Shopping Centre attack was staged.

In the 40s the German public could genuinely have doubted some of the most extreme atrocities were true. The Russian public cannot claim that - if Rich and Velund continue to pay their taxes to Putin they know they are funding these war crimes

I know not everyone is convinced about the... authenticity of the FSB/Wind of change letters

I was very sceptical however yes, they have been spot on so far.

They read like something from a thriller novel, however so does pretty well everything in this horrible situation. Sadly they do have an air of credibility about them, whatever the story behind them.

Yesterday I was somewhere that had been shelled very heavily with r*ssian involvement and with aerial bombardment too. It looked like Mariupol. Whole buildings brought to ruin, concrete shells with rubble, burnt out and wrecked. Twisted steel. Impassable streets, piles of concrete, bits of destroyed furniture. Not a bit of glass except for broken bits anywhere.

A (very) few people were sitting outside what was once their homes, squatting in the ruins. They looked broken. It was surreal to see. A justification of lives and destruction with destruction dominating everything. A broken place, broken people. All I could compare it to were the way people looked in the film Threads after the bomb had dropped. Utter despondency and resignation.

Does that story sound exaggerated or made up?

It isn't. I was there yesterday and in tears afterwards. Certainly the worst thing I've
seen. Things that sound like fiction really do happen.

We should take nothing for granted, especially where r*ssia is concerned. What seems like fiction can all too easily become hellish fact.

@GefreiterKania
It's just humour, after hearing about Russian soldiers behaviour that's happening and lack of self discipline and patriotism. I don't mind joking, even if it's quite cruel.

I have hard time imagening performing worse barbarism then them after all. So joking about something like that, peanuts in comparison

jon357
27 Jun 2022  #5741

Sometimes you people scare me.

See what I saw yesterday and you would want to see the perpetrators punished. At the very least doing hard labour until every last bit of rubble is cleared, every last building rebuilt at least as well as it was before and until the psychological scars of the survivors have healed.

They fired the rockets, let them clear up the mess they.

Btw it should read juxtaposition not justification. Autocorrect.

It's a disaster for them.

It is not.

Personally - I don't understand why Putin is so obsessed with fiscal discipline, and our "creditworthiness" with the same Western investors that just did a heist on half of our central bank reserves. There should be no dealing with thieves. Pre-February 24th, I understand, but after - not really. The old system is dead. The West engineered this default (one of the very, very few cases in history where a party that wanted to pay was forced into defaulting), so why should we worry about them getting paid? They can collect their payments in rubles, or fcuk off. What worries me a lot more is our companies defaulting on their debt, which Putin doesn't seem to care as much about (though there is some help that's been announced recently). Instead we've been focused on playing some cat and mouse game of finding loopholes for the last 4 months, just to funnel more money to the same people which are sending weapons to kill us.

Just seems very one-sided to me. One side is going all-out with sanctions, and the other is working hard to find ways to pay their debts like good borrowers. Same story with oil and gas as with sovereign bonds. Finally, it looks like something is happening and Russia is turning off the taps without waiting for the Europeans to stock up for the winter. If Euros and Dollars are useless pieces of paper for us now, why should we sell our natural treasures for these scraps? One billion a day, or 2 billion a day - doesn't matter if you're not able to use it - while oil and gas you can use to fill up your car or run an actual steel plant. We should sell what we can to nice countries, and just stop production on anything else we're not able to sell and leave it for the grandkids. The price rise from the supply squeeze will probably compensate the loss in volume.

In this line - now there's some talk of creating a commodity-backed reserve currency between the BRICS members. This makes a lot more sense to me.

Bottom line - Russia has enough cash sitting around to pay off 10x of this debt (another gripe of mine with Putin, but this horde of cash has actually proved useful for once). These $40B are peanuts. The Ministry of Finance was borrowing these small amounts in the first place, so that there could at least be price discovery on Russian bonds, and some benchmark from which to estimate potential cost of borrowing for the government in case of budget deficits.

I will not comment this.
Just will ask one question. If you look ukrainian channels, any videos with results of hits have blurred terrain and buildings, because it is criminal offense there to publish results of missile strikes, with real prison sentences.

In videos I seen, you see it without any blurs. From left, from right, doggie pose, missionary pose... And nobody seems care about possible criminal prosecution.

What it really was?

The mad dogs also known as russians attacked a shopping mall with about 1000 civilians inside in Poltava....

They've also hit people queuing for water with rockets in Lysychansk - at least 8 people were killed and over 20 got wounded...

A (very) few people were sitting outside what was once their homes, squatting in the ruins. They looked broken.

:(

Russians know that noone will do the same to their country, so they can act with impunity... Bastards...

I will not comment this.

There should be no dealing with warmongering rogue states!

It is

It's yet another step toward the end of r*ssia as a functioning economy.

. There should be no dealing with thieves

So time for r*ssia to return some of the assets stolen from Ukraine.

should sell what we can to nice countries,

Nice countries don't deal with r*ssia.

Even Kazakhstan is turning against them.

He!

The Russians ran out of those weeks ago!
All they have left now is seventies crap that they can't aim properly and just kill innocent civilians.
The Russian army is crap and NATO is now going to increase its eastern defence force from 45,000 to 300,000......good job Putin!
Stupid arsehole.....

Russia as many predicted they would do, upped their bombing because of the G7 meetings. Now we have more civilians dead and injured. Even Germany now saying Russia can never go back to pre war relations. In history Putin will go down as making the biggest leadership mistake of all time. Even if Russia captured all of Ukraine, to lose everything from the west is simply stupid.

Any talk of alliances with other nations who still want to do business with the west will see those countries now face greater scrutiny. Imagine a country like India being cut off from certain western technology? Or visa's to the west? Imagine those aligned countries children who wanted to attend western universities now not being able to or those numbers being drastically cut? There are many ways to continue to apply pressure not only to Russia directly but to anyone doing business with them.

All of this for what? 20% of Ukraine? Even if Russia could keep it, you can not say that would be a victory. Absolute idiocy leading Russia. Happy gulag biatches!

mafketis
28 Jun 2022  #5753

Even if Russia captured all of Ukraine

Russia no longer wants to 'capture' Ukraine. Russia is now into depopulation (destroying all infrastructure to make the place uninhabitable) and killing/removing as much of the civilian population as possible.

this is flat out Turkey/Armenia/Greek or Nazi/Jew or Hutu/Tutsi territory....

And they've revived the Nazi lebensborn project by kidnapping children to Russify them...

Russia has declared war on the rest of the world and the sooner the rest of the world takes note the better.

Russia must be demilitarized and dismantled... there is no other road to lasting peace.

Tacitus
28 Jun 2022  #5754

All of this for what? 20% of Ukraine?

20% that are largely destroyed and heavily depopulated. Not that Ukraine was that wealthy to begin with.

Russia is currently using up its' substance for this war. Its' army stocks, all the money that Putin and his cronies did not steal but could habe gone into improving Russians life is used for this folly. Most of Russia's future potential had been wasted. Its' reputation is ruined. Its' brightest people leave the country, foreign investors will think thrice before they invest again, and it has lost its' most lucrative customers. Even the reputation of its' arm industry has taken a hit due to its' poor performance during the war.

Serbia`s president on question by journalist about development of conflict in Ukraine

Vučić: "We will have a worse world war than it was (WW2)" VIDEO / PHOTO

....world is becoming more and more complicated, especially having in mind that Russia's forces are on the rise and that they are getting stronger.

Many EU countries are in a direct war against Russia. They are sending howitzers, planes, ....... Ukraine,

If peace is not established around Donbass when it is over - we will have a worse world war than it was (WW2)

@Tacitus
Well said. Russia for all its promise over the last 100 years, has failed at every step to take advantage of the multiple opportunities it has had as a nation to really become a world leader. All the resources in the ground and in its people have been wasted. It is an embarrassment of riches and the country simply does not want to mature or change at all. If those resources were available to the US, you would see a completely different political scene in the US. But it seems like Russia, and Russian people really just don't GAF about each other.

The future? There is no future in Russia for western business or investment. We forget under all the complaining from Russia about sanctions, how Russia has taken over western companies and their property as well. Massive corporate losses in real estate will keep companies from returning to Russia. What happens when the government completely runs out of microchips for the military? They will come and take peoples TV's and computers, they will eat their own if they must. It is simply a sick nation with no cure.

GefreiterKania

Even Germany now saying Russia can never go back to pre war relations.

Are you surprised? They are constantly shelling residential areas, opening fire at civilians...

pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/06/27/7355043/

... conducting an all out war, with bombings, artillery barrages, executions of civilians - WW2-style.

There are only two options - they either have some brilliant plan that none of us understands and are just carrying it out as planned, or we are witnessing a galactic-level stupidity, barbarism and state-level suicide. Tertium non datur.

If it's the former, then we are probably dealing with a high level conspiracy, involving BRICS countries and God knows what else, aiming at creating a new "multi-polar" world (where "multipolar" is just a nice word for new Cold War); if it's the latter, well... in such case smart Russians like Bobko should pray that Putin is removed from power as soon as possible and Russia switches into emergency damage control mode.

And the conspiracy theory is not that implausible - think about it: if an average Chinese was consuming on a level of an average American, we would need three planets like Earth to upkeep such levels of consumption... and then we have India, Brazil and Russia as well. What we understand as "the West" is about 800 million people, BRICS has over 3 billion population. Maybe, just maybe, those countries decided to collectively challenge the world order in which America and allies control most of the world's wealth, even at a price of war, and Russian war in Ukraine is just a testing ground for a much larger conflict that awaits us?

PolAmKrakow
28 Jun 2022  #5758

Moody's, one of the most important credit agencies has ruled Russia has defaulted on their debt, and that other defaults may now take place. Russia is done on the international business scene, and they will never sell bonds to the west again. Now, China will dictate what ever terms it wants from Russia because only they will have a desire to buy Russian debt, and that is the eventual capture of Siberia. Russia sold Alaska, and they will sell Siberia next. Or, China will take all they can until they need no more and leave Russia to starve on its own and wait for a total collapse.

Crow
28 Jun 2022  #5759

Russia is done on the international business scene

Let us presume, hypothetically, you are right. Then, its the end of Russia. Economic war lost is equal to worse conventional war lost. So, Russia would facing this, unleash its nuclear potential. Its the nuclear war with all consequences of it. All would lose war.

That you want?

PolAmKrakow
28 Jun 2022  #5760

@Crow
Maybe Putin and all you Russian supporters should have thought about that first? Maybe, Putin should not have thought so highly of himself? Maybe leaving all the assets and currency in other countries was absolutely stupid, and beyond thinkable? Maybe once he saw NATO and the EU united he should have secured his little areas of land and then called it good?

All that clear and easy thinking would have stopped a lot of this. But Putin thinks he is smarter than everyone and stronger. He is now being proven wrong on all counts.
