Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Novichok
30 Jun 2022  #5941

Don't try to smuggle meaningless one-liners here. Even Hitler was not a "dictator".
In one against 100,000,000+ confrontation, one would lose in less than a minute. That's how long it took to execute the Romanian "dictator" and his wife.

As opposed to Biden who is green with envy at 25%, Russians love and support Putin.

As far as that "freedom", I asked so many times here what freedom Uks would lose if Russia took over the whole country?
You want to give it a shot? Feel free to use Crimea to compare.

Miloslaw
30 Jun 2022  #5942

what freedom Uks would lose if Russia took over the whole country?

Oh Rich, please grow up and pose that question to the citizens of Hong Kong....

Novichok
30 Jun 2022  #5943

No. I will stay with Crimea.
So, do you want to try Z-P?

Miloslaw
30 Jun 2022  #5944

No. I will stay with Crimea

Because Hong Kong makes you feel uncomfortable?

Novichok
30 Jun 2022  #5945

No, because HK is the stupidest and the lamest deflection ever. Russia would most likely run U the way it runs another part of it aka Crimea.

So, what's Z-C, freedom-wise? Or Z-R...Whichever is better for you...

Miloslaw
30 Jun 2022  #5946

So, what's

A very stupid question.
And meaningless and irrelevant.
Ukrainians are Ukrainian and not Russian.
They need to be allowed to rule their own lives.
It has nothing to do with Russia.

Bobko
1 Jul 2022  #5947

They need to be allowed to rule their own lives.

Yes. So do Basques, and Walloons, and Welsh, and Kurds, and until recently - Jews. Problem is that the world map will look like someone spilled some Skittles on the table. Do you really think that, giving everybody who is whatever they think they are, their own country, is a good recipe for peace and prosperity?

Novichok
1 Jul 2022  #5948

They need to be allowed to rule their own lives.

They can rule all they want until their plans include bringing the guests Russia does not like. Like NATO.
And ignoring past agreements...It's very annoying.

PolAmKrakow
1 Jul 2022  #5949

Speaking of ignoring past agreements....how about those agreements when the USSR broke up? You know those little things like security guarantees for the removal of nuclear weapons? Oh yeah, Russia just said F that so lets see what happens to the mighty Russia over the next few months. More of the same recently I suspect. More dead Orcs and hopefully a dead Putin soon.

Novichok

how about those agreements when the USSR broke up?

I agree. Sue 'em.

But here comes Nigeria to fill in the LNG needs of the EU now. How nice of them. More LNG storage facilities being built across the EU as we speak. All the threats of freezing out the EU probably not going to amount to much.

Russia now sending missiles to Odessa and killing more civilians. But of course we should have anticipated this. Like the spoiled child who does not get their way, they will act out. Maybe Ukraine should just start lobbing missiles into Crimea and see how that goes? Take out a few schools and hospitals?

Novichok
1 Jul 2022  #5952

Russia now sending missiles to Odessa and killing more civilians.

There is a simple way to stop them. Hands up and them missiles are so smart that they will explode in the air without hurting anyone.

That's what Poland did in 1939 - except for the missiles, of course.

PolAmKrakow
1 Jul 2022  #5953

@Novichok
I favor a payback system. Sending lots of missiles to Crimea sounds a lot more interesting. Lets see how Russians deal with their children being killed.

1 Jul 2022  #5954

That's what Poland did in 1939 - except for the missiles, of course.

Do you know which country in WWII proportionally took more casualties than any other country...Poland!
That's what happens when you don't defend yourselves. Of course this blows up your theory of ignore them and they'll just steal a little.

Five times as many Russians killed in Ukraine war than US soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined! LMFAO Fing incompetent army. This is supposed to protect Russia? They couldn't protect a cupcake factory.

@Novichok
Could you stop being inaccurate? Or are you doing it on purpose? It's like saying that U.K surrendered to Japan cause a military garrison surrendered...

Nazi Germans considered the Warsaw military garrison surrender of Warsaw as Poland's capitulation in their propaganda which was untrue. Polish leadership and all who could continues the fight and uncaptured military units continued the struggle underground or abroad.

So your argument is invalid

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, says Bandera did nothing wrong, and that to say he killed Poles and Jews is to spread "a Russian narrative".

polskatimes.pl/szokujace-slowa-ambasador-ukrainy-w-berlinie-andrij-melnyk-broni-stepana-bandery-bandera-nie-byl-masowym-morderca-zydow-i/ar/c1-16463841

Witold Waszczykowski called this a strange thank you for Poland's support throughout this war. Also, the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland connected today to discuss the issue. The UKR foreign minister said that the position of the ambassador does not reflect the position of the ministry (why have ambassadors then?).

In reaction, the Ukrainian foreign minister is getting pilloried on social media by Ukrainian nationalists.

All is well in the universe. Us Russians don't have to even lift our "malign hand" to engineer discord, since we're dealing with two of the biggest heavyweights in this sport.

Quote:
It's official. The United States has provided, or soon will provide guided artillery shells to the Ukrainian army.

The 155-millimeter-diameter Excalibur shells, which home in on GPS coordinates and can strike enemy vehicles in forests, revetments and alleyways, could help the Ukrainians to chip away at the Russian army's firepower advantage in Ukraine.

An unnamed U.S. Defense Department official confirmed the Excalibur provision in comments to reporters Monday. "So as you know, we're conducting training out of Ukraine and Germany and England," the official said.

"And so, we've got everything from maintenance courses that we're running, continuing to train on the employment of artillery systems, both HIMARS [rocket launchers] and howitzers. We're working on Excalibur employment, and that's our big stuff."

PolAmKrakow

@amiga500
That smell that is now filling the air is every Russian soldier $hitting themselves. There is no defense against this Excalibur munition in a war like this. Mobile, and deadly accurate. Combined with more MRLS from England and US, things are going to be very different for Russia by the end of July.

@Bobko
Ukrainian stance with regard to Bandera is that NKVD disguised itself as Banderists to pillage, murder and sow fear and destruction on Poles and blame it on Ukrainians.

So I am not surprised by such comments, but saddened.

Russians are going to (as allways) to put as much salt&suger in to this wound as possible to create division (to Polish politicians very good knowledge)

Bobko

NKVD disguised itself as Banderists to pillage, murder and sow fear and destruction on Poles and blame it on Ukrainians.

Brilliant explanation. Hundreds of kilometers deep behind enemy lines (outside the border of the USSR in fact), brave agents of the NKVD very farsightedly murdered thousands of innocent Poles, while making sure to yell "Slava Ukraini" as loudly as possible in authentic swine dialect (oink oink!). Then they bashed some Polish babies against trees, to really make the gullible Poles believe that it was the Ukrainians. Why? Because we already knew we were going to win the whole thing (rather than fighting for our life), so we decided to get to work on our future plans of divide and conquest early.

No. Only a Ukrainian paleo-Banderist that has never travelled outside his village in Lvov, would assume that this level of explanation will fly with anyone other than his boyfriends that also like to dress up in SS uniforms.

Usually Ukrainians, those that are not completely deluded - justify the massacres in Volyn and Galicia as a reaction to the oppressive tactics of Polonization and Catholicization employed by the Second Polish Republic up to Sept. 1939.

When you ask them if it seems proportional to burn a village of Polish men, women and children inside a barnhouse as a response to previous Polonization - they will either A) Accuse you of being a лях-lover, B) Say that Poles exterminated many more Ukrainians, but earlier - over the centuries.

Ruble exchange rate has crashed since its peak many weeks ago. It's now at 2015 levels . Sanctions are definitely working.

Wasn't dirk or bobko bragging about buying up Rubles around their peak? I hope they are ok.

Kashub1410

@Bobko
Not going to defend Banderists stance on conflict with Poland during - ww2. If that's what you are hoping for.

We can see at current events who acts closest to Banderists in ww2. Just that it's state sponsored now, blame CIA and any intelligence agency in the world for what Russians are doing in Ukraine (right now).

It will be futile just the same, just that Banderists are echo of the past, while Putin & Co are very much real, now and generally... Yuukh

More military aid for Ukraine incoming. Tanks, artillery, HIMARs, air defense systems, you name it.

From the UK:

PM announces further £1 billion in military support to Ukraine
Published 30 June 2022

The UK will provide another £1 billion of military support to Ukraine, the Prime Minister has announced at the NATO Leaders' Summit today (Thursday 30th June).

This uplift to funding will herald a new phase in the international community's support to Ukraine. It will go towards capabilities including sophisticated air defence systems, uncrewed aerial vehicles, innovative new electronic warfare equipment and thousands of pieces of vital kit for Ukrainian soldiers.

And the US:
Biden: U.S. to announce $800 million more weapons aid to Ukraine

MADRID, June 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday said Washington will announce $800 million of additional weapons aid to Ukraine in the coming days.

"We are going to support Ukraine as long as it takes," Biden said at a press conference on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Madrid.

And NATO / the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (50+ countries):
Biden Says NATO Meets Challenges of Today, Prepares to Counter Threats of Tomorrow
JUNE 30

"Before the war started, I told Putin that if he invaded Ukraine, NATO would not only get stronger but would get more united, and he would see democracies in the world stand up and oppose his aggression and defend the rules-based order," Biden said during a news conference. "And that's exactly what we're seeing today."

Biden spoke about Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III's Ukraine Defense Contact Group. The group is made up of more than 50 countries pledging to support Ukraine. The group has already pledged nearly 140,000 anti-tank systems, more than 600 tanks, nearly 500 artillery systems and more than 600,000 rounds of artillery ammunition, as well as advanced multiple launch rocket systems, anti-ship systems and air defense systems, the president said.

"The United States is leading the way," he said. "We provided Ukraine with nearly $7 billion in security assistance since I took office. In the next few days, we intend to announce more than $800 million more, including a new advanced Western air defense system for Ukraine, more artillery and ammunition, counter-battery radars and additional ammunition for the HIMARS [high mobility artillery rocket system] multiple launch rocket system we've already given Ukraine and more HIMARS coming from other countries as well."

The demilitarization of Ukraine is proceeding to plan. When, I wonder, will Russia realize it can't win this war? By the end of the year?

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, says Bandera did nothing wrong

:-/

Yeah... the year 2022 officially declared UPA year by Lwów authorities, football games taking place on a nice Roman Shukhevych Ternopil city stadium... riiiiight.

And we are taking in millions of their refugees, sending them 20% of our tanks, and it's been six years now since Poland has been spending billions upon billions on Ukrainian child support (500+) for their children in Poland as well as other social benefits, providing them with free education, health care and support funds for families that took refugees under their roofs etc. A nice "thank you" indeed".

It is all rather sad... if only Russia didn't have aggressive plans towards Poland, and didn't embark on their Peter-the-Great conquest, I would much rather see the events in Ukraine and Polish-Ukrainian relations develop along somewhat different lines. But I better not elaborate on this line of thought further, for fear of "anti-Mongol" brigade ganging up on me again.

One way or another something will have to be done with the Ukrainian cult of nazi UPA murderous animals, SS-Hałyczyna etc. This is unnacceptable. But first things first, Vlad the Conqueror must be put in his place, and the danger of Russian invasion of Poland minimalised, and then we will deal with the Hitler's spawn.

Wha'ts more important - arguing about the past or building a better future?
