Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

I'm sure there are a few statues of Cortez

Why not bring up Atilla or Ashurbanipal?

I don't think you realize how recent his crimes are, and how misguided your analogy is. What Bandera did happened YESTERDAY.

Bandera's famous work happened in the 1940s. He finally left to meet his maker at age 50, in 1959 - after taking a whiff of cyanide gas helpfully supplied by well wishers. A good portion of the people on this forum shared this Earth with Stepan Bandera.

Ukrainians already had good heroes, which they contested with us. Like Yaroslav the Wise, Vladimir the Great, etc - but they decided instead to smear themselves in sh!t just because it makes kacaps angry.

Murdered in exile. r*ssians do that.

Fortunately they are losing the war they started.

Murdered in exile.

Not sure that a term like "murdered" can be applied to a pathetic little creature like Bandera.

Liquidated. Erased. Wiped.

@mafketis

Stalin died of old age, while leader of a superpower.

Bandera got used by his German handlers in place of a toilet rag, and then spent the last 15 years of his life living like a rat in Munich, in constant fear for his life.

A traitor, an idiot, and a total disgrace to his race. In short - an archetypal Western Ukrainian.

Actually head of Brazil with trains (Galeev) or Nigeria with snow...

And it says nothing good about the russian people that they could not rid themselves of him... that they worshipped his fat, murdering @ss.... why are you all so passive about murderous thugs that lead you? Why can't someone who's not a murderous thug achieve the position of national leader?

Very sad... not a culture to admired or emulated (no wonder Ukrainians want as far away from it as they can get)

are you all so passive about murderous thugs that lead you?

I've seen the same several times in Africa and parts of the Arab world.

Basically without a tyrant it all goes to shīt with bodies in the street, starvation and constant violence.

r*ssia is like that, not really a society, not a civilization. They'd rather have a kleptocracy than pull together and work for any sort of common good. It's no coincidence that Ayn Rand was a r*ssian.

And they want to impose that on westward looking Ukraine.

Fortunately they are losing.

What Bandera did happened YESTERDAY.

Your divide and conquer/FUD attempted psyops would be more convincing if you showed the same moral outrage for Katyn and the women and children who died in the cattle cars on the way to siberia by their tens of thousands.

So was it yesterday or was it seventy years ago? 70 or 700 years does not mean much in the grand scheme of history. I suggest you read Steven Pinkerr; The better angels or enlightenment now. maybe some Yuval Noah Harari too.

@Bobko
Ukrainian is very different than Polish. I am not fluent in Polish but can communicate. Why should Poles expect them to learn some Polish or English? Because they are guests in Poland and receiving a lot of aid while here. It is only common courtesy to try to assimilate into your host environment as good as you can. Especially if you will be there for a long period of time. If i were to be in Russia more than a week I would try to learn more than just a few words. Simple respect is all it is.

In all my visits to Ukraine, no one expected me to learn the language because I was there only a few days. But, I always paid close attention to what was going on around me and mimicked actions and words if I knew their meaning. Making mistakes is fine, but not making an effort is simply ignorant.

Since English is the second most used language in Krakow, and easy for most to learn, a lot easier than Polish, a few words in English would have gone a long way. A few words in Polish would have gone further. Just pointing out that I understand some Poles frustrations. I have seen this in supermarkets, at the targ, and even a parking garage. It will become more frequent as this goes on.

Stalin died of old age, while leader of a superpower.

Stalin spent his last years in constant fear for his life. Not that it helped him much when his close associates decided it would be bettee if he died and left him lying in his own p* ss.

nglish is the second most used language in Krakow, and easy for most to learn, a lot easier than Polish

Pretty sure that Polish easier for those who already speak a Slavic language...

Where I am I haven't noticed many communication problems, fewer than 2019 to be honest. A probable refugee working at the Biedronka I use has rudimentary but understandable Polish (though she tends to end sentences with "da?"

Those with jobs are learning and I'm not sure what opportunities there are for non-professionals... most seem to have basic survival Polish and if the kids are going to school then they're getting Polish there. A few days ago in Biedronka I heard a couple of kids speaking Russian to each other but using Polish numbers (I remember 'osiemdziesiąt' , which maybe indicates they're taking math class in Polish (since people tend to count in the language they learn math in for the rest of their lives...)

marginal nationalist

Self proclaimed nationalist but more like non-Polish style like a pastiche of western or eastern style. Get your facts right do not copy post-communist drivel they are like Putin - everything they don't like are Nazis.

Kiev junta criminal actions.

You are a moron then, it can be said about any govermant in the world or you should stick to the definition of the word junta, defintion are there for a reason , not to be missused by punks to express their feelings.

Poles can understand them with some ease.

Poles born and rised in the USA like PolAm might have a hard time to understand Ukrainian for a good reason. On the other hand - why would you assume you would be understood in a foregin country while speaking your own language. I would say those Ukrainians act like Russians.

gregy741
2 Jul 2022  #6076

definition of the word junta,

"military or political group that rules a country after taking power by force"-junta
maybe you should learn punk

military or political group that rules a country after taking power by force

So the Ukrainian government isn't one.

They hold office after winning an election.

Amazing that anyone would think they were. Though perhaps not that amazing, given the bizarre cognitive dissonance among r*ssia supporting traitors.

gregy741
2 Jul 2022  #6078

They hold office after winning an election.

criminal junta from kiev ,took power by force after maydan.
junta abolished opposition parties, jailed their leaders, destroyed /banned opposition media and confiscated their assets.
junta has no democratic mandate. thats how juntas win "democratic" elections. typical junta style

"military or political group that rules a country after taking power by force"

Good, and the next step would be for you to take your head out off Putin ass, stop taking drugs and look at the real world where your definition fits Ukrainian govermant like a normal hat suits you. As you wear a tin foil hat, punk.

force after maydan.

Wow, accoring to whom? Putin again. Nobody else think like that. Get real you stupid punk! Get lost!
If I would like to listen to a drivel and Russian BS I would look at the source no need for some buttboy to butt in!

took power by force after maydan.

There have been two general elections since the popular uprising in 2014.

They are a legal and democratic government.

I'm surprised you're even suggesting they aren't.

Nobody else think like that. Get real you stupid punk! Get lost!

r*ssia supporters pretend to think like that. They don't actually believe their own rubbish though.

illegally removed president-check

not 'removed' the president ran... very different...

the rest is made up of RT talking points (remember RT = garbage and psyop factory).

What do you think about the 2020 presidential election in Belarus? Did that meet your high democratic standards?

There have been two general elections since the popular uprising in 2014.

Bandera worse than Hitler? Are you kidding me???

Are you hating Ukrainians more than Germans???? How can that be?

Oh, very easy! As long as we are talking about Western Ukrainians, it's probably fair to say we hate them more than any other people on the planet. Also, Russians do not hate Germans. In my grandmother's generation yes, but my father and myself - not a trace.

Reasons:

1) Leveraging a tiny minority of the population, their boys organized two coups in succession, in both cases ousting a pro-Russian president.

2) While they had their run of the place they made "hating Russians" the number one defining feature of what it meant to be Ukrainian. There is a special place in hell for people that spread poison between brothers.

3) When sh!t really hit the fan, these guys suddenly became nowhere to be found. Instead we are fighting our own people in the East, that did nothing wrong to us. While we fight with our kin, these assh0les are sitting in Lvov and organizing protests against being sent to the frontline in the East. In addition to being hateful swine, they revealed themselves to be cowards too.

4) Again - when their Day X finally arrived, and they finally had their chance to ride out into battle and kill themselves some good Russians - all these pieces of sh!t dipped onto the other side of the border. The same story as with their "legendary" SS-Galician division, that got evaporated in the first 40 minutes of contact with the Red Army. These guys have always been big fighters with their words, but in practice more successful at killing Polish women and children. The fight is being carried on by people that never supported the actions of the Western idiots. The irony is painful.

5) They hate everything Ukrainian, though they profess to love it more than others. They understand they are Greek Catholic aliens, grown in an Austrian lab, that are a foreign element in the body of Ukraine. That's why they hate everything about Ukraine the way it was. Because they did not feel at home in it.

6) Even in the midst of a war they treat their compatriots fleeing from the east like sh!t. They call them vatniks and sovoks just as they do with Russians.

7) They are duplicitous b!tches. Out of one side of their mouth they say that Poland is a bigger enemy than Russia, and out of the other side that "Poland must do more to support us". They think nobody excepts for Russians notices all their lies, but it is my sincere hope that one day they will be exposed for what they are.

mafketis
2 Jul 2022  #6090

hey made "hating Russians" the number one defining feature of what it meant to be Ukrainian.

What has Russia ever done for Ukraine that Ukrainians should like them?

two coups in succession,

Not a single coup in Ukraine, especially since Russia failed in taking Kyiv (that would have been a coup)

they say that Poland is a bigger enemy than Russia

I see their point. Poland is a more attractive culture (and language). Lithuanian anti-polonism was built on a similar premise - the Lithuanian elite had a long history of self-polonization while Russian culture was associated with Soviets and oppression and wasn't anything that had to be campaigned against because people were naturally repulsed by it.....
