Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

sn't confirmed whether it's Chechen scum or russian scum. They are equally as bad.

Bucha atrocities was proven to be chechens as the unit commander that was personally sanctioned by USA was chechen. All scum are equal but some are more equal than others?

All scum are equal

They're just the same. Not all Chechens are Kadyrovists, not all russians are Putinists, not all germans support their funding of genocide or arms sales to russia.

They will be judged however by the deeds that we see. And right now, the atrocities committed by russians in Ukraine are beyond excuse.

It is worth mentioning (thought not surprising) that Col.Omurbekov, the 'Butcher of Bucha' is a practising member of the Russian Orthodox Church and that the vast majority of his troops in Bucha were russian. There are only a million Chechens alive, of whom those of military age and sex are a far smaller number.

Meanwhile there is bad news and good. The good news is that Belgorod was attacked in the night by heavy artillery and Snake Island was attacked by Bayraktar drones. The bad news is that those Ukrainian prisoners exchanged by russia have been tortured by russians including amputated toes.

not all russians are Putinists,

Indeed , There are some insights into this in this atlantic article by Peter Pomerantsev. It's quite easy to influence society with propaganda and psyops, and there is a whole field of study dedicated to this.

"Putin's famed propaganda system has always been less about ginning up enthusiasm and more about spreading doubt and uncertainty, proliferating so many versions of "the truth" that people feel lost and turn to an authoritarian leader to guide them through the murkiness."

"research.. that I obtained showed that though nearly half of respondents in a nationally representative poll supported Putin's "special operation," the emotions they felt were shallow-hope and pride. By contrast, the fifth or so who opposed the war had much deeper feelings, citing shame, guilt, anger, and outrage. About a quarter said they had no strong opinions, or supported the war with reservations, but nevertheless said they felt sadness."

Lol. Chechens steal tractors from a tractor dealership in Ukraine, but the owners remotely disable them so they can't even turn them on.

cnn.com/2022/05/01/europe/russia-farm-vehicles-ukraine-disabled-melitopol-intl/index.html

The equipment ferried to Chechnya, which included combine harvesters -- can also be controlled remotely. "When the invaders drove the stolen harvesters to Chechnya, they realized that they could not even turn them on, because the harvesters were locked remotely," the contact said.

You see those no-hopers who work for troll farms smeared across the internet. As you know, they are usually fairly easy to spot, even when they show up here. There are also troll farms in Poland and ones based in Poland that, as you know, contract out work to losers overseas. Hopefully none are working for russian interests.

Meanwhile, the russian troops in the Battle of Donbas are getting as literally bogged down as they were in their failed attempt to take Kyiv and their troops are literally too terrified to advance. The russians seem to learn nothing from their mistakes.

Hopefully there will soon be news that upsets Putler.

uh oh looks like I was wrong about General Gerasimov. Note to self wait a day or two and official confirmation and fog of war etc etc "A senior US defense official reported that Chief of the Russian General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov was present at the headquarters in Izyum but had departed to Russia before the strike."

A very good article here about how russians are behaving on the ground in Ukraine and what motivates them.

"The soldiers, he said, were propelled not by national pride or expansionary zeal but by money"

" Russians," Zelensky explained to us, "are afraid to admit guilt. How do you work with that? They have to learn to accept the truth."

Don't laugh to hard as these tractors will be disassembled and used for parts.
Meanwhile Poland will be feeling food shortages big time by the end of this year because of the Russian thieves.

A very good article here about how russians are behaving on the ground in Ukraine and what motivates them.

Amiga500 already linked to it a few posts ago. And yes, that's a very good article.

I agree with Zelensky about that guilt part. I've noticed it too.

And this is scary - an army of vindictive drunks and junkies:

"One night, a drunk Russian sergeant major roamed Lukashivka, wearing a leather coat and a U.S.S.R. pin, threatening to kill local residents as revenge for the soldiers he'd lost. He was too drunk to make good on his threat, but the incident was not an isolated one: Younger soldiers were drinking and getting high, shouting at the Ukrainians that they all needed to be "punished." The Horbonoses rarely ventured beyond their orchard. They felt safer in their clear, with their five soldiers."

And yes, that's a very good article.

I missed that! The Atlantic is a very good magazine for analysis; they've never failed a fact check and have some seriously hard hitters writing for them.

I agree with Zelensky about that guilt part. I've noticed it too

Me too. There is a very nuanced situation in both russia and Ukraine. Directy I hear more from Ukrainians for obvious reasons. Many have relatives in russia as I indirectly do, and few are truly loyal to the russian state. Either they care little or are just connected by the cash nexus, cynicism or poor critical thinking. Or fear.

Meanwhile, more positive news about the part of the war near Kharkiv. The russians have been pushed back to within 5 miles of their own border.

By Chechen monkeys? Get real.

Putin's famed propaganda system

They TRY. I doubt they have succeeded with anyone with half a brain cell. No one is buying. The putinas remind me of hawkers at a night market screaming their wares and everyone just walking past without even giving them a look.

2 May 2022  #704

By Chechen monkeys?

These are human beings and God loves them exactly as much as he loves you. Actually, after your post, he loves you less.

When the Soviets came up to the Polish border, not even one Pole said: I see you have some unsavory types in your Red Army so stop where you are and forget Berlin.

Not even one...So the Soviets proceeded to lose hundreds of thousands and liberated Poland, including Auschwitz. To the best of my knowledge, no prisoner there said: Hell, not by these monkeys! I am staying. A-hole.

Polish stupidity has no bottom.

Korvinus
2 May 2022  #705

So the Soviets proceeded to lose hundreds of thousands and liberated Polan

Germany fu*cked Poland from 1939-1945. Russia fu*cked Poland much harder from 1945 to 1991. They then go on to claim that Poland should be grateful that Russia liberated them.

These are human beings and God loves them exactly as much as he loves yo

The veterinarian who treated the rescued goats from the Chechen camp still has nightmares.

Chechen monkeys

People (including world leaders) have said much the same about Poles over the years and we're wrong about both. It pays not to underestimate either nation.

I doubt they have succeeded with anyone with half a brain cell

They haven't. It's the general public for whom Ukraine is a faraway land and for whom russia is something to do with vodka and cosmonauts that are the problem. Most russians could barely find their own capital on a map and perhaps the Putinist troll propagandists perhaps assume the same, however their event less onslaught of casting doubt on news sources and promoting online conspiracists and sundry YouTubers does appeal to the less well-educated and those who lack critical thinking. That's one reason why successful democracies necessarily have elements of meritocracy.

A good example related to the current Ukraine war is the people who believe that online conspiracists or use the silly term 'MSM' are somehow revelatory voices speaking a hidden truth whereas more responsible sources must be lying because they're not as interesting as the youtubers.

Purin's information wars seem to be like his military strategy, more volume than quality. I only wish the democratic world spent as much effort on them.

They then go on to claim that Poland should be grateful that Russia liberated them.

To be fair (or not, since I'm not minded to cut russians any slack right now) they pull the same stunt on ordinary russians and other people in their evil empire, telling them that they should be grateful to be russian since that's some sort of pinnacle of whatever. The French can be much the same albeit with less bloodshed.

Purin's information wars seem to be like his military strategy, more volume than quality.

His information war is the best-kept secret in the US. I have yet to see any of this here. What I see every day is pro-Ukraine and anti-Russia American propaganda. Still waiting for U crimes and losses. To the American "reporters", those are only Russia's.

RT is so objective that you could wonder what that R stands for. Just reading it, you would not be able to detect that it's for Russia.

As opposed to the garbage that comes from the UK, for example. Sun refers to Putin as "Russian tyrant". Try to find anything like this at RT when referring to Z or B.

The Kremlin launched a secret military payload into orbit around the earth last Friday.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, a space 'combat crew' launched the unidentified payload.
Most likely it was a top secret radar military satellite system for use in the war in Ukraine.
Lets hope it wasn't remote nukes that will be orbiting us for when the time comes. :-(

Who entered Warsaw in 1945?

Red Army reached Warsaw during the Uprising, they were literally in sight range, on the other side of the Vistula river... In fact their advance was a major trigger for the Uprising.

Did they help against the Germans, though? No, they were waiting for the Germans to finish their dirty work...
Some "liberators".

jon357

No, they were waiting for the Germans to finish their dirty work...

And now the situation is sadly reversed, with russia doing the dirty work and germany watching, waiting and pretending to be "cautious".

Did you see an international arrest warrant for his arrest?

Do I need to see one to call a tyrant a tyrant, or are you just a contrarian.

There will be a warrant for his arrest. Only a matter of time before he is treated just like the Nazi's.

And now Germany is ready for a complete oil embargo on Russia. Let that sanction take effect and see how things go.

Another day, another Russian weapons factory on fire..

I suspect we'll see much more of this over the coming weeks. And the sinking of the two vessels at Snake Island was impressive. If Ukraine could take that back it would give immense strategic advantage.

A summary of today's orc losses:

Personnel - more than 23800 people (+300),
Armored combat vehicles - 2519 units (+48),
Automotive technology and fuel tanks - 1824 (+28),
Tanks - 1048 units (+22),
UAV operational and tactical level - 271 (+26),
Artillery systems - 459 (+8).

Russia told them they can come out any time.

No, they didn't. There were two separate specified dates and times during which Russia said they would hold fire in order to allow civilians to come out. The Ukrainian government refused as they, quite rightly didn't trust Russia who have a proven track record of telling outrageous lies. Zelensky said that a ceasefire declared unilaterally was not a ceasefire and that the evacuation had to be under the guardianship of the UN - and that's what's happening now.

Btw, if you think Russia - or rather Putin - agreed to the present evacuation out of some humane impulse, you really are very stupid indeed. He did it for a reason which I'm afraid is a very, very unpleasant one. I'll leave you to figure out what that reason is for yourself.

Russia has a long track record of 'allowing' civilian evacuation and then firing on them. No one with any sense would believe such an offer is real.
