Interesting fake news. How many of those weapons have Russians used against Ukraine? Zero. You are tied for dumbest person on PF.

Puts me in an Easter mood...

And as we're on a musical theme, here's a little glimpse into the future ;))

"So take your last look at sunshine and brook.
And send your regrets to the Tsar.
For by this I imply, you are going to die,
Count Ivan Skavinsky Skavar."

A Muscovite maiden her lone vigil keeps
'Neath the light of the pale polar star
And the name that she murmurs so oft as she weeps
Is Ivan Skavinsky Skavar.

Chinese journalists in the field in Mariupol. Western "free" journalists in a hotel room in Poland.

Yet another lie which has to be addressed.

Chinese journalist invited by the Russians to do a PR job. You can be sure all his 'report's are carefully stage-managed.

I don't think Russia is inviting any 'free' journalists to report from Mariupol. Why do you think that is? What do you think would happen if 'free' journalists rolled up with their cameras? Oh, hang on, I can tell you what would happen.

RIP Pierre Zakrzewski - Irish photojournalist, shot by Russians, 13 March 2022
RIP Brent Renaud - American photojournalist, shot by Russians 14 March 2022

At least 20 'free' journalists have been killed and dozens (including British, Danish, American and Swiss) have been wounded since the start of the war. Now show me the list of dead and wounded Chinese journalists in Ukraine.

SF Walgreens is under lock and key. There's practically nothing you can buy without having to call an associate to unlock something.
I'm in Seattle at the moment and it has degenerated beyond what I could have imagined.
Why are progressive American cities like this?

The only unlocked items are sunscreen creams... LOL

Poor Hamericans, they will soon steal more because the crisis has just begun.

business dealings of the Biden crime family

As opposed to the business dealings of the Putin crime family? None of this rubbish about America, whether true or not, has anything to do with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, nor does it explain or justify Russian war crimes.

And where's the list of dead and wounded Chinese journalists in Ukraine that I asked you for?

Western "free" journalists in a hotel room in Poland.

As Russian forces are pressing into the eastern city of Slovyansk,Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford said that the nearby town of Lyman was already under heavy attack.

"The shelling was too heavy," Stratford said as he tried to access the city.Families are sheltering in bunkers and a crater was seen in the center of the town, Stratford reported citing people fleeing Lyman.

The church left unscathed.

The truth is that Russian troops have damaged at least 29 churches, including seven Orthodox churches in the Luhansk region alone.

Nativity of Christ Cathedral in Sievierodonetsk has already been hit with Russian shells four times. Nevertheless, Easter services were held in its basement premises on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

St. Catherine's Church in Shchastia, which is a cultural monument, was partially destroyed. Russia's artillery strikes also hit St. Mitrophan's Church in Lysychansk and Matrona of Moscow Church in Rubizhne. St. Michael's Parish Church in Rubizhne was damaged, same as the newly-built St. George's Church in Rubizhne. Holy Trinity Church in Troitske was left with windows broken.

None of this rubbish about America, whether true or not, has anything to do with the Russian invasion of Ukraine

It's true the Biden family is corrupt and both father and son were up to their necks in dirty dealings (there were interests in Ukraine who thought it would be a good idea to buy them).

But that's not related to the Russian invasion.
There are threories that Biden was trying to goad Putin into invading (whereas he might have pulled back as he's done before) but that's all theory. Putin invaded and all the death and suffering are on him (and his supporters).

Russia has announced a ceasefire as of now, 12pm Polish time, to allow civilians to evacuate from Azovstal - let's just see what happens. Sadly, those poor people, even if they get out alive, will be going from one hell hole to another :(( Talk about Hobson's choice.

Putin invaded and all the death and suffering are on him

Exactly. Even if he was stupid and weak enough to be 'goaded' into taking such foolish action by another slippery customer, he could have pulled out again. He could hardly have lost more face than he's already done. Russians being what they are, they could easily have found some lame excuse to withdraw their troops.

Another day, another insane decision from the Russian government.... references to Ukraine and Kyiv are to be eliminated as much as possible from Russian textbooks.

There is too much money being made by the big wigs to stop this war.
It will not end anytime soon.
A lot of people are getting very rich off it.
Cyber attacks will be phase two of it by shutting down energy grids.
The only way to end it sooner than later is to have Putin's own government remove him and put him out to pasture.

A lot of people are getting very rich off it.

Well noticed.

The only way to end it sooner than later is to have Putin's own government remove him and put him out to pasture.

Why and how?

You said yourself, its operation of rich. Not only of Russia, that for sure.

Its the other thing that in reality ordinary Slavs and great majority of people of this planet on the long run also profit by getting Multi-Polar world.

But price..... we all would pay..... rich and not that rich, and those poor.....

So, relax.

More on the hypothetical ceasefire to allow for evacuations from Azovstal steelworks. Russia's ministry of defence said that the Ukrainian side should show "readiness" to start the humanitarian evacuations "by raising white flags" at the plant........... there obviously isn't going to be any ceasefire or evacuation of civilians under such terms.

I agree with that.
Nuclear weapons manufacturers in the U.S.A. see stock prices rise since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
I guess I should thank Putin personally for rattling his nuclear sword as I am invested in Raytheon, Northrup Gruman, and Lockheed Martin.
I call it, "Peace in Action."

Ivan Skavinsky Skavar.

Then this bold Mameluke drew his trusty skibouk
Singing, "Allah! Il Allah! Al-lah!"
And with murderous intent he ferociously went
For Ivan Skavinsky Skavar

They parried and thrust, they side-stepped and cussed
Of blood they spilled a great part
The philologist blokes, who seldom crack jokes
Say that hash was first made on the spot

Keep to the topic please

Don't you mean 'come out and die'?

In yet another act of liberation Russian shelling has killed five more civilians in the Donetsk region.

That's like saying Russia and Poland were once one country.

Bullsh*it. Poland was never part of the USSR. You know who told me that, genius? The US did by recognizing Poland and the USSR as separate countries with separate embassies - one in Warsaw and one in Moscow. After WW2, the US didn't have an embassy in Ukraine because Ukraine and Russia were one country just like Illinois and Indiana are one country. Not one damn bit different.

Don't you mean 'come out and die'?

No. That's what they are told down there. Besides, this is the time to take a chance...Come out and die - maybe or don't come out and die for sure.

The Russian scum must feel so powerful in destroying the russian speaking Ukrainians towns. :/

The repercussions for them will be very long term; they will never be forgiven and nor will those countries that have enabled them and/or held back on military aid.

Multi-Polar world.

That term generally means a russian/Chinese world, which will not happen.

"The shelling was too heavy,"

Given how quickly their materiel and troops are depleting without possibility of replacement, better they come on heavy now and waste more.

nuclear attack.

Have you seen the film Threads?

It was filmed more or less where I'm from and is possibly the bleakest film ever made. They were pessimistic about the aftermath (nobody had swept up or ironed a shirt 15 years later) however the blast scene itself (you can find it on youtube) should be compulsory viewing.

My feeling is that russia may try tactical bombing however they will be afraid to escalate. Most US weapons are in silos and vulnerable (dependent on missile defence systems of course) however the British ones are on subs and the russians have no.clue about where those subs can be.

Putler knows that if he tries strategic bombing rather than tactical bombing, or touches any NATO state, Moscow and Petersburg will be glass.

Really?

You caught me. How about:

Illinois and Indiana are parts of one country called the US, just as Ukraine and Russia used to be parts of one country called the USSR.

Better now?

Therefore, Russia vs Ukraine =/= Russia vs Poland.

Some good news. Re the war crimes in Bucha, the ICC chief prosecutor is joining an EU investigative team comprising Poland and Lithuania with Ukraine.

Novichok
25 Apr 2022  #178

what idiotic point are you trying to make?

That Ukraine and Russia were parts of one country and that Russia is trying to end the separation - just as the Union did with the South and North Vietnam with South Vietnam.

When Moscow let Ukraine be separate and God knows they had enough military muscle to prevent that, it was never in the plan that one day the US and the Western meddlers will organize a cute "revolution" and bring the American scum like the Bidens in to add to the corrupt pile of native crap already in place. If that was not enough, the snake's hissing got really loud...Not good. So it was now or we are fu*cked.

Russia decided it's now. Just as, one sunny day, the US decided to invade Iraq before Saddam had a chance to design, test, build, and deploy those ICBMs, loaded with hundreds of hydrogen bombs, and attack America because he was bored.

I hope this was helpful. Cookies are in the back of the room.

Re the war crimes in Bucha, the ICC chief prosecutor is joining an EU investigative team

When they are done, is Iraq the next stop?

And by that logic they can invade Poland too ? And Finland ?

Of course the Ukrainians don't want to live like Russians - sour ogorki and 4 day old bread might be luxuries to you but the rest of the world just want some normal food and a working washing machine plus a fair chance in life

the Union

Oh please - you can tell you're an American. What a comparison.

As for Vietnam ...........

Ukraine, (whatever its flaws as a former Soviet state and the legacy that carries) is an independent, sovereign European country and we are nearing the second quarter of the 21st century.

Finland and Sweden will begin NATO applications in May - well done Vlad.
