More German and French betrayal of Ukraine as they cave and agree to pay for Russian hydrocarbons in rubles
The dollar, or in this case ruble, is what ultimately matters in the long run, like it or not.
Germany especially is totally reliant on Russia's gas. They can't just switch to a new energy source overnight. They're donating weapons to Ukraine (defense industry and its investors must be happy) while helping Russia beat its own energy export revenue expectations (making the Russians happy).
And yesterday people were crying about how much Russia is suffering under sanctions when expert assessments clearly show otherwise, not to mention the huge capital inflows, total rebound and growth of the ruble, and sales of high priced gas and oil - including to the same countries that are sanctioning Russia and giving ukraine aid LOL!!!
Fact is, Russia is on track to make more money from energy sales in 2022 than 2021 selling to the EU, thanks to the EU/US/UK sanctions.
So the EU to stand in solidarity with Ukraine sends them weapons, sends them billions, talks tough (again, all bark, no bite) on Russia, yet not only ends up paying more for energy, Russia is making more off energy than even in 2021 before the sanctions...Talk about shooting yourself in the foot LOL.

And fools think that the EU is really bending over backwards to help Ukraine
The US, UK, and European Union all slapped Russia's energy sector with historic sanctions in hopes of curbing the country's invasion of Ukraine.
Despite those moves, Russia is selling more oil and gas today than it did before the war began. So much for "effective sanctions" and "ruining the Russian economy"
Yes pawian, the sanctions are truly petting, caressing even...
Unfortunately, the only people who suffer are the ones on low incomes who have to fill up their tanks. Otherwise this is totally comical. I mean seriously, they have all these "experts" in the EU - did they not even bother to consider such a scenario where by sanctioning Russia yet still buying off them they're forced to pay more for the same energy and are making Russia more money than before?
