Seems like a red line has been passed. Russian media is infuriated after the Crimean bridge explosion. The bridge was more than critical infrastructure, it was a symbol of the bond between Russia and Crimea. Proportionate retaliation is pretty much unavoidable, since Putin's reputation and stature could be damaged among the population, leading exactly to the political goals of Ukraine, meaning the emergence of maidan conditions within the Russian society. Ukraine could probably go dark the next few days, energy/power infrastructure and communications targeted. Kiev as well. Political targets or decision making centers seem more unlikely, although still legitimate since inciting violence, atrocities against civilians, terrorist attacks on non military targets has become the norm in Ukrainian leadership.

P.S. One has to commend Moscow's restraint so far. People must understand that in grand scheme of things, meaning the emergence of the multipolar world, Ukraine is but an episode. A broader war must be avoided at all costs, since China is still not ready to face the US militarily. And Washington, facing decline, knows that the more it waits to use its trump card, the military, the more their relative advantage fades. The most important thing for Russia is that Ukraine remains a regional conflict.

Too late, darling. The West has already engaged in supporting Ukraine. And the sanctions can last for decades, if neccessary. Ha! You didn`t answer my previous request - tell us about the condition of RuSSia as a state after 10 years of Western sanctions. hahahaha
