Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 4

Paulina
18 Nov 2022  #751

@Novichok, the Soviet Union didn't "dissolve" the Warsaw Pact. The Warsaw Pact fell apart because member states didn't want to be part of it. The Soviets removed their army from Germany and Poland because they were unwanted there. And NATO is no threat to RuSSia because RuSSia is the biggest nuclear power on this planet.

Russia knows now what results from going soft and stupid.

I think we can see now what are the results of RuSSia going violent and stupid. Not good for RuSSia or anyone else for that matter.

Russia went monumentally stupid in February and it's been only going downhill since then

Exactly.

@Novichok, the Soviet Union didn't "dissolve" the Warsaw Pact.

What you posted is so naive and full of Civics 101 crap that I will not even try to respond.

Russia went monumentally stupid in February and it's been only going downhill since then.

Let's talk about it when Russia is out of the "last square inch" of Ukraine. So far, it's Ukraine that is in ruins and on the US military welfare clinging to life. Cut that welfare off and it's over in a week.

I will not even try to respond.

Coz you are lousy at history. You are no match to Paulina`s knowledge of events in this part of Europe when communism collapsed.
So, let me let you, "expert", that the Warsaw Pact simply ceased to exist when satellite states had just left it. There was no formal dissolution by the USSR.

stupid in February and it's been only going downhill since then.

It is good coz the disintegration of RuSSia, the Prison of Nations, is near. I can`t wait. :):):)

There was no formal dissolution by the USSR.

There is no "formal dissolution" of many things, genius. Plus, I didn't say "formal". Go argue with yourself.
Dissolution - the closing down or dismissal of an assembly, partnership, or official body.

satellite states had just left it.

...and went where?

pawian
18 Nov 2022  #756

Plus, I didn't say "formal".

Darling, it doesn`t matter you didn`t. You suggested that Paulina wrongly claimed the WP wasn`t dissolved by the USSR. Funny you are withdrawing from it on the entire front.

...and went where?

Nowhere. They just declared they were no longer interested in the membership. The only country which remained was the USSR.

The only thing worse than starting a war of agression is starting and loosing one.

Putin is a corrupt dictator who has robbed his people of their future which is bad enough. But he also managed to bungle up the invasion of a smaller, poorer neighbour. You are debasing yourself on behalf of a looser.

Just a reminder. Only good Russian is a dead Russian and we should all strive to make this happen. It's the only way to provide security and safety for those bordering the mongrel empire.

The defeats at Kiev, Kharkiv and now Kherson show that they are not that hard either. So, soft and stupid describe today's Russia pretty well

I think that sums it up pretty well.
The only reason Rich(Novichuk)
Backs Russia is because he thinks the USA is just as evil.
Rich, I agree that there is not much in it, but Russia is more evil than The USA.

ABOUT THE MISSILES

The good news for you guys is, that Russia isn't just using their iron reserve for missiles - but might've even tapped to their nuclear reserve

twitter.com/NOELreports/status/1593499401716224000

Considering other signals and signs, I'd say that IMO after Kherson Russia realized that it's not only losing the war, it's losing hard and fast - hence increased openness for negotiations (which, TBF, was met with suspiciously good reception in the west) and increased terror campaign on civilian infrastructure - since it's the last area where they can any hope for success.

@Korvinus

I can't see the Ukrainians getting around a negotiating table any time soon.
Russians need to back right off to stand any chance of negotiations.

...and 58,000 men. See "Vietnam".
It's losing, not loosing.

hence increased openness for negotiations

They were ready to talk in April and the US said nyet. You see, my naive Pole, NATO needs an enemy and a mission. Always and forever to justify its existence - just as the US MIC needs to sell stuff. That's why the US - directly or through proxies - is in a constant state of war. 92% of the time since its creation, to be exact. Hence, no peace talks.

In this case, the US is very happy to have its useful idiots - Z, his patriots, and Polish morons aka volunteers.

In a month, 10 to 15 Russian divisions will enter Ukraine to say hi to Zhole and suggest that his victory speech should be revised.
In the meantime, the US CIA guys meet with their Russian counterparts to make sure the world is not going to blow up over some sh*ithole aka Ukraine.

Do you mean vice-president of Ukraine, or one of directors of Burisma holding?

PolAmKrakow
19 Nov 2022  #766

@Novichok
In a month? I see. And those will be the new recruits? Or they will send veteran troops with combat experience? And where will they get the winter gear they will need? How about some more weapons made in 1945? They will get more tanks from where exactly? More missiles from Iran? Maybe they will fly in on drones?

The Orc army will be freezing to death before the end of December. The Orc's are already running low on missiles and will not be able to keep up with the Ukraine army full of winter gear and motivation. The Ukraine army is already pushing the Orc's off their defensive positions on the other side of the river in Kherson. Once Ukraine crosses the rive they only need to retake 70 km to be within range of hitting targets in Crimea. 70 km is all that is keeping little Vlads Crimean dream alive right now. When Crimea becomes targeted it is all over. 70 km is all Ukraine needs and that could be possible before Christmas.

Putin is already looking for an off ramp, and he is running out of time. Biden still has roughly 2 months of control in the US, and he can get a lot done for Ukraine before he faces a Republican congress. Russia cannot win, its already lost.

PolAmKrakow
19 Nov 2022  #769

@Novichok
I was less than 30 days off on my prediction about Kherson falling. I predicted mid October, and Velund was taking note of it. I will predict now that around Sylwester, shortly before or after, Crimea will be heavily targeted. The new year, will mark a new phase, and it will be a crushing embarrassment for little boy Vlad.

@GefreiterKania
Free BJ's? Come on. Every good Russian girl knows she is worth at least 100 rubles. Its just 10 a day to by a knock off Prada bag at the market outside of Red Square. Moms have been teaching their daughters this in Moscow since the 50's. Now please pass the caviar and vodka that Russia cant even give away.

No point insulting Russian girls in general. They are, by and large, more sensible than their male counterparts. They are actually what's keeping Russia together (as it is in most Slavic nations, Poland included).

So many Ruskies getting ready for the meatgrinder in Ukraine? Or will they slip away and surrender at first opportunity?
Hope this is true because it would mean that Putin lost his mind. What can go wrong in sending unmotivated conscripts into the meatgrinder?

That video is hilarious - 10-15 divisions of these poor saps.

Next up maybe they will follow what Katar has done with its fake fans - round up a bunch of Indians and tell them they are stormtroopers too.

Still it's only as bad as something America did 60 years ago

I have not met one Russian, male or female that was reasonable or sensible. Men are liars and thieves, women gold digging liars for the most part. The entire culture is a toilet bowl of lies. It should not be held together, but torn apart and remade into something decent. But what do I know, my last trip to the middle east was filled with seeing nothing but Russian women who had sold themselves for some Prada and the ability to drive a nice car.

GefreiterKania

I have not met one Russian, male or female that was reasonable or sensible.

I met several of both sexes that were not only reasonable but also generous and kind-hearted. Looks like I was more lucky in contacts with Russians than you, PolAm.

who had sold themselves

You can't judge a nation by some prostitutes working abroad.

In general, as far as nations go, Russians are quite decent. Sure they have this silly fixation on "Russia stronk" (even more than Poles) and they are ruled by a bunch of corrupt bastards (there were no purges to remove post-communist, KGB criminals from public life - hence they grabbed power), but apart from that the country is lovely and quite poetic. If you love it once, you cannot that easily fall out of love with it - trust me, I tried. :)

I suspect it's not about luck. Most Russians with a new person go into magnifying mirror mode after a period of initial wariness. ;) And there everyone sees what they deserve there. ;)

I've had cordial relations with co-workers... and that's about it.

One former Russian colleague (same institution but now different department) put a Ukraine flag on his door to make his current position clear.

Plus +1
According to combat loss statistics shared by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Friday, Ukrainian forces killed approximately 350 Russian soldiers on Friday alone.
The total represents the slowest day of casualties this week.
Since Monday, Ukrainian soldiers have killed an estimated 2,600 enemy troops including a high of 710 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of Russian dead to 83,460 since the Russian invasion in February.

Russians are quite decent. Sure they have this silly fixation on "Russia stronk" (...) and they are ruled by a bunch of corrupt bastards

Sorry, Kania, but I think this rules itself out. In my opinion the ruling elites reflect what the society is like (or what the majority of society is like). This goes not only for RuSSia, but all the countries in the world, including Poland.

This war and everything around it has shown that majority of RuSSians aren't "quite decent" at all. RuSSians are ruled by a bunch of corrupt bastards because they are a bunch of corrupt bastards themselves. I had a glimpse of that thanks to my discussions with RuSSians, but what really opened by eyes were all the v-logs on YouTube of RuSSians who left either RuSSia or another part of the "Russkij Mir" and settled in Poland. They've shared observations about their society that made me understand some things. And since I've been raised in "Poland B" I probably understand it better than someone raised in "Poland A".

And that fixation about RuSSia being "stronk" isn't just some "silly" notion that makes them "cute". People die as we speak because of this "silly" notion of those "quite decent" people from a "lovely and quite poetic" country.

They are (...) more sensible than their male counterparts. They are actually what's keeping Russia together (as it is in most Slavic nations, Poland included).

I used to think that too. I also used to think (like majority of Poles probably) that RuSSians are OK and just their rulers suck. Now I understand that I was wrong.

And there everyone sees what they deserve there. ;)

I partly agree, but only partly. Because if you really meet a bastard, sooner or later it will turn out that you've met a bastard, no matter how kind you are yourself.

I disagree both with GefreiterKania and PolAmKrakow. They seem to be extremes on the opposite ends. I'm somewhere in between - I'm a realist. I think RuSSians - because of the way their society is and what kind of people they are - are responsible for who rules them and for this war. Those bright and decent enough among them realise that themselves as you can see based on the jokes that circulate in RuSSia these days. They don't laugh at Putin anymore, they laugh at themselves (here's an interesting interview with a Russian anthropologist about this):

wiadomosci.wp.pl/rosjanie-w-wisielczych-humorach-putin-calkowicie-zniknal-z-dowcipow-po-24-lutego-6835221568346816a

Of course, not all Russians are RuSSians. I've came across Russians who are amazing human beings. They were all anti-Putin, pro-democratic liberals though.

So, PolAmKrakow, you probably should change your social circles as far as Russians go, because there are defenitely Russians who are not only "reasonable or sensible", decent, honest, but who are also wonderful people. You just have to know where to look.
