Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 4

GefreiterKania
28 Nov 2022  #1201

then why don't they protest...

Well, I admit that I expected more protests from the general Russian population. Maybe the state is much more dangerous and oppressive there than we realise (or propaganda more efficient). Hard to tell.

they won't integrate and will assume they (still) own the place (...) it's a nasty culture

After all I read here I might be inclined to believe all that about Russians and their culture if it wasn't for the fact that I knew/know many of them and they are - by and large - smart, generous and kind-hearted people, one of whom I even used to call my friend. Inferior, violent and worthless culture doesn't produce people like that. I understand your indignation about the invasion, Maf, and I share it. But this hatred (or even just "looking down") thing is a trap.

@jon357

Certainly the border countries of Ukraine and the Baltic states would want to heighten their defensive stance and be on high alert to protect themselves. Not only completely reasonable, but to do otherwise would be derelict and the epitome of irresponsibility

But, that is not the same thing as the sudden crowning of Ukraine as the purveyor of moral rectitude and bastion of democratic values. It has been a thoroughly corrupt, dysfunctional, oligarchical kleptocracy that is rife with problems. An unjust invasion by a ruthless aggressor does not change that.

resurgence of r*SSia has huge economic and security implications, none of them good.

And, a cornered Putin doesn't present huge economic and security implications? If he's as insane, ruthless, and evil as purported, why would he not launch a couple nukes-especially if Russia is driven out of Crimea (I don't think westerners fully realize how Russia perceives the loss of Crimea as an existential threat.)

Europe and America will suffer, and is suffering, economically with an ostracized Russia who opens its resources to China, India, etc to the exclusion of the West.

However you slice it, there are bad security and economic implications.

the Baltic states

Are full members of NATO.

the sudden crowning of Ukraine as the purveyor of moral rectitude and bastion of democratic

What?????

corrupt, dysfunctional, oligarchical kleptocracy

Yes, that is a legacy of r*SSian domination there as it is to a lesser extent in Poland. The difference is that Poland have had longer to der*SSify.

The existence of Putler or any other r*SSian autocrat presents a clear and present danger to security; they invaded Poland and Ukraine twice in the twentieth century, and Ukraine twice since 2014. They have also invaded all three Baltic states, Georgia and Chechnya within living memory.

About nuclear or other non-conventional weapons (and he has used chemical weapons in the UK and in Syria) his generals are very well aware that a nuke or la large scale chemical/biological attack is the last thing that r*SSia will ever do.

r*SSia should not poke the western lion; the lesson they are receiving now and will continue to receive until they return their murderous hordes of orcs back within their own borders will hurt them more and more by the day.

Back in 1981, did you try to say that Poland shouldn't have stood up against their r*SSian puppet government in case bad things happened to them?

Navalny is certainly being kept alive for a reason.

There are several theories as to why.

@Novichok
And no one is amused by your useless analogies anymore. No one is amused by you just calling everyone names because they present real arguments against your emotional arguments and twisted beliefs. Putin, by his actions, is the closest thing to Hitler since Hitler. The Russian army symbol Z is nothing more than a simple version of the swastika. Your love, affection, of feelings toward Russians who may have helped you personally, if anyone believes it, have no impact on the facts of this war started by your little mentally incompetent Vlad.

Most people here are not Russophobes, they simply know evil when they see it. Putin and a Russia lead by Putin are evil and need to be put down.

While the arrival of the "not all russians...." crowd it should be noted that the body of a well-known writer Volodymyr Vakulenko was discovered in Izyum

Remember that the next time you want to defend russia's cultural heritage or talk about how scared russians are to protest the atrocities their army is committing on a daily basis...

twitter.com/olgatokariuk/status/1597286581286866944

Everywhere the russians leave.... torture chambers and mass graves are found.

and the great majority of russians..... don't care.

Paulina

@maf, that Ukrainian writer and his son were detained already around at the end of March by either RuSSian troops or by the representatives of the occupation authorities:

ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/3453985-russian-occupiers-detain-writer-volodymyr-vakulenko-and-his-son-in-izium.html

His and his son's further fate was unknown.
Now we know what his fate was - mass grave :(

I understand your indignation about the invasion

But this invasion is a result of what RuSSian society is like, what RuSSians are like. You can't separate it. I know that this is what Poles were usually doing (and some Western countries are still doing that) - separating RuSSian people from their rulers, but I think that's a mistake. RuSSian rulers are the product of their society.

It's not even about feeling hate towards RuSSians, but about realising what the reality is - what they're like, what are the differences between us, differences in mentality, because it's important to know what we're dealing with, what is the reality on the ground and not our fantasies - so we could make informed decisions.

But this hatred (or even just "looking down") thing is a trap.

Hatred towards perpetrators if evil, cruel deeds and those who support them is a natural and normal human reaction, imho. What's important is not to be blinded by this hate and keep your humanity and good judgement.

Also, in my opinion thinking that this is just Putin's war and it's just Putin's fault and RuSSian society has nothing to do with it is a trap too. It's a delusion and all delusions are dangerous, because they can lead to bad judgement of the situation and in result - bad decisions.

RuSSian rulers are the product of their society.

Exactly. And most RuSSians support the war. Yes, there are individuals who don`t but there are too few of them to say the RuSSian society is civilised.

Inferior, violent and worthless culture doesn't produce people like that.

Even most evil and corrupt societies are able to produce decent people, so the fact you met a few good Russians doesn`t mean anything. :):)

But this hatred (or even just "looking down") thing is a trap.

This isn`t hatred. It is only showing RuSSians that their imperial obsessions are unaccaptable in the 21st century and they either have to change and leave Asia where they currently belong. Choose Europe or Asia, simple. So, as long as they prefer to remain Asiatic, they will be called Mongols, RuSSists or orcs, whatever, diminished and held in contempt. That is quite fair, I think.

mafketis
28 Nov 2022  #1209

And most RuSSians support the war.

Vlad Vexler names three parts of russian society

from memory (numbers might be a bit off)

liberals 15-20 per cent, against the war and have no public voice

hardliners (20 or so percent) think putain is too soft and want more civilian deaths

the blob - 60-65 per cent that tries not to think about anything and passively believe whatever the government tells them to... this is what the russian government wants, passive apathetic people who repeat whatever they're told to....

very sick society

The young people are already morally ready to participat

You do realise most of them will be dead by spring next year?? It is amaSSing you are ready to sacrifice their lives for that crazy RuSSist imperialism which is going bankrupt on our own eyes. I bet you would talk differently if one of your sons was eligible for the draft.

Velund
28 Nov 2022  #1211

You do realise most of them will be dead by spring next year??

They (even the best physically, motivated, and trainable ones) have little chance of getting into the active troops before the summer. The bulk of those previously drafted with real combat experience are still at training ranges and regaining skills.

Well, if Polish teachers have forgotten Horace, "Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori" ..... It makes you wonder what else they have forgotten...

pawian
28 Nov 2022  #1212

They have little chance of getting into the active troops before the summer.

You are lying. A lot of men drafted recently have already been sent to the front and they are dying by hundreds each week.

"Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori"

In RuSSist case it isn`t patria but Putin. They are dying a senseless death coz RuSSia won`t win this war and you know it very well.

Velund
28 Nov 2022  #1213

They are the intelligent ones.

Ouch, yes, yes... Use this brainforce to lower heating bills... ;)

BTW: You told there is no Poles in UA? t.me/intelslava/41986

You are lying.

One guy I know in person still in Kovrov (near Vladimir) training ground, just preparing to move to Donbass. Told that last 2 months was "horrible" when called me asking to do something personal for him here, in Moscow.

jon357
28 Nov 2022  #1214

You do realise most of them will be dead by spring next year?

And each time they mobilise a new tranche of conscripts, people will ask what happened to the last lot.

A demographic disaster for a country with a declining and ageing population. 84,000 orcs dead is it now?

Horace, "Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori"

The orcs freezing to death in trenches would do well to read the Wilfred Owen poem of that name. And far more weapons are coming to send them back to hell.

Paulina
29 Nov 2022  #1215

BTW: You told there is no Poles in UA?

Who told you that?

t.me/intelslava/41986

I think this is fake. You can't tell the nationality of these men. The sound doesn't seem to be original, but added later to the video, because all you can hear is a man's voice and music and you can't hear the environment around them - you can't hear the sound of the fire, especially the crackling sound of the fire when they're throwing the book into it, and you should. You can't also tell by just watching the video whether they're Polish or what is their nationality exactly, because we can't see the man's lips when he's talking. There are also no markings, patches or tape on their clothes that would indicate who they are.

So I call - bullsh1t :)))

Velund
29 Nov 2022  #1216

read the Wilfred Owen poem

While "warriors of (black) light" who shelling Donetsk residental blocks from NATO-supplied 155 mm aritllery reads something else, we will do the same as well. But thank you for the offer.

jon357
29 Nov 2022  #1217

we will do the same as well.

Don't worry. You're losing badly.

A three day 'special operation' that's turned into a year long war (and the pain for you is yet to come). And a stinking pile of almost 90,000 orcs that have been sent back to hell.

I wonder if it'll be on live TV when Putler, Lavroll and P1sskov are hanged with piano wire?

Velund
29 Nov 2022  #1218

A three day 'special operation'

Can you show me that "three day" promises from any of officials, not from reporters and unknown "military experts"?

jon357
29 Nov 2022  #1219

Can you show me t

Boo hoo hoo.

officials

Which 'officials'? The orc ones are as we know compulsive liars.

There are some lovely pics today of how the orcs are having to weld manhole covers to tanks in a vain attempt to protect them. It doesn't work.

And now General Winter is here, some of them are freezing to death in their trenches. Remember, if your tactic is just to throw waves of men into a meatgrinder, soon, your 'single use soldiers' gets exhausted...

GefreiterKania
29 Nov 2022  #1220

Mongols, RuSSists or orcs, whatever, diminished and held in contempt.

That's dehumanising. Exactly what the nazis did, calling Jews the disease spreading lice or calling Poles pigs. You might as well add "untermenschen" to your list of slurs.

That is quite fair

It is far from fair, it's dangerous and irresponsible.

will do the same as well

Why not do something wiser and stop this idiotic war? Look at your conscripts from Rostov...

Rostov

... they should be spending time with their grandchildren, enjoying their retirement in a nice dacha, not being sent to a meatgrinder.

Just end this bloody nonsense and try to save what there is still to save. This war, you already lost.

PolAmKrakow

@Velund
Your repeated positions are laughable. The arrogance in the tone of your writing is really humorous. Russia has won nothing and will win nothing. It really is quite simple. All the while Ukraine keeps gaining ground, the trained Orc's arriving at the front after two months of refresher classes are being used as dummies to find Ukraine positions and they are all dying. That is nothing close to resembling intelligent tactics. Russian military is the laughingstock of the world now. No one fears Russia in a conventional war. The opposite is true now. A weakened Russia now is just what the western world wanted, and Russia gets weaker by the day.

Sitting in Moscow must be nice. Why not volunteer to go to Ukraine? Why wait for your number to be called? Such a great patriot would have volunteered. Why did hundreds of thousands of your comrades run from mobilization? Why has almost all of the truly educated and intelligent left Russia? The answers are all simple.

The brain trust in the Kremlin thought they could take Kiev in three days and be greeted with warm welcomes by its citizens. They thought that 150K men would be enough to storm through a huge country and easily overpower a small resistance. All this thinking based on what happened in Crimea in 2014. Completely ignoring all the training Ukraine had been doing for the last eight years. This ignorance and the thinking rising from it will likely prove to be the end of Russia as we have known it. Putin is the one who will take Russia down, and he is doing it with such efficiency that Yeltsin could not even imagine. Another Russian hero for all the wrong reasons. Happy gulag mother fvckers!

And Ukraine is not.

What?????

Zelensky pontificates what the West should do to fight the great Russian threat to western democracy and the media, and many westerners lap it up.

in 1981, ...you....say....Poland shouldn't stood up against their r*Asian puppet government in case bad things happened to them?

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not nearly on par with Soviet ambitions to spread the cancer of communism throughout the world. Two completely different scenarios that are not analogous. We had a dog in the fight against communism, as it was a direct threat to us.

Makes me wonder about the requirements for being conscripted in Russia these days - over 60 years old and diabetes? Can recent Ukrainian victories be classified as elder abuse?

GefreiterKania
29 Nov 2022  #1224

I don't know, maybe Putin is just trying to relieve the strained pension system? It's really hard to explain all those grandpas being conscripted.

mafketis
29 Nov 2022  #1225

utin is just trying to relieve the strained pension system?

IIRC they robbed the pension system to pay for taking over Crimea. It was clearly explained to the public which enthusiastically agreed... until people realized, a few years later, that they'd have to work longer and/or get much smaller pensions than they had counted on...

pawian
29 Nov 2022  #1226

Two completely different scenarios that are not analogous.

That`s what pro RuSSist useful idiots say. Don`t be like one. Of course it is the same RuSSian imperialism which only adopts different ideologies but the general idea is the same - attack, conquer, control and annex as many neighbouring countries as possible. To infinity and beyond. Unitl everything is RuSSian.

it's dangerous and irresponsible.

No, darling, exposing RuSSian imperialism isn`t dangerous, it is the first step to the defense against it.
Stop comparing Jews to RuSSists coz you are making even a more amaSSing fool of yourself now. Jews were murdered during WW2 while RuSSists are murdering Ukrainians right now.

They look like Dad's Army...

Are you worried they are going to lose against Ukrainians???

I have not used "plant food" yet, but I like that one. lol

Howitzer repair facilities being built in Slovakia and Poland to speed repairs up. Nicely done. This should keep the guns in better shape through the winter. Russia will not be able to keep up with the artillery of Ukraine. Reports now saying Russia probably can only keep this level of bombing up for a few more weeks and will need a much better plan moving into the new year.

Trying to pound Ukraine into submission is not working. 75% of all power is already restored. With a new aid package coming from NATO, its expected a lot of that aid will go toward ammunition and infrastructure repair materials. Russia will knock it down and Ukraine will put it back up. Eventually Russia will run out of weapons and Ukraine will just keep building and moving forward. Nothing but negative news for the Orc's.

I wonder how funny it would be if your grandchildren got drafted into a war say with China and China used a laser beam to turn them into crispy french fries for the dogs on the street to eat.

We could all sit back here and laugh our heads off, RIGHT ?
These Russian kids are someone's kids and everybody is somebody.
For you to sit on your bar stool being so insensitive to death in this war, as an armchair General, is getting very tiring here.

Unfortunately you have never served in combat to actually see and smell death or you would stfu on the subject.
Did ya get it that time Candy Ass ?

LOL candy ass? You know nothing about what I have or have not done. Smell of death? You're the type of guy who has never been in a fight for his life. Another tough guy calling people names. More than once I have said Russian boys are needlessly dying. I don't care if I am coming across as insensitive.

Hard subjects are not for soft people. Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Don't want me to make those comments then Russian people need to change the way they operate. It is cultural and systemic. The aggressive war and fear mongering has been done by Russia since Putin took control.

Insensitive? How insensitive is it to kill children, rape women and rob a country blind. Fvck the Orc's and anyone who cares how they feel. If parents wanted their little Orc's to live then they should have told them they would be better off in prison. Every one of those families had a choice. I have no mercy or sympathy for any of them.
