Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 4

Joker
26 Jan 2023  #2851

we are oh so scared that Russia is planning to invade Europe

It would never happen if NATO were to step in instead of being big pussies and begging the USA for money and weapons all the time. Let the Euros fight their own battles!

We already fought in their World Wars, enough is enough!

No freeloading Eurp country is even going to pay us back.

The UK paid the USA for military aid given in WW2.
In fact it is not that long ago that they finished paying!

The UK paid the USA for military aid given in WW2.

It figures England would be the only honorable country.

I really don't consider the UK as being a part of Europe, but rather its own entity. You would be better off without them as Brexit proved that.

Gonna repost this here (had mistakenly posted it in random and it doesn't look like it's gonna be moved, plus new link:

Anyone wonder why some Danish rando needed to burn a koran in Stockholm in front of the Turkish embassy? given the tensions between the two countries over Sweden joining NATO?

what weird timing..... well.....

wonder no more.... can you say 'russian psy op'? I knew you could.....

twitter.com/JayinKyiv/status/1618528374955339777

when it comes to things like truth and honesty and integrity.... russia is a completely failure, a miserable inferior country

when it comes to deception, lies, theft and brutality..... they are number one....

new: The fee for the "protest" was apparently paid by one Chang Fri(c)k who has worked with RT in the past....

Yep, that old Russian missile technology sure making a difference now that Ukraine has more air defense systems.

The day may come when you, Russia hating morons, will wish Russia won that war and life in Ukraine came back to normal as it did in Crimea.

BTW, your posts and verbiage would be different if the US said "fu*ck it" and just went home. Bravery from behind is not a virtue.

or Bucha.... or Mariupol......

There's every indication that the mass-killing of Ukrainians was always part of the plan.... like the holodomor before it russians want to kill all Ukrainians and/or turn them into russians....

genocidal freaks from an insane and dysfunctional culture with nothing remotely positive for anyone (including for russians ironically enough)

The day may come when you (...) will wish Russia won that war

Well, that is probably quite accurate. I bet some people in Poland will have such attitude towards this war in the future because Ukrainian victory will change the geopolitical position of Poland. How? Well, for once Poland won't be the largest/strongest country separating Russia from the old EU. Biden's administration have already stated that huge financial resources will be allocated to rebuilding Ukraine - nothing short of a new Marshall Plan - so victorious Ukraine will get every chance to become an economic success (even more so than Poland). Ukraine will most likely be accepted into the EU, which again will shift a lot of resources towards them. Besides, one of the strongest land armies in Europe is in the process of being formed in Ukraine and they have already proved that they can stop Russia if need be, so that again shifts a lot of strategic importance from Poland to Ukraine.

There are many indicators that point to the possibility of victorious Ukraine becoming stronger economically, militarily and politically than Poland, and this can illicit different reactions from Poles:

- those of us who are magnanimous at heart, like yours truly, won't really care and will wish the new, rich and powerful Ukraine all the best in all her endeavours;

- it is quite likely, however, that there will be others who might look at Ukraine with a mixture of resentment and envy, wishing that Russia had won the war.

Human nature, being what it is, makes Novi's prediction rather correct. Oh, well...

But general Abrams whom those tanks were named after doesn't look cool in photos

Post your photo so we can judge how 'cool' you look. Simple

Ukraine shoots down 47 of 55 missiles the Orcs launched at civilian infrastructure.

I thought Russia was running out of missiles and that their supply was very low on them ?
Yet week after week they keep raining down on Ukraine.
Was that more propaganda ?
And now with this new tank deal Russian missiles have really been stepped up on incoming.
What gives ?

Not really. It's going to be hard to be envious of a country that went through so much and will always have to have RuSSia as a neighbour. Maybe some small, pathological minority will be capable of such envy... Strong Ukraine is good for Poland, especially considering what friendly relations we now have.

Post your photo so we can judge how 'cool' you look.

Sorry, but no tanks has been named after me, so how I look is irrelevant to this topic :)))

Aaaah, Paulina... naive, kind-hearted Paulina - you underestimate the power of envy.

Maybe some small, pathological minority will be capable of such envy

Minority, yes, but probably not that small.

Sorry, but no tanks has been named after me

Who knows, maybe the next generation of anti-mine flails will be named "Paulina"...

@Novichok
My hate for Russia was instilled in me in the Cold War and it will never change. Win or loss in Ukraine doesn't matter in that regard. If Russia comes here, I will pluck them off one by one like I was in a tree stand. Since you have never been to Crimea, and I have, you just continue to talk out of your a$$. Crimea is not fully Russian, and those that are Crimean or Ukrainian, hate the Russians. There is tension there every day, but you would know that if you had ever been.

@johnny reb
When they are repurposing missiles that are designed to be land to sea, or air to sea, they are running out of missiles. Thats just a fact.

I know, that is my point, we have been hearing this for six months now yet they keep coming by the hundreds.

ussia hating morons

Never thought much about russia but began disliking it in 2014.... and that has morphed into full-fledged hate some time after February 24, 2022 and the morally indefensible invasion of Ukraine....

Worst country in the world at present... total moral sh[thole and its supporters happily swim in the sh\t and convince themselves it's a tropical beach....

Beautiful. Though it must be said that recent reports put any tank deliveries from Spain in doubt, at least within the next few months.

Tacitus

@Bratwurst Boy

Btw. have you heard? Apparantly the Russian Chief propagandist has today said that the Russians should apologize to the people of the GDR for allowing them to be "devoured" by the "facist West Germany".

Bratwurst Boy
26 Jan 2023  #2868

....Spain in doubt, at least within the next few months.

.....also the Abrams will need awhile.....our Leopards till up to three months.....but it's with the sanctions, starting slow but never ending and that's the trick in the end!

...that the Russians should apologize

...heh:) No need! I'm glad WE didn't fall back into the old times....I wish it hadn't happened to the Russians either.

johnny reb

At least six to eight months if not longer is what I am hearing.
By then the Russian offensive will be in high gear.

Bratwurst Boy
26 Jan 2023  #2870

.....thing is they WILL come....and then always more stuff will come, always new and top notch....at a point when the russian army will have less and less stuff and lose more daily it can't replace....so, no matter how far they NOW come it can't end well for them....ask a German!

GefreiterKania
26 Jan 2023  #2871

.thing is they WILL come...

Unless they come too late. If Russia manages to mobilise and arm even half of the troops that they plan to mobilise, Ukraine can have serious problems stopping them without modern heavy weapons. At the moment it's a race - what will be faster: Russian mobilisation and offensive or western weapons deliveries? Time will tell.

PolAmKrakow
26 Jan 2023  #2872

Canada just committed to sending 4 Leopards in the coming weeks that are battle ready. They are also sending training staff. If more countries send battle ready tanks, Ukraine will be well equipped before the end of March. The key here is who is sending tanks that are ready. The more of those the better.

Bratwurst Boy
26 Jan 2023  #2873

Unless they come too late

I guess that would only be the case once Ukraine surrenders and gives up, raising the white flag, ending with a victory parade on the Red Square in Moscow....can you imagine that?

GefreiterKania
26 Jan 2023  #2874

can you imagine that?

I can imagine a whole lot of things. Whether I want to imagine them or not is an entirely different matter altogether. :-/

Tacitus
26 Jan 2023  #2875

I think it is useful for the Ukrainians to know that they will receive a constant flow of weapons and tanks.

We will probably witness a large Russian and Ukrainian offensive early this year, for that the Leopards will hopefully arrive in time. But the war likely wont be over after that, and the Russians must know that any destroyed Leopard/Challenger will be replaced by Abrams later on.

johnny reb
26 Jan 2023  #2876

Those tanks are no silver bullet for Ukraine.
Watch and see.
Meanwhile Sweden discovers huge deposits of rare metals, a potential step to ending Europes dependency on China.
Maybe this is why the West wants Sweden to join NATO so desperately before Russia gets their hands on them.

Paulina
26 Jan 2023  #2877

Yes, exactly...

Maybe this is why the West wants Sweden to join NATO so desperately before Russia gets their hands on them.

First and foremost it's Sweden that wants to join NATO and those deposits of rare metals were found only this year. We would welcome Sweden with open arms (which was made clear last year already) even without those deposits.

PolAmKrakow
26 Jan 2023  #2878

@johnny reb
The only silver bullet is the one that will enter and exit little Vlads head. No one is saying tanks are s silver bullet. Tanks, planes and long-range missiles should have already been delivered. You cannot fight a bully slowly; you just need to beat his a$$.

Tacitus
26 Jan 2023  #2879

When have large modern wars ever been won by one weapon system?

MBT are but one factor that will hopefully allow Ukraine to achieve victory. No one seriously claims otherwise.

Paulina
26 Jan 2023  #2880

even without those deposits.

But, yeah, it would be better if RuSSia didn't get their hands on those deposits... So, in case someone wondered - "Why on Earth RuSSia would invade Sweden?"... Well, now it has a reason...
