except that you don't know where, when, who

Yes I do. Because I'm not as pig ignorant of the region as you are....

Are you mentally challenged or is it just your tremendous age that makes write such stupid things?

Western press: Ukraine on the attack. Russia retreats in panic.

You really have to stop reading the tabloids. Here's another 'western' source for you.
"Ukraine reinforces as Wagner group to leave Bakhmut" - sounds a lot more like your Russian one doesn't it? Read the full text here, if your attention span is long enough.

The one I read this a.m. said that the Russian occupiers lost 660 soldiers, 18 artillery systems and 6 tanks in the war in Ukraine in just one day.

Are you mentally challenged

Are you a slithering snake? That referendum in 1991 was about independence from the USSR!!! Only a complete moron would not vote to make Ukraine free. That vote should have been 100% for and 0% against, idiot.

The 2014 referendum was in reaction to that Soros-CIA-NATO "revolution" that replaced a Russia-friendly guy with Western stooges. Duh!

Quoting:

At the June 2021 Brussels summit, NATO leaders reiterated the decision taken at the 2008 Bucharest summit that Ukraine would eventually become a NATO member with the MAP as an integral part of the process, and Ukraine's right to determine its future and foreign policy without outside interference.

Well, Russia didn't like NATO and Ukraine in one sentence just as the US wouldn't like "Warsaw Pact" and Mexico. They, the Russians, were not very happy at the prospect of their naval base in Crimea becoming NATO's favorite hangout, either, just as the US didn't appreciate Soviet mil toys in Cuba. Duh!

Don't insult me with that old line about sovereign states and their rights. Nobody sane gives a fu*ck about those when the country's very existence is on the line.

If you are too stupid to grasp that concept, try to visit the Yugoslav embassy in Warsaw.

Soros-CIA-NATO "revolution"

yeah, that didn't exist....

Only a complete moron

would think it did....

ussia didn't like NATO

2 bad!

Too bad for the dead Ukrainians and their country that looks like Warsaw in 1945.

Did you visit the Yugoslav embassy yet or are you busy packing to help Uks in their struggles?

ONLY??very sad

I am sad too that only so few Western and Polish volunteers are dead meat now. Before you jump...Volunteers are the ultimate morons who risk their life without the upside. Every time one of them dies the average IQ goes up somewhere and the likelihood of dying with these idiots goes down. A win-win...

Good to see Muscovy is cancelling its normal goose stepping parades because the supposed second army in the world doesn't have enough tanks and 4 limbed soldiers left to make a decent parade.

Maybe the citizens can reflect quietly instead, not just on their own honorable dead, but maybe to ask questions about their own role in starting the war, together with their Nazi German allies in 1939. Ribbentrop was treated to a 24 course banquet in Moscow that compares nicely with how murderer Putin is brown-nosing Xi.

russian government backed propaganda singer "Shaman" releases song about how russians are "invincible"

Ukrainians immediately use that song in videos showing russians getting killed by Ukrainian soldiers.

highlight here is a head shot at about .49....

"Warsaw Pact" and Mexico.

This is really one of the silliest "arguments" supporting Russia's unprovoked war of agression against Ukraine I've ever read.

The idea that Mexcico, a flawed but functioning democracy would have voluntarily joined the organization whose main purpose it was to keep Soviets colonies in line goes against any kind of common sense (which is why you may bring it up). And then you assume that the USA would have invaded in this absurd scenario, which btw. would have seen the USA condemned in the same way Russia is now, so it is not even suitable as an excuse.

June 2021 Brussels summit,

And then later when Putin made it clear that he would use this as a pretext for war Western leaders went to Moscow and told him that NATO membership for Ukraine was not on the table anymore. If the war were about NATO, then Putin would have taken this as a mayor diplomatic win (which it was) and called it off.

But since this war is about Russia wanting turn Ukraine into a colony again, this naturally did not happen.

Pact" and Mexico

If you are too stupid to grasp that concept, try to visit the Yugoslav embassy in Warsaw.

Check out member states of the Warsaw Pact. See any Yugoslavia there? Exactly. There were many more sides than two, which you would know if you actually bothered to do some reading about the conflict before debating it online.

When NATO has an active war on its border it creates a security threat. Not to mention all those war crimes. So yes, intervention to stop the killing made sense. And Yugoslavia was dead anyway, nobody except the Serbs wanted the federal state to continue.

There was a common effort under the United Nations banner. 38 countries participated in UNPROFOR, NATO mostly provided air support. 8 countries participated in operation Deliberate Force. US only took the lead during the Kosovo crisis, but it was much later, after the main Balkan wars.

Indeed when Yugoslavia decided not to join the Warsaw Pact, the Muscovites responded in the only way they know - tried a military coup, and when that failed tried to poison Tito.

It is this level of criminal thuggery that the Ukrainians want to put behind them when they join the free world.

a flawed but functioning democracy

Only a super ignorant super bootlicker can call a narco-state like Mexico a "functioning democracy".
I promise to never read your posts again. You don't meet my minimum common sense specs.

Tacitus

@Novichok

my minimum common sense specs.

Which are apparantly as well developed as your reading comprehension. I specifically wrote "flawed" due to its organized crime problems, yet it is still a democracy with democratic elections and leadership changes.

That you seem to take issue with that classification despite trying to tell us that the "referenda" under Russian occupation were democratic is revealing in itself.

It is this level of criminal thuggery that the Ukrainians want to put behind them when they join the free world.

Russia said that they can join anything they want as long as it is not NATO - just as the US said that Cuba can import anything it wants as long as it is not the Soviets things that can go boom over the US.

PolAmKrakow
8 May 2023  #3286

@Novichok
And the rest of the world says anyone can join any club they want. Like South Africa joining the Putinazi coxuckers club is not getting them bombed. Like other countries and leaders who lick little Vlads a$$ and buy cheep oil are not getting bombed. So many existential threats to democracy out there yet they are not being bombed. Your way of thinking is completely twisted, reminds me of say a Russian. Little vlad needs his boots licked, time for you to get to work.

In the mean time, scores of Russians have been liquidated over the weekend. Leading up to the glorious May 9th parades when Russian people will begin to notice that there are not quite that many soldiers marching, and there are not quite so many tanks rolling through the streets on parade. Then a few may notice that the tanks that are rolling through are from WWII.

Some very nice weather is on the way this week and beyond. One has to think the counter offensive is going to begin soon if it has not already begun. In Moscow the local state owned department stores are now selling "do it yourself" cremation kits for parents and they come with a free body bag for transporting sons home. Happy gulag biatches!

Any prediction yet for when Bakhmut will fall ?

mafketis
8 May 2023  #3288

ussia said that they can join anything they want as long as it is not NATO

So wrong..... russia is not worried about NATO at all (despite occasional dog whistles to fragile, needy westerners with daddy issues).

If russia cared about NATO why did they do nothing when Finland joined?

At present ships go in and out of Petrograd at the sufferance of NATO and the Baltic is a NATO pond.

They even took all their troops away from NATO borders to send them to die in Ukraine....

It's about russian ideology of superiority and imperialism.

It's not a rational motive so westerners who are more oriented toward rationalistic explanations keep on not understanding.

What are the two different words for 'russian man' in Russian again and what is the difference and which does putain use and why is that important?

If you can't answer that then you know nothing of what's going on.

Any prediction yet for when Bakhmut will fall ?

My prediction is the second Tuesday of fvcking never. Bakhmut is a ruin, and Russia would never be safe from drone and missile attacks even if they could take it. Ukraine took down so many Russians in Bakhmut that the rest of the Russian effort is at risk. Not what the US said to do, but it looks like it worked to a good extent though the mumber of dead for Ukraine is a steep price to pay.

Bakhmut is a ruin, and Russia would never be safe from drone and missile attacks even if they could take it

The funny part is.... that apparently they chose Bakhmut because they thought it would be easy to take!

Poor stupid russians....

Here's a video of one going sleep sleep.... (blurred unless you click). Apparently deaths like this in the thousands don't really bother putain or russians in general....

If he'd stayed at home he would probably still be alive....

If you don't like his decision, you should join the UA or at least send him an email. With your charm, he may reconsider.

Russians shoulda stayed home, maybe someday they'll learn...

Your wisdom is amazingly ... what's the word...wise. You should have shared it with the DC boys before they spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan and sent a million or so to Allah.

I knew both Afghanistan and Iraq were mistakes (for different reasons) and did what i could to make that known. All my pessimism was fully born out.

Meanwhile.... a truckload of dead russian meat.... I would have preferred that they stayed home and were alive, you prefer them dead in the truck.... how many more truckloads of dead russian soldiers is hating the US worth to you?

Russia, using all of its precision weapons has finally destroyed a Red Cross wearhouse in Odessa. Indeed another low point for all the Putinazi fvcks. A Red Cross building filled with aid and assistance for civilians. I think a fair Ukraine target should be a Russian school next week, just in exchange for the mass murders and all the other things the criminals have done. Not while its full of children of course, but just before school starts, maybe a few teachers in there just for good measure.

Well I will read about that chapter of the war Bobko, but at the moment I am still reading Chapter 1, which is Ribbentrop being wined and dined in Moscow as the Muscovites do everything they can to impress their Nazi German allies in advance of some pillage, rape and senseless murder of our relatives.

parallels between the battles of WW2 and what is going on in Ukraine now, but sometimes the overlap is just insane

So... what does russia have now in place of lend-lease?

Bobko
8 May 2023  #3298

I am still reading Chapter 1, which is Ribbentrop being wined and dined in Moscow

A good chapter. Followed shortly on this chapter:

The establishment of the treaty was preceded by Soviet efforts to form a tripartite alliance with Britain and France. The Soviet Union began negotiations with Germany on 22 August, one day after talks broke down with Britain and France, and the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed the next day.

Just like today you won't entertain the thought of us joining NATO or the EU, back then you wanted nothing to do with us either.

So... what does russia have now in place of lend-lease?

We have the Koreans, Persians, Chinese, Arabs, and South Americans.

Novichok
8 May 2023  #3299

we started to push and didn't stop the push until it passed Berlin.

My only problem with the USSR is that you were way too nice to them after the shooting stopped. The same with the US and the Japs...Only two bombs...Damn...

parallels

and be amazed yourself at the overlap

Yes, we've been amazed at the parallels already in 2014 when Putin justified the annexation of Crimea in the same way as Hitler attacking Poland in 1939. What's more, RuSSians seemed to see the parallel too, since one of RuSSian newspapers published an article at that time showing understanding for Hitler and blaming Poland for "starting a war" :) Truly "amazing" indeed :)))

But what amazes me the most is the overlap between the today's RuSSian society and propaganda and the Nazi society and propaganda.

RuSSian society are simply sick f*cks and they don't even realise it.
