Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 5

pawian
5 Feb 2023  #391

Well, Ukraine has violated many, many of these "understandings",

Ukraine didn`t violate any agreements. Ukrainians never signed a treaty which required them to stay within Russian zone of influence. Simple. Russian invasion of Crimea and Donbas in 2014 and of Ukraine proper in 2022 were illegal acts.

Russia will pay for it dearly and you know it.
One thing is for certain - you won`t find allies for your dirty cause among decent Poles. Only trecherous nationalists and far right support Russia but they get 6% support during elections.

Quoting RT:

Ukraine to replace Defense Minister - lawmaker
Alexey Reznikov is expected to be reassigned following a corruption scandal within the military

Now I finally caught RT lying. Only Russia is corrupt, not democratic Ukraine.

First, the title:

Ex-US Marine, 33, is killed in Russian missile attack in Ukraine while evacuating civilians from besieged city in an ambulance - as his widow says: 'He saved his team with his own body'

...then the comments from the US, UK, Australia, and France:

More blood on bidens hands... Why are we even in the Ukraine? Has anyone really asked themselves why we are involved in this business? If really has nothing to do with US yet here we are losing our men and billions of dollars. Ask yourselves

Oh well, the architects of this war were seen happily sippy expensive champagne in Davos at the WEF. This "hero" was just cannon fodder.

Why would he leave his beautiful wife to do this? This is so unfair to her and their family.

Moron. Dying for another nation is goofy.

All those Australians that died in America's Vietnam war would agree with you. Never again.

So it's not just me...

My favorite: Moron. Dying for another nation is goofy.

First Canadian Leopard tank arrived in Poland already for training Ukraine troops. WOW Interesting how quick things can happen isn't it? Assuming Ukraine already has troops in Poland waiting to begin training, this should accelerate the arrival on the battlefield.

youtu.be/w8ICxUVmrio Interesting interview providing actual information I was not aware of. Happy gulag you stupid Putinazis.

More blood on bidens hands... Why are we even in the Ukraine?

Who are "we"? lol

Why would he leave his beautiful wife to do this? This is so unfair to her and their family.

He was doing the same to his family when he was an active duty Marine - the difference was that, unlike many other soldiers, he didn't die then. If you're going to say "But he didn't have to go to Ukraine", then you could say the same about what he was doing earlier - "He didn't have to be a Marine/a soldier." He chose to be one. And he chose to go to Ukraine.

Why did he go there? To save people's lives. He was a medic:

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11715509/Ex-Marine-33-killed-Russian-missile-attack-Ukraine-evacuating-wounded-civilians.html

meaww.com/amp/who-is-pete-reed-ex-us-marine-corps-killed-by-russian-shelling-while-volunteering-in-ukraine

"In 2017, he founded the nonprofit organisation - Global Response Medicine 2017. The organization released a statement, "Pete was the bedrock of GRM, serving as the board president for 4 years. In January, Pete stepped away from GRM to work with Global Outreach Doctors on their Ukraine mission and was killed while rendering aid."

I had a look at the photos published in the Daily Mail article about him and I knew I recognised this guy from somewhere - he was in that great documentary "Hunting ISIS":

m.imdb.com/video/vi1595260185/?playlistId=tt8372660&ref_=tt_ov_vi

m.imdb.com/title/tt8372660/mediaviewer/rm2243379456/?ref_=tt_md_7

He was also a volunteer medic there helping Iraqi soldiers and civillians during the Iraq's military campaign against ISIS:

huckmag.com/art-and-culture/renegade-medic-of-mosul-saving-lives-frontline/

In that documentary "Hunting ISIS" he explained why he's doing what he's doing, so if you're interested - WATCH IT.

Moron. Dying for another nation is goofy.

He wasn't "dying for another nation". He died saving other people's lives. PEOPLE'S lives. I'm sure this is what they were for him - "PEOPLE", not "Ukrainians". If you think that risking your life for strangers makes one a "moron", then all firefighters, lifeguards, police officers, etc. are "morons". But if you were in danger you'd be calling for such "moron" to help you.

As for his "beautiful wife" - I think I recognise her too. In that documentary "Hunting ISIS" she was introduced as his girlfriend, as far as I remember. She was a photoreporter, also working in war zones. So I suspect she understood his husband better than most people...

This is what she said:

"'He died doing what he was great at, what gave him life, and what he loved, and apparently by saving a team member with his own body,' she added."

So, as you can see:

Another scumerican mercenary liquidated.

This human scum Crnogorac3 was celebrating the death of a man, who saved thousands of lives as a volunteer medic, even though he was fully aware that he was a medic.

You deserve to burn in hell, Crnogorac3. 🔥👹🔥

This is a statement from Global Outreach Doctors about Pete Reed and his death in Ukraine:

globaloutreachdoctors.org/in-memoriam-pete-reed/

"It is with great sorrow that Global Outreach Doctors (GoDocs) announces the passing of our Ukraine Country Director, Pete Reed. Pete was actively aiding in the evacuation of Ukrainian civilians when his evacuation vehicle was hit with a reported missile in Bakhmut, Ukraine on Feb 2, 2023.

(...)

Pete was a beacon of humanitarian work - an incredible visionary, leader, compassionate care provider, and an inspiration to us all. He selflessly dedicated his life in service to others, especially those affected by disaster and war. Pete accomplished more in his 33 years than most of us in our entire lives. He leaves behind an incredible legacy.

Pete joined GoDocs in January 2023 to serve as GoDocs' Country Director. Pete was also Founder of Global Response Management as well as a former US Marine."

@Novichok, are you going to tell us next that Doctors Without Borders are "morons" too?

meaningless -ussian waffle..

So typical. Signing treaties means nothing to russians. But breaking an 'unwritten law' means it's okay to invdade.....

The self-deception and rationalization and narcissistic thinking is off the charts... no wonder Ukrainians want nothing to do with them (who would? I mean... it's the least appealing culture in the world).

@Crnogorac3
Want to know where things stand? Ukraine has 700,000 men fighting and holding the lines. Ukraine has two million more men receiving training on western weapons to kill Orcs and the little coxuckers that support them. Those are real numbers. Too bad NATO isn't bombing the $hit out of the Orcs on the ground like they did to Serbia, this would have been over a long time ago and the little Putinazi's would still be burying Orcs.

You know what happens when soldiers who have been training with NATO forces hit the ground? Tens of thousands of them will be better equipped to kill more Orcs more expediently. They will also be able to train future Orc killers.

What will be funny is when little Serbia is actually part of the EU and little Putinazi's will have no choice but to conform, die or leave. Freedom is a beautiful thing, those who hold on to slavery and a slaves mentality deserve all the absolute $hit they are given to eat.

Like in the case of Dinsdale Piranha the Russians have unwritten laws ? That ordinary modern people should not break ?

Pathetic - we are not interested in your empty threats. Only one country listens to your nonsense - Belarus. Everyone else knows Russia could not fight it's way out of a paper bag

Btw, to me those tattoos looked like they may have been photoshoped onto his body, but then I googled him and:

Yup, it's true. He's a f*cking neo-Nazi. 🤦

A quote from the article:

"Viewers of the card were shocked and disturbed to see an individual sporting so much blatant far-right iconography on his body and asked how he was booked on the show at all."

Clearly not a problem for RuSSian army! LOL

And here's a swastika on his right arm:

sportbible.com/other/news-mma-mma-fighter-with-nazi-tattoos-competes-at-event-suffers-defeat-20210224

I'm sure Mother RuSSia is proud of her son! lol 😂

And in case anyone thought that this info on Northern-Slavic Community site about that neo-Nazi getting a medal is a fake - no, it's not lol:

m.vk.com/wall-67483652_3444

The text of that info:

"Казак Северо-Славянской Общины Михаил "Питбуль" Турканов стал
Кавалером Ордена Мужества.

Поздравляем, Братуха! 🤝
Слава России!🇷🇺"

It's hilarious that a "Slavic" community congratulates a neo-Nazi as their "brother", considering that the symbols that he tattooted on himself symbolise an ideology that labelled Slavs as "sub-humans" and would have them either turned into slaves or exterminated. Morons lol 🤦

Interesting thread on what makes russia so uniquely terrible.... they have no vision of a future....

twitter.com/sichkovskyi/status/1621951271119818755

tldr: countries have to have some idea of a better future to be viable.

Ukraine has an idea of a better future and has taken steps to achieve it,
the USSR promised a better future,
even Nazi Germany had an idea of a better future (as awful as it would be for everyone else),
at present there is no better future imagined in russia.... they invade because they don't know what else to do

Paulina
6 Feb 2023  #407

@mafketis, that's a good point, I was thinking about this too... Ukraine has similar issues to RuSSia (like corruption, etc.), but the difference between those two countries/societies is that Ukrainians want to improve, they want a change and they're ready to work for that change, even to fight and die for it... And in case of RuSSia/RuSSians it's - as my friend from Moscow called it - "marazm/маразм" (apathy, stagnation)...

PolAmKrakow
6 Feb 2023  #408

@Paulina
I have a theory as to why Ukraine wants the change and exhibits the movement forward so much more than Russians. Ukraine is or has been much easier to travel into and out of. No special visa's, no invitations required, no red tape. Lots of EU and American visitors to Kiev and Lviv. More than in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Because Ukraine is seen differently than Russia by the west. Ukraine is seen as wanting to escape the Russian influence. While the similarities between the two countries exist due to a lot of shared history, Ukraine has evolved much more quickly since 1991.

I think that Ukrainian economic migration to Poland plays a role too... it's easy to dismiss differences in quality of life between former soviet countries and the UK or US (or even Germany) are easy to dismiss due to historical cultural differences, but Poland is much closer in terms of history and culture and language...

A few years ago a Ukrainian driver who was given Polish citizenship after saving people in a dangerous traffic accident talked about that. He'd been driving to Poland for decades and seen how much it changed for the better...

He died saving other people's lives.

The surest way to save lives is by asking if the objective is worth dying for.
In this case, it is not. See Crimea.
Anyone who doesn't mind dying to keep D and L from becoming like C is a world-class imbecile. Or a Polish Russia hater. Same thing.

Paulina
6 Feb 2023  #411

I think that Ukrainian economic migration to Poland plays a role too...

I think you and PolAm are both right - it's easier to travel into and out of Ukraine - it's probably about the proximity to Europe. RuSSia seems to be closer both physically and mentally to Asia, rather than to Europe. Ukrainians can see that there's a better life out there and they want that too for themselves and their country...

Plus different history... Maybe living in one country with Poles made them more rebellious lol

And the fact that RuSSia was an empire and nowadays also aspires to be a superpower... I think it's possible that RuSSians are too proud and arrogant to learn... Ukrainians got their own country not that long ago and they're more humble - they are eager to learn and to take good example from others (at least that's my impression).

The surest way to save lives is by asking if the objective is worth dying for.
In this case, it is not. See Crimea.

It wasn't Pete Reed's job to get all philosophical about whether there's a point in Ukrainians fighting and dying or not. He was a medic, not a philosopher or a political expert. Ukrainians are fighting and dying anyway, so he went there to save as many lives as he could.

And as for the question whether something is worth dying for not - that's for Ukrainians to decide, not for you or me. It's their country and their lives.

Anyone who doesn't mind dying to keep D and L from becoming like C

I honestly don't know what those letters stand for lol

But I can play this letter game too:

Anyone who doesn't mind dying to keep P in power is a world-class imbecile. Or a Russia hater. Same thing.

Again, Russia is right by making it more difficult. Because it was so easy we got that gift from hell aka 9/11. Open borders, like open houses, are a curse, not a virtue. Is your house unlocked so any strange a-hole can just walk in?

He was a medic, not a philosopher or a political expert.

Medics can be stupid, too. Especially medics with families.

Paulina
6 Feb 2023  #413

@Novichok, RuSSia has had it's own "gifts from hell" without outsiders travelling into RuSSia - from Chechnya and Dagestan. And RuSSia has it's own "open borders" too (just not with Europe lol) - there's plenty of illegal immigrants in RuSSia. I remember one guy from Moscow (with Putinist views) complaining during our discussions that cashiers at supermarkets can't speak RuSSian, about Chechen taxi "mafias" lol in Moscow, etc. So you're wrong and you have no idea what you're talking about.

Medics can be stupid, too. Especially medics with families.

The fact that you don't understand why someone is risking his or her life to save others, doesn't mean that this person is stupid. It means that you're stupid and you lack empathy and understanding. You lack empathy and understanding of other people on regular basis. You often don't understand many things, Novichok. That's why discussing such things with you is pointless.

I was always flabbergasted about Slavs being proud Neo-Nazis....do they feel rather "aryan" than Slav? Or what is it....

Paulina
6 Feb 2023  #415

@Bratwurst Boy, I have no idea... lol :/ Those are the real morons, I guess...

So what? Does that justify our stupidity of open everything?

No, it just means that RuSSia isn't that much different in this respect as you think (or you'd like it to be).
The only difference is that RuSSia gets their Muslims from inside of RuSSia and the Caucasus, instead of Middle East and other immigrants from various "-stans" instead of Mexico, etc.

When he says "I do" and has kids, he loses the right to be reckless with his life.

I don't think he had kids and it looks like his wife supported what he was doing. She was not only a photoreporter, but also a trained nurse and founded Global Response Medicine together with him:

cbsnews.com/video/american-aid-worker-killed-in-ukraine/#x

Btw, majority of people have families. That includes firefighters, soldiers, reporters, police officers, rescue workers, paramedics, doctors at hospitals, humanitarian aid workers, etc. Their work quite often comes first before their family, unfortunately. You don't have to go to Ukraine to neglect your family or die while doing your job.

Since you got personal, how many kids do you have?

Since Pete Reed didn't seem to have kids that's irrelevant. But I can tell you that if my husband wanted to go to Ukraine to fight, I'd lock him up in a basement and chain him to a wall if I had to.

6 Feb 2023  #416

Slavs being proud Neo-Nazis....

russia had more nazi supporters in WWII than any other country in the region... at the time their main appeal was they were against the communists who'd done such social and economic damage to the country....

Also, as covered by Galeev (among others) in modern russia the nazis are bad not because of the holocaust or what they did to other countries but because they were against russia... so in russian logic anyone who opposes them now is a nazi. nuts, I know, but..... russia...

Anyone who doesn't mind dying to keep P in power is a world-class imbecile

Exactly, imagine throwing your life away because if you don't the tsar might be inconvenienced or embarrassed.... every russian who goes to Ukraine is a world class idiot.

Paulina
6 Feb 2023  #417

No, she didn't support him while leaving.

I think people are too complicated for you lol

I don't know how to explain it to you... It's like with being a soldier's wife. Some women are cut out for it, others aren't... Some can manage it, others can't... Not everyone is the same (that's something you have problem grasping, imho). And even for those who can manage it - it isn't easy. But they still support their husbands.

How do you tell one? I mean "neo-nazi".

They have swastikas and/or other Nazi symbols tattooed on their bodies, for example... o_O

you should read about the Vory v Zakone

Lol wut?
Back in the 90s there was a bit of a conflict within the Russian speaking organised crime in the Czech Republic and the Armenian vor v zakone hired a Chechen assassin at one point to kill his Russian rival. The Chechen dude came highly recommended as a famous war veteran who did some extreme guerrilla sh*it during the war, except when it came to the action he first stabbed some random dude (who survived anyway) because he was wearing similar clothing to his target. After that he shot (and killed) a driver of well known businessman because he had the same car as his target. The cops went crazy after this (since at first it seemed this Czech VIP was targeted) and proceeded to dismantle the whole organised group - vor managed to escape back to Armenia after getting out on bail, but his career in the country was ruined.

I can see the parallels with the current situation, how angry dwarf Putin messed up the situation for Russians.
