That 2014 "revolution"...Quoting:

Political scientist Ivan Katchanovski - of the University of Ottawa - has revealed that a paper he produced outlining evidence that the February 2014 massacre of Ukrainian protesters by sniper fire, a defining moment of the Western-backed Maidan coup, was not published by an academic journal for "political reasons."

So much for a free and open society like Canada. Continuing...

As the editor noted, the massacre was a "politically crucial development," which led to the "transition of powers in the country" from the freely elected Viktor Yanukovich to the illegitimate and rabidly nationalistic administration of Aleksandr Turchinov, a former security services chief. It was endlessly cited in Western media as a symbol of the brutality of Ukraine's government and an unprovoked attack on innocent pro-WesternMaidan protesters, who allegedly sought nothing more than democracy and freedom.

The surest way to detect crappy Western lies is by looking for and finding "democracy" and "freedom". It is also my way of inducing vomit.

It was published - and can be viewed easily on google. Looks a very poor piece of work - rambling with bad punctuation and few section headings or references. Like an evening drinking gut rot vodka with Vanya and Semya at the tram stop

US marine who helped to "liberate" Iraq from the Iraqis

Former US Marine who never served in Iraq, only in Afghanistan (two deployments).

delivering humanitarian aid and rescuing pets, and that's right out of all places precisely in Bakhmut... 🙄

Yes, he died while evacuating civillians:

kyivindependent.com/news-feed/donetsk-police-over-5-000-civilians-still-in-bakhmut

I've provided you with extensive evidence that he's been a humanitarian aid worker (together with his wife) for quite some time now. If after all of this that I posted you still claim that he was a "mercenary" fighting in Ukraine then you're either a moron or you're lying on purpose to spread misinformation.

What mercenary, pardon

And as for real mercenaries then, pardon me, but why do you have a problem with volunteers from different countries fighting for the Ukrainian side, but you have no problem whatsoever with actual mercenaries from Wagner Group, including men with serious prison sentences that Prigozhin got out of prison so they could fight in Ukraine? Especially that mercenary groups are illegal in RuSSia, so what are they doing fighting in Ukraine on behalf of RuSSia? Why aren't you outraged by the fact that Wagner Group mercenaries are fighting for RuSSia? Do you realise this is called hypocrisy and double standards?

Also, Crnogorac3, what do you think about that neo-Nazi with tattooted swastikas fighting in a RuSSian army and even getting a medal for it?
Maybe RuSSian army needs some de-Nazification? 🔥🔥🔥 What do you think? 😁

Btw, until I've read that article about Pete Reed's death I didn't realise that there are still civillians in Bakhmut... Jesus... I thought it must be a ghost town and a pile of ruins by now...

And now reports are coming out that little Vlad is asking for talks through intermediaries. They are ramping up to make the war more bloody and realize that they cannot win or achieve the goals of continuing to occupy Ukraine. Meanwhile Ukraine has said FO until you meet four conditions, starting with withdrawing from Ukraine. It must be difficult to know you are defeated but have no choice to continue pushing comrades into the meat grinder. Just shows how completely fvcked the mentality is of Russians.

asking for talks through intermediaries

According to generalsvr (yeah, ymmv) he's been presented with outs twice and he's responded to both with increased attacks on civilians....

He's had more than enough exit paths and he's bulldozed past every single one.... no sympathy for him (or russia... it's worked long and hard for its misery).

And as far as foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine are concerned... Ukrainian journalists are not only writing about corruption scandals. Watch and learn, Putinists, this is what an independent journalism in democratic countries looks like (an article from August 2022):

kyivindependent.com/investigations/suicide-missions-abuse-physical-threats-international-legion-fighters-speak-out-against-leaderships-misconduct

Info about this in Polish media (it was a joint investigation by "The Kyiv Independent" and Polish TVN):

tvn24.pl/swiat/ukraina-piotr-kapuscinski-ps-broda-oskarzany-o-grozby-kradzieze-i-handel-bronia-przez-czlonkow-miedzynarodowego-legionu-obrony-ukrainy-ustalenia-dziennikarskiego-sledztwa-6303626

wyborcza.pl/7,75398,29208752,pulkownik-broda-polski-swiadek-koronny-wyplynal-w-ukrainie.html

In Poland Piotr Kapuściński (that's "Sasha's" real name), known as "Broda" was one of the leaders of Pruszków gang and is wanted by the Polish police.

A fragment from the "The Kyiv Independent" article:

'"Locals saw how we loaded the furniture which made me very uncomfortable. It felt like we were robbing them. I didn't come to Ukraine for this," a testimony of a Columbian soldier reads.

"There were local residents near the shopping mall, one of whom, seeing this, shouted insults, and the others looked at us with reproach and condemnation. I don't know whether it was legal or not but I felt ashamed to carry out the order of Sasha Kuchynsky and take away furniture and valuables from stores during hostilities and in front of local residents who suffered from the war," a French legionnaire wrote in his statement.

Some soldiers refused to follow the order.

In a video obtained by the Kyiv Independent, some foreigners can be heard in the shopping mall questioning the legality of "Sasha's" orders.

"We will not be implicated by any means as looters. We will not stand for this," an English-speaking soldier is heard saying.'

This is absolutely shameful and should be adressed by the Ukrainian authorities ASAP. Such stuff is damaging to Ukraine and to their war effort. That Polish gangster should be booted out of the Ukrainian military and face criminal charges.

Another fragment:

""There were really good special (forces) guys. I mean, not from the regular military. A lot of special (forces) guys literally just said: 'No, thank you. We can't work like that anymore'," an American soldier said."

:(

And final point:

""I have a very, very, very pleasant experience with everybody in the Ukrainian military outside of Sasha and Tarases," one of the American soldiers said.

"I've always just kind of kept my mouth shut. Just because people like Sasha really discredit all of this," he said."

Respect to journalists Anna Myroniuk and Alexander Khrebet from "The Kyiv Independent"! Good job, guys, keep going!👏👍 🇺🇦❤️🇵🇱

This is a follow up to this story, but I didn't have time to read it yet:

this is what an independent journalism in democratic countries looks like

This is one big reason that putain invaded (as expounded upon by Galeev among others) a democratic liberal Ukraine is a far bigger danger to the russkij mir than NATO could ever hope to be.

The idea that russians would stop being pathetic apathetic lumps and make demands upon the government is far more terrifying to the russian elite than defensive troops close to the country.

Novichok
7 Feb 2023  #431

why do you have a problem with volunteers from different countries fighting for the Ukrainian side

Simple. The idiots, like all do-gooders, never consider the unintended consequences - only how they feel at the moment.
What they don't consider is that their stupidy prologs wars. This one is no exception. It will end soon and not in a good way for Ukraine. It already did for 250,000 of their dead and wounded and Z minus P is still at best equal to 0. See Crimea.

...a democratic liberal... Ukraine

hahahahaha...You are really a funny guy..."democratic" and "liberal"...that was a good one, maf...

Paulina
7 Feb 2023  #432

@mafketis, yeah, in RuSSia those journalists would end up in prison for "discrediting" the RuSSian army. And if they happened to live in a Ukrainian territory occupied by RuSSian forces and would write about abuses of the RuSSisan army towards civillians, etc. they would end up dead in a ditch in some forest.

This partly answers Novichok's question what would change for Ukrainians if RuSSia took over Ukraine - their journalists would get either threatened, blackmailed, tortured or would end up dead (or all of the above).

What they don't consider is that their stupidy prologs wars.

I'd say that that small number of foreign volunteers on the Ukrainian side is far less likely to prolong war than the mobilisation of a few hundreds of thousands of RuSSian men. So who's the biggest idiot? Putin! :D 🥇I'm sure it will make him feel better that he's the best at... something lol

You are really a funny guy..."democratic" and "liberal"...that was a good one, maf...

What's so funny? You don't understand what maf is talking about, do you?

mafketis
7 Feb 2023  #433

the mobilisation of a few hundreds of thousands of RuSSian men

Over 1000 dead russian soldiers in the last day.... over 130,000 since the beginning of russia's insane invasion....

What is worth 130,000 deaths? Why doesn't russia just give up?

@maf, because human life isn't worth much in RuSSia. It never was...

F-35 Right on Russia's Doorstep
Quoting:

The aircraft arrived in Poland last week and will take over NATO air policing flights in the Baltic Sea region. In addition to the fighters and pilots, approximately 150 personnel from the Royal Netherlands Air Force also have been deployed to the Polish 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork, located approximately 60 km (37 miles) southeast of Gdansk - home for all of the Polish Air Force's MiG-29 Fulcrums.

According to a report from TheAviationist, the Dutch military deployed its eight F-35 aircraft to Malbork with special tent hangars - erected jointly by 34 Dutch engineers supported by Polish personnel.

Federal government approves delivery of 178 Leopard 1 tanks

Ideally, the first Leopard 1 battle tanks will be delivered to Ukraine this summer, but the majority of them will, probably, only be provided in 2024

Novichok
7 Feb 2023  #438

I'd say that that small number of foreign volunteers on the Ukrainian side is far less likely

If it's small, it's meaningless to the war outcome but very meaningful to their families - yes, dear, volunteers have parents, too - when dead for bs thousands of miles away.

The title of stupidest belongs to foreign volunteers dying for Z or his supporter without first reading, comparing, and thinking. Gut reactions are bad as a point of reference.

Germany is sending Ukraine 178 Leopard 1 tanks. Where are the clowns that laughed about T-64s being used in Ukraine? The Leopard 1 began development in 1956. Before this Slovenia had sent Ukraine 30 T-55s, which began development when the war was still in full swing.

But dying for your dictator little fag Vlad is not moronic? Maybe the Chechens who are turned into dog food are moronic? Or the Serbs? Maybe the Syrians? And now, chief Putin coxucker and ballwasher Kadyrov has publicly said he wants Poland to be next on little biatch Vlads invasion plans. "I personally have such an intention, and I have repeatedly stated that the fight against Satanism should continue throughout Europe and, first of all, on the territory of Poland."

This is exactly why Russia's government leaders, and Chechen leaders need to be completely destroyed. This will not stop. And it will not stop with Poland if it gets that far. You fvcking idiots wonder why you are hated? POS all flock together.

But dying for your dictator little fag Vlad is not moronic?

That's their problem. My interest is exclusively in Americans as victims of both propaganda and their own lack of perspective. That's why militaries all over the globe love the young and the naive, and not just because they are stronger. Many 40-year-old men are a lot more fit than 18-year-old kids. They are just teenagers, FPS!

another day, another war crime by sub-human Russian soldiers...

Easy...Those men serve their country just as proudly as the US Marines serve theirs.
I am the only one here who said that German soldiers were German patriots first. What they were ordered to do under threat of immediate execution is an entirely different matter.

Back to Ukraine...Any man facing death day in day out can become an unrecognizable and violent "animal" so take it easy with your holy indignation.

Quoting from that link in you post:

Minister Oleksii Reznikov: "In Chernihiv Oblast, the Armed Forces entered a liberated village and there lay a murdered mother, to whom the russians tied a baby with tape. Our soldier cut the tape to take the child away and a grenade exploded between the child and the mother."

This reminds me of those bad Iraquis "throwing babies out of incubators" in Kuwait - a story delivered by that teary lying bit*ch at the UN. But since Ukrainians never lie, your story is really compelling.

Back on topic edition 133

Poland is going to supply Ukraine with about 74 tanks:
14 2-A4 Leopards
30 ex- Soviet T-72 tank, modernised to PT-91 Tough version
30 other tanks not specified, probably old versions on T-72.

Nazis will nazi. Nazi Russia and their lemmings are hilariously obvious. Why is the west shuffling their feet the same as when Nazi Germany was doing their bullshitz? Are they waiting for a Pearl Harbour event? Afterall, the excuse Japan made was that the US was 'defacto' in the war because they were sending weapons to Europe... Hmm..

Germany now says Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine by the end of March. And 10 billion sale of HMARS to Poland from USA approved today. Ever more closely to throwing a bomb down the Kremlin stove pipe and whacking the POS Vlad.
