Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 5

Smiles until Russia is fully Co-erced by them

Very good point. Chinese are smart with the sly, unctuous kind of smartness. They know that Russians like the outward signs of respect, tinsel and show. That's why, yes, there will be smiles and handshakes, there will be red carpets and military orchestras and limousines etc. etc. But the end of it will be sad for Russia. Much sadder than acknowledging their position, withdrawing from Ukraine and making a sensible peace with the West.

Indignant

Is it so much to ask?

I see Deripaska today talking about the deep doodoo that the Russian economy is in. Says Russia will run out of money next year. Hopefully for their sakes, our resident paid trolls are getting paid in hard currency

GefreiterKania

@Bobko

Tell me it's not true. You guys are suckers for veneer: pompous speeches, red carpets and military salutes. Chinese know this and they will exploit this weakness.

Is it so much to ask?

Ha, ha - that's the difference between us. A Polish minister will go to China - he will be happy with modest welcome, modest honours and a taxi ride to his quarters as long as he gets a good deal. A Russian minister will get red carpet, military orchestra and a limousine, and will be happy even with a sh*tty deal. You're like children, guys.

Sorry the Putinazi coxuckers cant understand that Russia invaded, and China's peace plan had zero details. The idea of reinstating any deals with Russia concerning trade is a nonstarter, and China knows it. Now the Chinese virus creators are lining themselves up for sanctions, and those little child labor enthusiasts are not going to go any further. No one GAF what Russia thinks or wants, when are you idiots going to realize this. The only end, is Russia being out of Ukraine or the end of Putin, there is no other end.

@GefreiterKania

Look, I myself am a sucker for pompous speeches, red carpets, and honor guards. In Napoleonic times, they said Russians would tear off the golden buttons on their uniforms to pay for a last drink in Paris. Russians are suckers for pomp - this is true. Live beautifully, die beautifully - because you never know how much time you have on this earth.

Fair enough. :)

Ukraine have been warning about a false flag operation by r*SSians in a particular area for some time. It looks like this has now happened.

"Vladimir Putin has accused a group of Ukrainian sabateours of staging "terror act" on a border Russian village. Russia called for an urgent Security Council meeting after a group of armed men claimed to have staged the first cross-border attack by Ukrainian troops.'

"Last month, Ukraine warned of a false flag operation in the same area, saying that Moscow could use it as an excuse to further escalate the war."

telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/03/02/russia-calls-security-meeting-reports-ukrainian-saboteurs-attacked/

The question is, what is Putler up to, why has he done this. It looks like they've got some sort of escalation planned.

As one of Navalny's people said: "This smells very much like Gleiwitz".

Says Russia will run out of money next year

The US is out of money to the tune of one trillion every year and you don't seem to be concerned. But Russia...hey...that's a different story entirely...

Russians are suckers for pomp

That's why I watch all your May 9 parades for those two convertible limos, music, and the troops. Especially the women.
I wonder if the Russian army could find a uniform Kim could squeeze into.

A reader's comment:

Ukraine as a country can no longer exist because it would remain a threat to Russia's national security. Therefore Russia can't be satisfied with only a liberated Eastern part of Ukraine. Russia should push all the way to the Polish border.

Which should be OK with NATO. They always wanted to go all the way to Russia's doorstep.

But Russia tried to conquer the whole country and get to our border - in 3 days using supposedly elite troops.

And what happened ? They turned up sloshed, with no gas and no ammo, no GPS, no spare parts and no air cover. 12 months later they have just about captured the suburbs of a small market town called Bakhmut, and that is it. Absolute joke - pathetic drunk losers.

pathetic drunk losers.

That just about sums up the useless Russians.
But they have one thing in their favour....cannon fodder.....thousands of them!

I just hope the Ukrainians have the stomach to kill them all.

But they have one thing in their favour....cannon fodder.....thousands of them!

Seven hours ago, I posted this after reading the Sun about "meat grinders":

To my continuing amazement, only Russians are dying. Not a word about the meat grinder grinding Ukrainians. So started thinking about why it is so and came up with the following:

1. Ukrainians are inherently immune and metal parts just go through them like in the Arnold S. movies.
2. Russians don't know how to shoot
3. Russians know how to shoot but prefer to shoot each other
4. Russian ammo are blanks
5. Dead "Ukrainians" are actually Russians and don't count as Ukrainians

Any other reasons why war casualties are exclusively Russian according to the Western press?

Feel free to make your contribution.

7 hours ago we were doing normal things - hanging out with family, having beers with friends, watching football, maybe reading. Why do you think Poles would waste a good evening engaging with paid Russian trolls ?

Or maybe you think we are all in our bunkers, waiting for the drunk Russians to locate the keys to their 1970s tanks ?

So much for the Russian hopes of Chinese help...

@Bobko
Polish elites learned it the hard way after 1920, same kind of behaviour and conundrum. Touting about the glory of Soviet-Polish war victory and living from it internally but, ridiculed internationally.

Something similar is happening with Russia right now

They turned up sloshed, with no gas and no ammo, no GPS, no spare parts and no air cover.

They couldn't even carry out yesterday's false flag operation properly without botching it.

@Bobko
Not really no, just need to know for what and how.

In the past most people cheered it on due to lack of information about how the Soviet Union worked (inprisonment system, excecutions etc) very harsh measures for a harsh climate. Russians in general are drilled and prepared to their most and not complain (similar to Norwegian culture and mentality due to harsh way of life through most of it's history)

So I get it that a lot of Russians are not only doing or has done more then bare "minimum" especially compared to Western Europeans.

Problem is that people in Russia are forced to see limitations everywhere, cause Russians are limited by nature, people, government etc. so harsh and strong limitations are Russian daily life and norm.

While Poland has done everything it possibly can to lift as many possible limitations (mostly brought from outside of Poland), which is a very stark contrast that most Poles do not understand and/or ignore and Russians not only don't get it, but easily become resentful of Poles living a better life even slightly better. (Especially hearing Poles complain on percieved "easy mode")

So one of the few things a Russian can have is something shiny and glamour, otherwise it's a sad existence.

Can somebody explain why only Russians are dying in this war, please?

Alien
3 Mar 2023  #1221

only Russians are dying

Well....., because it is a Civil War?

jon357
3 Mar 2023  #1222

a Civil War?

Why do you think that?

Novichok

Another indicator, if not proof, that Ukraine is winning...Quoting:

Key Donbass city surrounded - Wagner chief
Yevgeny Prigozhin is encouraging Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to let Kiev's forces retreat from Artyomovsk

He added that previously the Wagner group had been fighting a professional Ukrainian army, but is now instead coming across more and more old men and children. "They are fighting, but life under Bakhmut is short. A day or two," Prigozhin said.

...and a reader's comment:

Watched the video, Artyomovsk is nearly done, the only unknown is the final Uki body count. Only one road left and that may now be closed. Wagner is in the centre of the city, the killing field is ready. Elensky doesn't care, the Russians care more about the Uki old men and children soldiers than he does.

Strange...I read that Russians love killing people.

Another indicator, if not proof, that Ukraine is winning

Winning of the war would be: Ukraine keeps most territories and joins NATO.
Loosing of the war would be: Ukraine neutral regardless of territories without any guarantees, that would mean Russia would just annex the rest now or in a couple of years.

Alien
3 Mar 2023  #1225

Why

Civil War

...because only two years ago I couldn't find differences between Ukrainians and russians.

jon357
3 Mar 2023  #1226

There are certainly cultural similarities, as there are between Germans and Austrians, British and Irish, Spanish and Portuguese however none of these want to be part of the same state.

russians often underestimate Ukrainians, and of course any similarities mean that russia is attacking an enemy who knows them very well and can predict their every move.

Beijing is bringing back Chinese names of Russian cities on their maps, including Vladivostok and Sachalin...

fronda.pl/a/Pekin-zadrwil-z-Moskwy-Chiny-przywracaja-chinskie-nazwy-rosyjskim-miastom,212267.html

... hmm, maybe this time they won't wait for 1000 years to do something. When we add this to the previous piece of news about
blocking the sale of Chinese civilian drones to Russia, it gets interesting.

This whole Chinese-Russian "alliance" thingy had died before it even started.

3 Mar 2023  #1228

Have you seen the latest video of this Russian humiliation ?
The Belarussian resistance group, known as BYPOL, has released footage of it landing a copter-drone directly on the aircraft's huge Vega Shmel-M ( "Bumblee") radar dish, while parked near the Belarussian capital of Minsk, without anyone appearing to notice.

cms neuf

It's not only Russian's dying. But it is mostly Russians and the reasons are obvious

They are untrained
They are indisciplined
They have old weapons
They can't be bothered to clean or service their weapons
Their tactics are poor
Their commanders don't care about them
Medical care is poor and many die of treatable wounds
They are naturally unhealthy due to poor diet and thus die more easily of wounds
37 percent of them are alcoholics
Most of the rest are problem drinkers

GefreiterKania
3 Mar 2023  #1230

@cms neuf

So why hasn't the NATO-trained and equipped Ukrainian army kicked those alcoholics with old weapons out of their country yet?

Let's not make a schoolboy mistake of underestimating the enemy.
