Realistically, China could simply work through all the border towns above Kazakhstan heading west and eventually get to a point where they could cut off what most consider "Russia" start heading north to the Barents sea taking Yekaterinburg and there would be little that could stop them right now. China has been building the miltary for years. To attack the US? No. Taiwan? Partially. They wont need 2 million to take Taiwan.

Interesting thought though that Russia and the US could have been allies. I would agree that relationship would be unstoppable. The differences in government and economies would not let that happen. That bridge was blown up with the Berlin Wall, the nuclear buildup on both sides, and these stupid wars on both sides.

I see you finally accept the reason why so may coutries join NATO. Every single country that joins NATO does so for entirely the same reason. The fear of the threat of Russia, that is the only possible reason that any country would ever join NATO. There can be literally 0 other reasons.

For example, they would never do so in order to more tightly integrate with Europe and their neighbors, to have improved security against other possible security threats (future or current) besides Russia, to gain access to a nuclear deterrent without developing nuclear weapons themselves, to just be more secure so they can reduce their defense budget, or to improve relations with the US.

Meanwhile, in the war, Ukraine has broken through in a significant way. What was a small breach on the Dnipro has turned into a breakthrough of up to 8 kilometers in some directions. In other directions it is 3 K deep. Either way, that is a pretty big breach at this point and the ground has not completely frozen yet. When that happens, Ukraine could begin to take pretty big chunck of land pretty quickly. It looks like Russia has thrown most of their bodies into trying to recaptur Avdiivka, and now some points along the line of contact are thinning.

Hungary is now saying Ukraine is light years away from joining the EU and will stop more negotiations. All the while little Vlad is locking up more political opponents, and those having any disenting voice. Russian democracy at its best, strangely though, some points are also looking a lot like Biden democratic actions these days.

Hungary is clearly a client state of russia now (probably because the russian government has kompromat on Orban....). I'm incredibly disappointed in the country (though to be fair he jerry-rigged the electoral system so that he doesn't need a majority of votes to keep his stranglehold on power....
