Russians are not a seperate group.

Of course they are.

They are the very far right here on PF.

They can be such, too but it isn`t important - what matters is they are war hawks. In their cases the war supercedes all other issues. Ha! And I haven`t noticed their leaning to the middle. You have problems with your eyesight??

@pawian
Once again you want to personally attack anyone who has a different opinion. I took a break from PF because I was tired of dealing with people who only rehash the same old positions without actually looking into the other sides positions. You sir, are no authority on anything. Citing a legal text written by the EU and not the case law that has been decided against it in several EU country member courts is not exactly complete research or stare decisis opinion.

You dont care about the USA? Yet you and others want the USA to keep funding this war. You might want to adjust that statement.

Calling people stupid is not name calling? News to the rest of us.

Show me where I called you stupid. :):):)

As for the rest of the reply, see you later. :):)

Thank you very much.

You're welcome.

But even if your grandfather and father were too poor to always have a pack of condoms, it is never too late to make the necessary adjustments. You can go volunteer in Ukraine and our experienced post-natal abortion masters will do everything for you.... ;)

I knew that Zelensky is a professional comedian, but I did not know that Polish President Duda is also skilled at trolling:

"Ukraine is behaving like a drowning person clinging to everything he can... but we have the right to defend ourselves against harm being done to us," he told a press briefing in New York.

"A drowning person is extremely dangerous, he can pull you down to the depths... simply drown the rescuer," Duda said.

Therefore, he continued: "We must act to protect ourselves from the harm being done to us, because if the drowning person... drowns us, he will not get help."

After giving this joyful speech, Duda proceeded to cancel a meeting with the Ukrainians on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Also, President Lula of Brazil, explained he was not feeling well, and thus could not meet with Zelensky. The Indians similarly found a way to avoid meeting him. This is after Zelensky's deputy last week called China and India countries with "low intellectual potential".

Kania is right, Ukrainian turbo foreign policy is beginning to backfire.

Russia has lost another SU-34

This is the 21th confirmed loss of such a strike aircraft.

Only 180 left to be destroyed! Then we'll have to go back to using SU-24s, of which there are maybe another few hundred.

Knowing Russia, maybe 60 of them are in any useable condition.

Little by little, Russias' military strength evaporates.

@Tacitus
The problem is that time is now on Russia's side. We all know they dont care about how many men die or get injured. Russia has never exited a war before a million people were killed. They have so much stock of planes and WWI era equipment, they can easily go another 18 months. They are now producing more bombs, with new tech through the black market, whihc will offset a lot of the depletion that took place earlier. 60 SU-24s is still alot more than what Ukraine has.

Z is now telling Trump to release his peace plan so it can be discussed. But there will be no acceptance of Ukraine land being lost. So, there is no start to negotiations. What is the offer to bring Russia to the table from Z? The end of Russian deaths? Russia has plenty of bodies to keep going until the new US president pulls out. In a negotiated peace, both sides have to give up something. Meanwhile world leaders are avoiding Z at the UN. Not a good look.

Hey, PAK, I want to thank you for relieving me from dealing with Mr. T. I find it exasperating.
As far as the post itself, spot on, again.
Now I can have my breakfast.

Debatable. We should not make the mistake of overestimating Russian cohesion. The Wagner mutiny has shown that things move fast against Putin, and a long war will destabilize his regime further. While Ukraine will receive more and more Western weaponry. So far Russia had to content with mostly outdated Soviet planes and anti-air defense systems, yet they suffered such losses.

When the shooting started in Feb 2022, some of you called me "a surrender boy" and rightly so. Today, I am as deeply ashamed of my pacifist stand then as I am proud of the 400,000 dead Ukrainians now and their accomplishments. I am just not sure what those are.

Can you, guys, help me and make a list? Please, exclude "pride" and anything that cannot be measured in meters, kilograms, or units of time.

Also, please do not include any benefits that went to the professional warmongers in DC and London. No "...but Russia", either. Let's concentrate on our friend, Ukraine.

yes... russians (the overwhelming majority of them) simply do as they're told... sheeple,

that's what makes the 'putain has to get something from this' camp sound so wrong... he could withdraw and declare victory tomorrow confident that no one would challenge him publicly and would cheer the great 'victory'...

@Tacitus
Of course its debateable. That said, Ukraine has taken back about 53% of the territory taken by Russia at the start of the war. Nice progress over 19 months considering that Ukraine was outmanned and out gunned from the beginning. But, Ukraine has a manpower problem and an equipment problem as far as what they need and the volume that they need it in. Russia may have $hit for equipment, but they have a bunch of it, and they have plenty of men to spare by their thinking.

Time is not on Ukraine's side. The deliveries of planes should have happened in month 6 of the war. The US and EU should have been all in or all out at that early point. In either direction, this war would be over by now. So now you have an elction coming in the US, and a Republican is the likely winner. Ukraine will be cut off almost instantly in January 2025. So, what happens then? The EU steps up? Not a fvcking chance. Poland on its own? No fvcking way. It's a 16 month race to the finish line, and Ukraine needs to make a few very big moves to put themselves in control of negotiations. Russia has lost the war, but if the US support is gone, they will likely keep all the land they control in return for the lives they lost, and they may actually take all of Ukraine at that point.

Nobody shows the U vs. R separation line.
Do you know what it is today? It's a good-faith question, not a provocation.

Trump?

I don't see it, he scared off the middle-of-the-road normies who helped get him elected in 2016....

Both parties are remants of what they once were... but that's a different topic.

I would say the most likely result is a change in rhetoric but no real change in policy.... the big change in foreign policy didn't happen with Obama getting elected in 2008 but sometime around 2016-17 and Biden has mostly continued those policies...

PResidents are largely figureheads and large amounts of day to day policy (domestic and foreign) is brought about by career diplomats.... there was a generational change around 2016 (give or take a year) and I don't see it changing much very quickly...

Again Trump will say things but they won't be translated into policy (any more than his 'wall' did....)

I hope PAK is right about "Republicans".

My bet is that he is wrong because "Republicans" are a pretend opposition. That's why so many of these scumbags are "RINOs". That is why I hate "Republicans". They are spineless pussies.

Proof: For two years, with Trump in the White House, they had both the House and the Senate and did sh*it about the wall, immigration, and the asylum con game.

My prediction: They will vote for money we don't have, to be wasted on the most corrupt bottomless sh*ithole known to mankind: Ukraine.

where is BB? I haven't seen him here for about a week. :-/

Where is JR? His last post was on Aug 16.

Hey, Lyzko, any errors here? How about clarity?

There are some pretty good maps online and if you look at all sides, and all reports, its about 53% taken back. Good result for Ukraine considering how fvcking stupid they sounded before the start of th war saying nothing was happening when the US was sounding the alarm.

@mafketis
You dont have to see it. Neither do I. Trump was a fart in the wind when Jeb, Rudi and all the others were leading, and then look what happend. Obama was a first year senator facing Clinton. It wont be Trump unless he has a christ like intervention. It will be the Indian guy, or Desantis, or someone else from out of the shadows. But it will be a republican and one who will break the narative. Because that is what a majority of Americans want. Even Democrats are tired of the Biden bull$hit. Have any of you far left fanatics watched the congressional hearings with Garland? The Democratic party will lose one way or another. It has reached a tipping point in the US, and the EU needs to be aware that when the US backs out, they better step up. I dont write on emotion Maf, I look at all the information available. And although I want Ukraine to shove missles up Russias a$$, I am a realist, and time is running out.

Polam
You made a mistake coz I never called you stupid. I only said you had written stupidities and need to think twice. It isn`t the same. I have always considered you an intelligent person.

There is some problem with you. You aren`t the same adamant Polam you had used to be before your break from the forum. Now I am reading further your opinions and understand at last what you meant by forum far right leaning to the middle. You were talking about yourself. OK, now I know.

As for the EU requirements for Poland concerning the rule of law, you tried to act very foolishly, knowing I am here to debunk that bs of yours. Try to wait till the moment when I take a break from the forum and then you can lash at the EU. But I can`t promise I won`t call you stupid when I come back.

You??? Such an undeterred internet forum warrior??? Amasing!!!

PS. Your strange forgetfulness and unexpected transformation into a milder version of Polam provoked me to ask a question about your health problems. It was not mocking or derision. Tell us sincerely, we need to know - did you have a heart attack or a stroke and need rehabilitation now?? If you did and do, I will be more delicate on you. Just say yes or no.

I meant I don`t care about the USA coz it isn`t a threat to Poland like Russia. Stop twisting - you knew what I meant.

It will be the Indian guy, or Desantis

I liked Desantis as governor of Florida but his national debut has not gone... well so far....

The Indian guy sets off all my alarm bells... I dont' know if he purposefully has studied body language in order to give out every signal going for falsehood and insincerity but.... yikes! he seems like a snake-oil salesman...

Biden is too old and Harris is awful (honestly Stacey Abrams as crazy as she is at times would have been a better choice).

I don't see any real leaders on either side stepping forward....
