Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 8

Just remember that the UK is no longer part of the EU

I dont include the UK or Poland in the Euro Weasel category. They get what they vote for. Ive been hearing a red wave is going to sweep across Europe next cycle.

refuse to his job and still be president is proof that something went terribly wrong

It a total dereliction of duty he should have been impeached already.

The Democrats ignore the border and Bidens crimes with China. They own the media so you never see it in the news either, 1/2 the country is clueless and is zombified by Tic Toc.

Its going to take another 9-11 before they wake up. Biden has already let the terrorists inside the country.

The only good thing will be the end of the DNC forever:)

I like the nice part of you more my friend. :) Don't even mention this potential apocalypse, which with Tusk in power is quite possible :(

Apocalypse? I am always told that migrants are assets and good for the economy. Just ask Atch and Barney.

DOJ is going to try to prosecute people who never stepped one foot into territory that would have availed them to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Not a first time, this was done regularily in the past. Later - arrest on arrival in a "friendly" country, deportation to US, etc, etc...

Victim is usually unaware about existence of problems to the last minute - Interpol base is updated by search record when plane is already departed...

Tucker Carlson on X:

"The Biden administration is openly threatening Americans over Ukraine. In a classified briefing in the House yesterday, defense secretary Lloyd Austin informed members that if they don't appropriate more money for Zelensky, "we'll send your uncles, cousins and sons to fight Russia." Pay the oligarchs or we'll kill your kids."

I am always told that migrants are assets and good for the economy.

People with a modicum of intelligence make a distinction between controlled legal migration and uncontrolled illegal migration.

Just because there is a law allowing for anything, does not make the abuse of that law "just". The US is many things, many great things and many things that the world should fear. Black site prisons for one. I dont see the US as being all things great, It is a very flawed democracy. Congress is corrupt, and this president is corrupt.

Supporting Ukraine is not something that should be forced on the American people who clearly want the borders closed and illegal immigration to stop. Now, sleepy Joe's little boy has been indicted on a bunch of charges in California. Who wants to bet, that at some point Newsome comes in and pardons the little Biden as a favor to sleepy Joe? Yet, there is still zero movement on support for Ukraine even after the Secretary of Defense talks about having Americans on the ground fighting. The UK sends former PM Cameron out to beg the US for more money and Ukraine support. The exiled Belarus leader comes out begging for money and arms saying all of Europe is at risk of Russia invading if Ukraine is lost. Who TF made it the responsibility of the US to protect and defend Ukraine for an indefinite period of time? Nearly two years, and all Ukraine has done is not listen to US guidance, and continued to be a hotbed of new forms of corruption. Not exactly signs of good investment.

Where? The last thing Ukraine wants are American troops on the ground (since they haven't won a war since....... when?)

Ukraine has outperformed expectations with every type of equipment they've received, have shown initiative and innovation (while russia still relies on meat waves).

There was one story that Ukrainians were bristling under US 'training' because it was all outdated and had nothing to do with the conditions on the ground there.

Just give Ukraine the weapons promised (IIRC only around half to two/thirds of promised equipment has ever reached the country).

And air cover. You cannot normally make progress on the ground without air cover which the US has repeatedly hemmed and hawed about.

John Kirby said from the WH the other day that the cost of a loss in Ukraine would mean American blood. Love the bashing of the US and then asking more more aid. It is this reason that the US should not send another penny to Ukraine. The American troops destroyed Iraq and got rid of Sadam, were they supposed to occupy it forever? US troops went into Pakistan, unannounced and killed Bin Laden, what did Pakistan do? Nothing. The US got the Taliban out of Afghanistan, and then the Afghanies let them back in. When was the last war Poland won?

Ukraine has done a fine job after being trained by Americans for 8 years. With American weapons. Ukraine would be Russian for the last 18 months if not for the United States. Ukraine has everything that was promised by the US, and now they want more. Biden is trying to get them more, but Biden wants to play games with the US border so he isnt getting anything. Now if Biden had half a fvcking brain he would have made a deal to get Ukraine what they want more than a month ago. But Biden wants to ruin the United States with illegals to suck up to minority voters wqho he thinks will vote for him in November. So it is Biden who is holding up things.

Air cover? Seems like Ukraine pilots are being trained in the US. Cant fly a plane you cant operate expertly. Makes a lot of sense.

Maybe Ukraine and Z should stop corruption, and not have to fire so many government official and military leaders because of it. Maybe they should tell the truth to the US and STFU about how the US has to support them. Because the US does not have to support anyone. Why doesnt Poland take over all these expenses? Because its fvcking stupid, and no one else can fill the US shoes. So take your US military hate and maybe look at the Polish military for not doing more.

Kirby said from the WH the other day that the cost of a loss in Ukraine would mean American blood.

He's not wrong.... russian state media makes very clear that they really, really, reaaaallllly want a war with the US (just not quite yet).

Forget Ukraine... what do the republicans want to do about an aggressive, expansionist russia that wants war with NATO?

Like it or not, the US is not returning to Feb 23, 2022.... and pretending that russia is not a major threat is insane, stupid (or shows they've been bought off).

russia can't mount a military attack against the west yet, but the faintest semblance of a 'victory' will embolden them to attack NATO (not directly at once, it will be small incursions that can be ignored... until they can't).

And russia is _far_ better at hybrid warfare than the US and is the US doing anything about that?

Feb 23, 2022 and Oct 07 are steps in the same process and the US is standing around with its thumb up its @ss wondering why people are being so mean... (both parties are broken I'm non-partisan in my disdain for US politics).

Ukraine pilots are being trained in the US

Well after a year after asking for that.... what was the reason for delaying so long?

Republican concern about the border after decades of facilitating illegal immigration stinks of kayfabe.... if they cared then why didn't they support Trump on immigration?

I agree the border situation is completely effed up. I disagree that the republicans want to do something about it or the drug plagues or mass shoplifting or addicts sh]tting on the streets either.

I will say that all of these are not the big problem, they're _symptoms_ of the big problem and the root causes need to be addressed for anything to happen.

@mafketis
Russia does not want a direct conflict with the US or NATO. Putin has said as much. Russia has lost 50% of its entire military capability due to the US supplying 10% of its annual military budget to Ukraine. A war with the US in the next ten years would end in nuclear winter because Russia could not win a conventional war.

What you and others are refusing to recognize and understand is that the American people have had enough of this, and all the other wars. The republicans see it. The American people have had enough of illegal immigration, and deaths from drug smugglers. American people are prepared to get rid of the current government and start over. The real sense of what the majority of Americans want can be felt in any place where there is public conversations.

People complain about the US being too slow, and I agree that they were, but Ukraine is not and has never been the responsibility of the US. Ukraine is the responsibility of Europe. Why didnt Europe arm Ukraine? Why wasnt work being done for the last 30 years to expedite them into the EU?

The US problem is mental disease, drug addiction, and inflation. Of note, the worst cities in the US are all run by Democrats that wanted these rediculous policies. Republican concern, I agree its not genuine, is guided by the voters telling them that they have had enough. One thing about republicans is they listen to their supporters a lot more on these issues than democrats even look at them. Republicans did support Trump, the Dems controlled the house and senate.

Look at what Newsome did in California when Xi came. Cleaned up in one day, and now its a disaster again. They want this crisis so the democrats can tax and spend more. Voters see this, and the democrats are even losing the minority vote because of it. The US cant clean up the US, and fund Ukraine at the same time. Which do you thin the American voters would vote for?

NATO

If they invade a NATO state, they'll get a war.

responsibility of the US

If they want to be a superpower rather than just posing as one, they've got to walk the walk. And a withdrawal of support to a country being invaded by the state that NATO was set up to defend the west from would be such a shameful loss of face that they would not be taken seriously as a superpower again.

Worse even than their defeat in Vietnam, and an admission that China (who will overtake their GDP) now call all the shots.

That was the USSR, not the third world country known as as Russia. (lower GDP than Italy, highest amount of schools not having running toilets, and Krokodil). Gorbachev made some good points during the collapse of the Soviet Union but sadly that was ignored by the warmongers in the US.

Not a hope. I see the rise of China (together with the right wing populist stooges they and their puppet r*SSia fund in the west and in Africa/South America) as the biggest threat to the world right now and for the rest of the century. They are dangerous, and their economy and geopolitical power will overtake those of the US and EU in the blink of an eye.

You are of the mistaken belief that the American people GAF what Europeans or anyone else thinks. Putin is biding his time waiting for US elections. If Trump wins, Ukraine will never go back to its old borders, and Vlad wont do anything more. If Biden pulls off a miracle Vlad will just keep throwing bodies at the war and Ukraine cannot keep up with that.

The US will always be a super power. They have the nukes to do anything they want. Continuing to fund Ukraine does nothing to change that. Just like Russia is still a military super power because of Nukes and China is as well. Everyone else is small potatoes. NATO was NOT set up to defend Ukraine, they are not a member, and never will be. Loss of face? Not a chance, 90% of Americans couldnt find Ukraine on a map and dont GAF. China overtaking the US GDP? Have you read the latest economic forecasts and birth rate projections? China's economy is shrinking along with their population.

I get it, everyone wants the US to fund, and supply everyone else's wars. Because thats always been done. The problem is, that eventually when walking down the same paths anywhere in the world, the path wears out and you need to find a new one. Europe should have been preparing for this for the last thirty years, and Europe has not done anything. They didnt even uphold their spending commitments to NATO. The US will eventually give more weapons to Ukraine, but they wont be getting cash anymore. So who in the EU is going to step up?

jon357
8 Dec 2023  #768

the American people

Nobody cares what they think, including their own government except in election year.

The US will always be a super power. They have the nukes to do anything they want

They won't and they don't. In our lifetimes they will be eclipsed by China.

And if one of their political parties impedes their government's strategy, they will lose face so badly that they will become an international joke.

Russia does not want a direct conflict with the US or NATO. Putin has said as much

You're making two classic rookie mistakes...

You think russia makes decisions based on ideas like 'logic', 'rationality' and 'strategy'.... (Germany thought that too.... look what it got them)

You believe what putain says (remember the russian government denied up to feb 23, 2022 that they had any intention of invading Ukraine

Vlad wont do anything more

Silly boy, why did he put up a sign on the Estonian border saying that it doesn't exist?

The logic of the current russian regime _requires_ military aggression against its neighbors. Irrational? Yes. True. Also, yes.

The US will always be a super power

Not if the international community decides that aligning with the US mean losing (which it will).

If the US wants to be a super power it has to act like one. Domestic issues need tending to but selling out Ukraine won't do that.

From Telegram channel of Ukrainian blogger and lawyer Tatyana Montyan.. Again... And why I think about Ukraine while read this text? ;)

Ungrateful German people 🤪

German Chancellor Olaf #Scholz has become the most unpopular head of government. According to an ARD Germany poll, his policies are supported by only 20% of the country's population. The last time such a level of support for the activities of the Prime Minister was recorded in 1997, when Germany was ruled by Helmut #Kohl, and it was just before his resignation after the election defeat in 1998. 😳

A little earlier, in the summer of 2023, polls showed the lowest level of trust in the state as such in history: only 27% of respondents expressed confidence in the state's ability to solve their problems. On the contrary, the ratings of the Alternative for Germany party, which is disliked by the German establishment, are on the rise, and by the elections it may well become the most popular party in the country. 🤷‍♀️

It would seem, well, what could go wrong? Infrastructure was surrendered in favor of the Greens, immigration policy - to the multiculturalists, the economy was brought in line with the requirements of the Eurobureaucrats, foreign policy was made hostage to the interests of the United States... What do these damned voters do not like? They should have been so unlucky with the people, holy $hit! 😤

You guys are hilarious. You think you understand how Americans think, and that the good old US of A is going to always feel the need to rescue someone. The idea that the EU wouldnt see the US as a super power because it stopped funding a corrupt country who doesnt follow orders on what should be done with the American money and resources is pretty funny. The idea that the EU would think America fvcked up because it took care of its own problems is really just showing how mental some Europeans are. When Poland and other countries put Poles and their own citizens first, the US somehow shouldnt? That is simply not even logical.

You think Americans GAF about some sign near Estonia when their neighbors child over dosed because they touched a plastic bag that blew into their yard that was once filled with fentynol? The international community will align with who if not the US? South Korea? Saudi Arabia? Who is Europe going to by weapons from? China? Russia? Iran? The EU isnt going to do anything close to walking away from the US because it cant, there are no other options, and the EU is not strong enough to equip or defend itself.

Again though, really funny, the thinking that the US has to take care of Ukraine, and at the same time saying the US is a dumpster fire. It is exactly that kind of thinking that Americans simply want to walk away from and then say call us when you have the next world war and see if we pick up the phone.

You think you understand how Americans think

I'm American, trust me, I know how we think and how easy it's become to hoodwink us...

The destruction in America is/was on purpose (a bipartisan effort) and those hanging out the prospect of fixing it if you just stop helping Ukraine are lying to you.

I've seen this fandango before... It's called divide and conquer.

When did republicans start caring about the southern border? What was their come-to-jesus moment? Why didn't it happen during Trump's adminstration?

When did they start caring about poor addicts? What brought them round? Where does this sudden concern come from?

jon357
8 Dec 2023  #773

how Americans think

It makes no difference what they think. It's what their government think.

If that country want to lose face badly, lose access to international markets and to conflict zones, they are free to do so.

And meanwhile, China rises.

PolAmKrakow

Respectfully, this is a new time in US culture. Not one Republican is saying they dont want to help Ukraine. Remember it was Biden that tied Ukraine and Israel funding to border security not the Republicans. The Republicans tried during the Trump administration and both Congess and the Senate were controlled by Democrats who shot every bill down. Which is why they go so pi$$ed off when Trump did things on his own by executive orders. If we are to have a real discussion we have to make sure its based on facts not feelings.

@jon357
It makes no difference what Americans think? I assure you when they sweep your hero Biden out of office it will be those people who do it. What the US government thinks, is really questionable at best. Bidens whole administration is a gong show. His son just got indicted for nine charges and none of the leftist socialist news outlets gives it more than 30 seconds. Losing face is not a thing in the United States, the concept does not exist outside of the Asian culture. Meanwhile China's economy shrinks, along with their population. China isnt rising.

They dont read or research I am finding. China's growing population of old people who cannot or do not work, coupled with declining birth rates has Xi in a panic. China's economy cannot catch the US without correcting birth rate and population issues to increase production in agriculture and manufacturing. But that stuff is just stupid details. China is rising in one category. Octogenarians and older.

Meanwhile, no comment at all about proofs presented concerning Biden, and funding Ukraine. Biden, not the Republicans is responsible for no funding at this point. Because as you say, he is out to ruin the country. But why address the facts, when feelings are so much more fun.
