Poland activates their fighter jets

A standard procedure I think, it was all over the news anyways. Not that they are going to attack Russia.

Russia has accidentally bombed one of its own villages.
This was reported by the Russian military, according to The Moscow Times.
The military stated that it was due to an "abnormal discharge of aircraft ammunition."
REALLY !
The incident occurred today.
Nobody was killed but scared out of their wits.

It was the EU who took issue with the plans of the Polish government because they were in direct violation of the European treaties.

blame us for OPder pollution

If you poison a river, try to blame the neighbour (against the laws of physics mind you) and obstruct any attempt to locate the source of the pollution, then you can hardly complain that said neighbour will demand extra caution in the future.

Who knows how much more Polish attention the Oder can survive.

@johnny reb

Russia has accidentally bombed one of its own villages.

Perhaps the pilots consider this to be safer than getting in range of the Ukrainian Patriots?

The village was 93km inside Udmurtia - good to see the precision weapons are doing their job

Hey, cymes, you can masturbate like this all you want but Russia is not going to give up CDL or Ukraine be a viable country in your lifetime. Or in NATO... Your dick will fall off before that happens.

You can masturbate

Don't be so crude, it is an open forum that even children can access rather freely.
Since we are on a subject that is dear to your heart you talk about it often, can you at your age masturbate at all? Is that possible?

Ukraine is a viable country already - hence Udmurtia's inability to defeat it, not to mention the fact that it will be welcomed into the EU

Nonsense that is what they claimed - lying at that! No treaty said anything about meddling in a country's judicial system.

Sure, sure just send us some more German waste and then blame it all on us. I think in protecting nature we are better than you, but you wouldn't know listening to your German propaganda day in and day out!

Germany burns less petroleum so it burns more coal. The result: carbon footprint went up...They also hate nuclear energy because nukes in any form give the greens fits.

The german green policy proves to be a disaster...for more and more people, left and right....🙄

I guess they won't win any elections in Germany anymore! Sadly the next one is still two years off...

Andrew Hammel pointed out that a big weakness in the German system is the inability to kick out a bad government through a no-confidence vote... so Germany's stuck and the AfD is just going to grow stronger.... thanks Greens! thanks Angela!

so Germany's stuck and the AfD is just going to grow stronger

That! *nods*

People are starting bets when the surveys will show that the AfD will be strong enough to rule alone (over 50%)....the longer this gov is in power the more the numbers of potential AfD voters is rising (today in Saxony already 37%)....with no end in sight, on both counts!

want German citizenship

...are you an illiterate, illegal immigrant? Preferably from a far away culture, with no hope of fitting into a highly industrialized/educated society? Then your chances would be good! :)

Of course, you could even rise your chances with shaving your beard off and declaring yourself a minor...that also helps....then you could even shoot someone and still keep the state support!

Interesting.... apparently at an outdoor concert in Ekaterinaburg(?) putain's New Year's Address was televised and the crowd began jeering....

isolated and so probably insignificant (since most russians are cowards and terrified of standing up to any kind of government, no matter how bad) but... nice....

No! This cannot be...

You are lying.

Putin lives in the heart of every Russian, his image before our eyes as we go to sleep. So, this makes me think that these were Ukrainian agents, trucked into Yekaterinburg for a psyop operation.

I'm not worried, however. We lose regiments and divisions, but do not lose faith in the Imperium. At the same time, the enemy is losing entire armies, and does not have this faith whatsoever.

The Imperium will remember every Guardsman - motorized infantryman, every angel - airborne, every loyal servant of the Emperor.

The Emperor Protects.

catholicherald.co.uk/zelenskys-move-against-the-ukrainian-orthodox-church-is-a-step-too-far/

the world has not given the Ukrainian government carte blanche to intimidate or harass innocent church officials or churchgoers. If the Ukrainian government has proof of criminal wrongdoing within the church, then it should investigate and charge it under the law.

What it should not do is violate a fundamental human right when the entire world is looking to it in the hope that it might be a beacon of hope in a region where human rights are few and far between.

I haven't been paying too much attention to this conflict, but is the Ukrainian government curtailing more and more rights? Rights that aren't necessarily connected to winning the war, but solidifying power and control of the current government?

Bobko

the Ukrainian government curtailing more and more rights?

Good morning, AntV - so good of you to join us.

Ukraine has been using every tool at its disposal, to stamp out the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). The previous president, Poroshenko, paid a bribe to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and that Greek f*ggot issued a schismatic church called the Orthodox Church of Ukraine a tomos of autocephaly. The head of that Church, was a man named Filaret, who created his church in 1991 after he lost the elections to become Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'.

Since then, a faith that counted amongst its members 85%+ of Ukraine's population, is being assaulted on every front. Parishes are "nationalized". Priests are thrown out onto the streets. Old men and women, are being harassed on Sundays for being "fifth columnists", by big burly men in short haircuts.

This is just the religious sphere.

Again, it's ok. We will clean the Earth of these heresies.

AntV

According to the article:

Evidence has yet to be presented that would demonstrate foreign control of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church; indeed, the head of the UOC in Ukraine has denounced the Russian invasion.

Since the February 2022 invasion, the UOC has operated independently of the Russian Orthodox Church. The UOC's priests, its leadership and thousands of followers fully support their country against Russian aggression and have done everything in their power to separate from the ROC.

Therefore, the assault on the UOC on every front, as you put it, makes one wonder what is the real point of these assaults, since the UOC is openly pro-Ukrainian and critical of the Russian invasion.

This is just the religious sphere.

Can you name some non-religious spheres where such assaults on liberty are taking place within Ukraine?

We will clean the Earth of these heresies.

Let's hope you'll also clean Russia of its heresies, as well. What type of reports are you getting from Russia about the man on the street's attitude toward this war and Putin's rule? Are Russians (in any significant numbers) tiring of either or both?

Bobko

Can you name some non-religious spheres where such assaults on liberty are taking place within Ukraine?

1) Press (TV) - there is no independent TV any longer. Martial Law has been used as an excuse to create the so called "National TV Marathon". This means that even those channels that are owned by Zelensky opponents, are forced to broadcast the same rose-tinted message as everyone else (for news programming).

2) Press (print) - this censorship has been more subtle. Simply, Ukraine's government and military do not grant access to Ukrainian journalists. This is why, any piece of negative news that gets into Ukraine, has to first be printed by the NYTimes, WaPo, Bild, or El Pais. They are still afraid to limit Western journalists. Still, even the regime surrounding Western journalists is being made more strict. No unaccompanied interviews with commanders, no more access to the front.

3) Trampling of all constitutional rights afforded to Ukrainians by their constitution. People are being grabbed at highway checkpoints, doctor's offices, gyms, restaurants, when shopping for food. This is despite there being a legally prescribed protocol for how mobilization is supposed to occur.

4) Lynchings (figural and literal) - people that have expressed pro-Moscow views, or even a certain ambivalence, are losing state jobs, getting thrown into trash dumpsters (seriously), tied with scotch tape to lampposts and then whipped with electrical cables, or outright killed.

5) Extralegal expropriations - businesses are being taken away from people, that are not seen as perfectly aligned with Ukraine's government. This could be, for something like paying taxes into the Russian treasury. But it could also happen, because someone in the Presidential Administration has taken a liking to your business, and is exploiting the cover of national security to execute literal theft. The typical accusation in these scenarios is that a "Russian passport was discovered."

AntV
2 Jan 2024  #1829

@Bobko

Where are you getting your sources (not that I doubt...or not) on this stuff?

....compared to what? Democratic Russia?

It doesn't need to be "in comparison," we should accept it objectively.

Just because Russia isn't the poster child of liberty, doesn't mean Ukraine is.

One of my major concerns about this war is that Ukraine is going to b e held up as some kind of torch holder of liberty and panacea of corruption and tyranny.

Bratwurst Boy
2 Jan 2024  #1830

.....what else?

The other narrative is Ukraine is full of Nazis and deserves to be invaded and destroyed....

I mean think it through....even the most peaceful country with the weakest army can now declared to be "bad" enough to justify an invasion. I'm sure every country has some darker spots to be used....

How should that end?
