Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 8

If Poles are sane. They sure are arrogant and ungrateful a-holes.

Flattery won't get you anywhere, just go find a Russian and do what you are best at...

LMFAO buddy, you have no clue as to the circles I run in. My feelings are not hurt at all. Yours obviously are. If you think my posts are emotional you need to read some of your own, then go take a valium and STFU.

@Novichok
I am constantly amazed at the level of absolute ignorance of some people. People who refuse to look at things from multiple angles and try to understand other peoples positions. When some people dont understand the concept of deterance, or why the US would take hard line positions after Ukraine ignored their instructions, one can only say WTF.

You have no clue as to the circles I run in

You are running in circles that is obvious. Is there a point you would like to make?

My feelings are not hurt at all.

Look I judge you by the content of your posts, in the last three or four you don't make any arguments, you are poking here and there - what is the point of all of it. Don't be combative when it is clear you are not up for it.

You need to read some of your own

Which posts? In our exchange I doubt it. If you talking about something else - what it has to do with anything? I can be emotional for several reasons but I don't have meltdowns and definitely, I'm not going to swear and curse a guy just because I'm not able to match his argument or his level.

So once again LOL and see ya! merci beaucoup.

Putin has deployed nearly 35,000 national guardsmen to curb Ukrainian resistance in occupied territories under Moscow's control, according to Kyiv's Nation Resistance Center (CNR).

A Ukrainian uprising.

Ok, so why US was in panic in 1962, once Soviet missiles suddenly appear on Cuba?

Why is it different? Two main reasons:

The Cold War is over and it has been over for over 30 years, the USSR doesn't exist anymore and there is no more ideological clash between Communism and the West. There also aren't dozens of proxy wars in Africa, South America or the ME where the West or Communist states fund these wars. But during the Cold War there was no way the US would allow nukes to be built on Cuba because it was the Cold War.

Ukraine doesn't have nukes and the US\NATO wasn't building nuclear infrastructure in Ukraine unlike the CMC where the Soviets were doing this.

Its completely different and that's not me justifying the US response to the CMC because the historical context and reality is different.

Use another example to make your point but to suggest that the invasion of Ukraine is justified like the anger from the US around the CMC is not historically accurate at all

What does Russia want from Poland?

Realistic answer - just be friendly.

Realistically - Russia can do little to eject Poland out of the EU or NATO. Only Poland can do that. For this we may need to wait for PiS to come back into power.

So we cannot make Poland enter our Customs Union, or ODKB security bloc. What could we want then? Poland as an advocate.

Poles are Slavs, we lived together in one country for a long time, and our cultures are very similar. Why can't Poland advocate on behalf of Russia in the EU and NATO forums?

Serbia does this, and it feels f*cking amazing. Like we have brothers on the other side of the Balkans.

Your current prime minister was one of the highest ranking EU officials just recently. He could have articulated to Brussels, Paris, Berlin - the Russian perspective. Whether in the lead up to the war, or during sanctions package negotiations. He had the moral authority and stature, for his voice to be heard.

Instead, it was yet another Pole screaming for Russia to be punished.

Russia knows how to repay friends. If you consistently took a pro-Russian position (but not so far as to jeopardize your relations with others), I think you would notice your gas prices declining suddenly, and Polish businesses being given privileges in our market.

And if it ever has any friends it will demonstrate that.....

Our cultures are very similar ? Biggest laugh I had all day - we can only dream about the 24 hour sushi bars and gold telephones of Moscow

Priveleges in your market LOL - who cares about that ? though it might be handy for Polish plumbers to help install toilets

And shut up about your stupid gas prices - we don't need or want it any more. We will buy it from Norway or the US

Kania is a real Pole - unlike your plastic self. He actually reads, and has quite a bit of knowledge about Russia.

He seems to think I may have a point regarding the similarities.

The value of your opinion, based on past performance and certain other indicators - is a little bit less than zero.

Thank you!

In addition to my totally brilliant Z-P=0, I am proud to be the author of the theory of Polish Exceptionalism. It goes like this...

It costs a lot of money to stand guard and assure the safety and well-being of another country - with one exception: If it is the US guarding Poland.

Under the Polish Exceptionalism rule, in this arrangement, the US is a beneficiary and Poland a generous benefactor.

The second part of this rule (I am so very proud to be the first one to come up with it) is that the US should be eternally grateful for being allowed to serve Poland in that capacity.

The third and last thing: The US is forever obligated to be Poland's pro bono police. Let's call it the ratchet wrench principle that makes the tool turn only one way.

is a little bit less than zero.

In other words, he is a moron. Thank you for this oppo to add my two cents, Bobko.

Realistic answer - just be friendly.

The best case scenario to end this war? Russia fails, is kicked out and humble themselves and stop worshiping Stalin and after decades leaving their neighbors alone NATO stops being considered that important. The grip of the rainbow Tyranny in Eastern Europe is reduced gradually. Russia decides to compete with the west by being better than the west instead of by forcing everyone into its own insanity, don't necessarily become a democracy per say. maybe becomes more akin to a Orthodox UAE, attracting the best of the west.

The worst case scenario? Russia quickly conquers Ukraine, attacks Baltic and NATO fails in the article 5 obligations, and them quickly attacks Poland and uses nukes consequence free, hence half of the Europe will be under Putin's new Iron Curtain and half under the Washington Rainbow Curtain and the entire of Europe becomes either Neo California or Neo USSR. As there is no safe haven for people to vote with their feets and money, everything descents into s*hit.

One moron per forum is enough. That position is already taken by cms. Your application was late...

"Quickly conquers Ukraine" LOL

The last year they conquered less than 1 percent of it and now they are having to scrape up drunk " National Guards" from bus shelters to go and try to maintain co trip behind their lines - of course they will get no weapons and no training

Bobko
8 Jan 2024  #2116

The last year they conquered less than 1 percent of it

The first picture is a map of activity on the Eastern Front between 02/1943 and 08/1943.

The second picture is of activity between 08/1943, and 12/1944.

As soon as the Wehrmacht ran out of men and weapons, they were being pushed at a rate that basically matched how quick the Red Army was able to advance without losing cohesion.

Basically, the Germans presented less of an obstacle than logistics - to some extent.

The same is true of this war - territory does not matter. The victor will take huge swathes of territory. It's a battle of wills, manpower, and industrial potential. First one to fall, loses.

In WW2 you had brave Ukrainians on your side and American equipment

This time you have a few canisters of moonshine, some rusty soviet rifles and a few Ugandan built drones

CMS Neuf would have made a great citizen of the Third Reich.

Himmler and Goebbels would love such a credulous follower.

He doesn't need any preparation:

1) Racial hatred of Russians - CHECK
2) Unshakeable belief in the superiority of Western arms - CHECK
3) Absolute myopia towards any worrying developments that change the narrative of the war - CHECK!!!

With a citizenry made up of just Neufs, maybe Hitler could have lasted another year or so.

This time you have a few canisters of moonshine, some rusty soviet rifles and a few Ugandan built drones

Holy sh*t.

The Ukrainians must really be apes to be losing to that.

Also, I noticed it failed to register that in the first picture Ukraine is fully occupied. Somebody had to free those "brave Ukrainians".

This Third Reich being the allies of Udmurtia - their leaders wined and dined with lavish banquets in Moscow in 1939 while ordinary workers were starving

As I said earlier, past some point, the losing side's top dogs are war criminals and their victims are their own people. Z is a war criminal.

This Third Reich being the allies of Udmurtia

Oh, but my friend... Masovia allied with the Third Reich even earlier. You beat the stupid Udmurts by a whole year!

Masovia always ahead.

From Western Wikipedia:

At noon on 30 September, Poland gave an ultimatum to the Czechoslovak government that demanded the immediate evacuation of Czechoslovak troops and police and gave Prague time until noon the following day. At 11:45 a.m. on 1 October the Czechoslovak foreign ministry called the Polish ambassador in Prague and told him that Poland could have what it wanted. The Polish Army, commanded by General Władysław Bortnowski, annexed an area of 801.5 km2 with a population of 227,399 people.

The Germans were delighted with the outcome. They were happy to give up a provincial rail centre to Poland. It was indeed a small sacrifice, spread the blame of the partition of Czechoslovakia, made Poland an accomplice in the process and confused the issue as well as political expectations.

The Czechs, incidentally, seem to be the smartest of the Slavs. Their country never gets destroyed, and they always have the highest GDP per capita of any Slavs - despite being what people may term "pussies".

Bobko

@Novichok

Just to continue about the Czechs. They literally split themselves in half, in the 1990s - just to get rid of freeloading Slovaks. Now they are even richer than before.

These easy-go-lucky Czechs, I tell ya...

Russians, Poles, Ukrainians could learn a thing or two from them.

@Bratwurst Boy

I'm just messing around. Everybody knows the Czechs are the richest and have the most preserved cultural legacy, because they became German lapdogs almost a 1,000 years ago.

I'd rather be an Udmurt freezing in my outside toilet in the middle of the taiga, then a Bohemian burgher sipping coffee in a cafe.

Bratwurst Boy
8 Jan 2024  #2130

I guess the Bohemian burgher thinks the same about that Udmurt!

It would be great if everyone would have the chance to choose....
