Medyedev/ russian media propaganda says is the absolute truth to their future intentions.. So which is it?
In other words.... how do you discern truth within an elaborate web of falsehood (aka 'russian world')?
Short answer: patterns and congruence (harmony between the liinguistic and non-linguistic aspects of a message).
And I never said/wrote "absolute truth"....
Why does Medvedev say crazy things? Because he wants to stay alive and that depends on being seen as undesirable by the west.
What about the content of the crazy things? Notice he never 'threatens' to deprive other countries of their russian populations.... they've got more than enough room and more than enough money to relocate the entire russian population of the Baltics back to their homeland in fine style.... why do they never talk about this? He doesn't tell the exact, literal truth but the meta-message is very consistent.
What does russian state media say (what are the leitmotifs? the constants?) the details differ over time (and the surface is most often made up of lies) but the underlying message is the same - "we're too small, everybody's against us, we're better than them, we have to strike them before they strike us"
Do the math, throw away the mainstream media (esp in censored Australia).
Here's a nice video by Vlad Vexler (born in the USSR) on putain's speech yesterday... a nice introduction in how to interpret the vast gap between russian messages and reality.
(nb I have a broad selection of non-mainstream sources, not all of which have I shared here).
