Having a bigger surplus of able men

They need the sober ones to keep the country running. And the drunks to get the harvest in and work in the factories.

....even so!

Glory to Ukraine!

Take a chill pill!

I really wouldn't thought Russia running out of soldiers that quickly....
@ Bratwurst Boy

They are using what they can and I must say if you think about it there are some reasons behind it. After all, it is better to lose some layabouts criminals, and bottom scraps of society than young intelligent people, Indians who come to Russia voluntarily had it coming in my opinion.

On the other hand, such huge casualties on the frontlines were an unexpected factor.

....I guess Putin expected it to go differently, two years back....

@cms neuf
Realistically though, free speech isn't free when someone can file a suit against you for calling them an a$$hole. Polands laws regarding some things are not exactly models for anyone to use in their country.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, more Russians and Ukrainian soldiers died for nothing today.

more Russians and Ukrainian soldiers died for nothing today.

I know that Russians die because they are deathly afraid of Putin. Ukrainians, on the other hand, die for "freedom and democracy" so it's not totally "for nothing".

I am sure that many PF posters will be more than happy to put their lives on the line along with their Ukrainian brothers.

I just got my passport renewed so I will start packing next week.

so I will start packing next week.

What for? To join the Russian army of robbers and rapists?

On the other hand, such huge casualties on the frontlines were an unexpected factor.

They expected a handful rather than 400,000+.

One reason they've run out of Ladas.

And since they're about to be pinned down like sitting ducks in Chasiv Yar with the thaw coming, they'd better hurry up and produce some more.

swissinfo.ch/eng/navalny%27s-parents-bury-their-son-as-thousands-chant-his-name/73191704

Tens of thousands of Russians came out to support the funeral of Navalny and this was despite the fact hundreds of Russians have already been arrested for protesting around his assassination by the Russian state....or his death was another " whoops, silly me for falling out a 10 story window. No one pushed me, I promise " :-)

But the high turnout just shows us what we already know about Putins autocracy. Its not popular or supported by many Russians and they would love to see political change but because there arent free and fair elections in Russia Putin will continue to stay in power

If Putin really believed he had majority support in Russia he would allow a free and fair election and he could win that fairly. But he is insecure and lacks the confidence and belief in letting Russian people decide who should govern through the ballot box

How compromised is Germany by russia?

The (austrian) who committed the biggest financial fraud in German history was also a russian agent for a decade....

twitter.com/michaeldweiss/status/1763514514668912722

Add that to German leaders compromised by russia (or who compromised themselves with inappropriately close relationships with russia - Schroeder, Merkel, Steinmeier, Scholz... the Greens, AfD....)

Germany needs to stop trying to be a leader and try to regain its shattered image by actually helping and not finding excuses to not help....

Germany needs...

How?

Navalny, President Vladimir Putin's fiercest critic inside Russia, died at the age of 47 in an Arctic penal colony on Feb. 16., sparking accusations from his supporters that he had been murdered. The Kremlin has denied any state involvement in his death.

Of course...since nobody ever died at the age of 47.
Death only affects those over 48. If a 47-year-old guy gets aneurysm and dies after criticizing Putin, it's Putin's fault. My point exactly...

Tens of thousands of Russians

The article says "thousands". So which is it? Thousands or tens of thousands?

because there aren't free and fair elections in Russia

Name three top differences between Russia's unfree and unfair elections and Poland's free and fair elections. You can use US elections as a point of reference if you wish.

Germany needs to stop trying to be a leader

I think Germany has recently lost that role, the country is a mess, politically, economically and socially.

Agreed!

So....who wants to take over?

I think Germany has recently lost that role, the country is a mess, politically, economically and socially.

Because Germany pursues an America First policy instead of listening to me - the best non-German German Germany ever had.

Novi, you would hate it here.....our gov is totally green and woke....after the Merkel-years that was (still is) the final blow, yes we are a mess!

Novi, you would hate it here.....our gov is totally green and woke.

He would BB, but he would not be much happier in the UK, we are almost as bad as you.......the world needs political change and it won't come from the left!

pawian
2 Mar 2024  #2329

that gov is totally green and woke

Don`t be silly. Each German gov since 1945 has been the paradigm of decency. You have been drinking German "champagne" Braun Riesling for too long.

mafketis
2 Mar 2024  #2330

How?

Stopping obstruction and sending Taurus would be a nice first step.... the government actually acting like it wants Ukraine to win (instead of finding reasons to do nothing) would help

You show your complete ignorance yet again!Unbelievable!

sending Taurus

Apparently, to send the Taurus, you would also have to send German soldiers, and no German government will do that.

Stopping obstruction and sending Taurus would be a nice first step....

Which brings me back to my question: HOW?

The next elections are still far off....

Yes, me again, you ciućka. hahahaha

no German government will do that

I just wish no German government would be an ally of russia while it's invading Ukraine....

Glory to Ukraine!

Glory to heroes? Sieg hail?

Banderist salutes should be frowned upon, just as nazi salutes are. Find a better way of expressing your adoration for Ukraine, Pawian, rather than shouting Ukrainian sieg hail.

Bratwurst Boy
2 Mar 2024  #2338

I just wish no German government would be an ally of russia while it's invading Ukraine....

I wouldn't go so far as calling Germany an ally of Russia, right now...it's unfair!

Stumbling idiots totally overwhelmed by the current events, and no idea where to go and how, yes....but an ally? No!

An ally wouldn't spend so much money on Ukraine, quite the contrary. If Germany stopped the support tomorrow Ukraine really would be lost!

three top differences between Russia's unfree and unfair elections and Poland's free and fair elections

There is the one, overwhelming difference. It to be free and fair. PiS was in charge and lost elections anyway. Can something like that happen to Putin?

And while I support PiS and Kaczyński and hate Tusk with burning passion, if Kaczor have tried to regain power my military means, which he would not do because he believes in democracy just as myself, I'd volunteer to fight against him.
