I first read Velund's post and was impressed. Then I read your response and was amazed at how stupid a man can be.

Everything you said about Russia applies to the US but you are too dishonest to say it. I could comment on yours in its entirety but that would be a waste of time. So I will comment only on the first of your points.

Biden and his Bolsheviks break US laws every single day by aiding and abetting the invasion from the South. That is treason. Period.

Interesting how no one here is talking about Ukraine aid going to a vote on Saturday morning. Lets see how many democrats support the republican aid packages for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Included in those are the confiscation of Russian assets to pay for the aid.

Also interesting how no one has mentioned that the CIA director said Ukraine could be gone by the end of this year if they dont get the aid. Meanwhile another report has said that even with all the new aid, Ukraine will not be able to make a breakthrough because they do not have enough men. I know its crazy to think that things are happening just as I and others said they would. What does Z do about it? Nothing. It will be really fvcked up when reports come out of Ukraine in a few months about how many weapons are still sitting in storage because there is not enough manpower to use them.

The first F-16's now expected at the end of June, with the buld arriving in August. I wonder how many men will be left for Ukraine to fight with then.

According to Zeihan Europe has provided more aid for each of the last nine months than the US... as they realize what a danger russia is and how little they can count on the US.

It's nowhere near where it should be but it's started and hopefully it can continue.
I'm all for Europe being a lot less reliant on an unreliable ally which is headed for a terrible government no matter which candidate wins in November.

This aid will get Ukraine through the election. It will pass because its Bidens last grasp at supressing any more evidence of little Bidens criminal enterprises and his connection to it. It is also one of the last things he can make a campaign issue.

If not for the US this war would have been over a long time ago. Lets remember who was the first to give aid, and who warned Ukraine the invasion was coming. And with this next aid package all of Europe will once again be way behind the US.

However, in the big picture - $60B is a drop in the ocean when it comes to defeating Russia.

Ukraine is itself no slouch, inheriting a vast arsenal of weaponry. However, Russia still has the majority of an arsenal which was stockpiled by a superpower over decades. Soviet procurement always exceeded American procurement, from the 1960s on. This, despite a larger American budget. Modern Russia continues this trend, where we buy a disproportional amount of equipment, in comparison to our relatively small budget. America meanwhile has better VA benefits, but also has to pay to maintain hundreds of military bases around the world. They also have to deal with price gouging Raytheon and Boeing, while we deal with companies owned by the government.

Today, America has the world's largest defense budget - as everyone knows. But pre-1991 there were periods where Soviet expenditure on defense exceeded that of America. Look at the chart below.

Let's assume that much of it is rusted and unusable. Say half.

Now do the very crude math on what amount of investment is needed to digest the remaining half. Will $60B be enough to "digest" trillions of dollars of accumulated investment? I think any person with some math ability will say... NO.
