More funny news from Ukraine...
DeepState.UA - the most respected mapper of frontline movements on the Ukrainian side (and previously alleged to be connected to the Ukrainian MoD and GS), has gone quiet.
Earlier, the Ukrainian command accused these "open source" analysts of erroneously reporting that a Ukrainian unit had been encircled in Makarovka (Donetsk). DeepState then responded that it stood by its map, and that the problem lay instead with the Ukrainian command that has issues with accepting the truth. They went on to say some other things, and then concluded the post with "Lies will be the end of us".
There were rumors, also, that Syrski is trying to get the lot of these kids mobilized and sent to the front as infantry, so the website would go permanently kaput.
I love everything about this story.
When Ukraine has problems "advancing" on the actual battlefield, it often decides to "advance" on some segment of its own population instead.
Also, this story tells me (not like I didn't know this, but just more confirmation) - that Ukrainians are truly our brothers...
In our military everybody lies to each from top to bottom. In the Ukrainian military - instead - everybody lies to each other from the bottom and all the way to the top. One Ukrainian officer describes the state of affairs as "круговое наебалово" - which can be roughly translated as "360 degree deceit".
While their very familiar incompetence and inexplicable deceitfulness is very endearing... it gives some reason for concern. With a population 4X the size, and an economy 10X theirs - Russia can somewhat afford to f*ck around. Ukraine really cannot.
They're supposed to be incorruptible, flexible, innovative, and democratic. They are supposed to do more with less, while preserving their strength. Instead, they look more and more like Russia's retarded brother.
