Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 22

An interesting article:

A medical professor examined the footage and reported to the Mirror at the time that Putin likely had Parkinson's disease. "Tremors would be consistent with Parkinson's and certainly the tremors he has in his hands are all consistent with the disease," Professor Angus Dalgleish of St George's, University of London, said, adding: "I would put my money on the fact that he's got about Parkinson's." The medical professor also said Putin often presents with a "deadpan face" which is "classic Parkinson's".
mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/wildest-vladimir-putin-missing-theories-34150095

I'd trust Professor Dalgleish to treat me if I was ill, and as a Doctor registered with the General Medical Council he should be regarded as credible and truthful.

Trump works!

5 percent! Germany is arming itself

bild.de/politik/verteidigungsetat-deutschland-folgt-usa-bei-fuenf-prozent-ziel-68258ecce2c76f0c587c8c73

Germany will follow the US in its five percent defense budget target. This was announced by Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul (62, CDU).

The US is demanding that all NATO member states spend five percent of their gross domestic product on defense in the future. However, most NATO partners do not consider this feasible in the foreseeable future. Germany has now decided to comply with the demands.

The CDU politician said at the NATO Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Turkey after a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio (53) that they are following Trump's assessment that this is necessary.

At last!

Merz wants to make the Bundeswehr the strongest army in Europe....quite ambitious as broke as we are currently....

..quite ambitious as broke as we are currently....

Especially if we continue to supply Ukraine as much weapons as we do now from BW stocks. It will i.e. take several years until we have replaced the Patriot systems that we have donated to Ukraine in the last few years.

The US

It will be excellent if trump shows up in Istanbul, maybe near the end of the talks or at least before he goes home.

Two Presidents greeted by another, yet Putler didn't show.

What was the three day "strange silence" about? Where's Wally? I think we should be told.

Two Presidents greeted by another, yet Putler didn't show.

Not only that but, hosted by a similar «strongman» figure in the shape of Erdogan. Sending low ranking delegation to Turkey risks ire and feeling disrespected or snubbed by the Turks (it is a chance for them to show decency, mettle and seriousness to increase their chances for E.U membership.)

Obvious signs of sabotage from Russia on this by belittling this, only shows Putin is desperate and needs to focus on internal politics, a stark contrast to every leader that could afford to show up in Turkey.

Presidents show up for the signing ceremony, not to argue or have a brawl.

Putin is wise to ignore the meeting.

until we have replaced the Patriot systems

You don't need it.

WW2 is over and the Warsaw Pact gone...

Putin is wise to ignore the meeting.

He proposed the meeting himself, and now he's not attending it. Brilliant trolling.

He proposed the meeting himself,
..
... and then he read my PF posts, watched YT video with T and Z in the WH, and said...I am quoting:

No way fvcking way I will let this azzhole roll his Jewish eyes on me.

He proposed the meeting himself, and now he's not attending it

Well, he never said he's going himself.

In general, it is almost without precedent for heads of state to negotiate peace settlements directly with each other. The only exceptions I can think of are the Camp David Accords where Sadat and Begin negotiated under Carter's supervision, and maybe the Reykjavik Summit between Reagan and Gorbachev. At Reykjavik, Reagan and Gorbachev negotiated nuclear arms reductions face to face.

It's almost always foreign ministers, ambassadors, or other special envoys.

It's quite obvious why sending a head of state to negotiate something is not a good idea:

1) They are not subject matter experts
2) They are not trained diplomats
3) They are usually narcissists with inflated egos, that would sell all the hard won battlefield victories in exchange for a chance to appear "reasonable".

Being a politician, and being a negotiator are not the same thing.

Well, he never said he's going himself.

Yet low ranking officials are sent that need to confer every little detail before responding. Russian Federation blew it on this and it's 100% Putin's fault.

I can only imagine what Lavrov is thinking

@Torq
Obviously it was a bluff and Zelenskyy called it, now he needs to save face (again).

Bobko
15 May 2025  #257

Yet low ranking officials are sent

There is symbolism in who was sent.

Medinsky is again the chief negotiator. He was also the chief negotiator in Istanbul in 2022.

If talks collapse this year, and only happen again in 2028 - I bet Putin will again send Medinsky.

The message is - you'll sign what we initially offered, and you'll learn to love it.

Three years have gone by, and Zelensky is back where he started, talking to the same people in Istanbul. The only difference - hundreds of thousands of dead Russians and Ukrainians.

I bet Putin will again send Medinsky.

How about this instead:

That's what the USSR sent to Germans what they wanted to discuss things...

The UNNR and the Nazi Germans had several years of very amicable discussions with fine food (at least by NN standards), the remnants of the Tsar's wine cellar and high class ******.

Anyway, seems Golden Cow now wants to give Putler another free pass - says nothing will happen until Putler sits downs with him LOL

It's even sadder to see morons like you ... an azzhole who insults 80 million Americans while claiming he is one of them...

BTW, your childish attempts to turn Americans against Russians will never work.

For trying, I hate you, you POS...

Tatyana Montyan continue to have fun in their Tg channel... ;)

Istanbul circus is the circus of all circuses 🤡

Without any interest and with a share of squeamish bewilderment I am watching the fcuking circus around the negotiations in Turkey. Putin officially called for these talks, Trump supported the idea, Zelensky said he was also in favor and would personally go there (even though no one called him there personally), and he is waiting for Putin personally (who, again, did not promise to personally go there). As a result, Zelensky and the Russian delegation headed by Medinsky flew to Turkey. However, Zelensky flew to Ankara, while the Russians flew to Istanbul. This was followed by an absolutely moronic show: Zelensky was running around Ankara, occasionally shouting phrases like "I am here! Putin, come out, you sneaky coward!" The Russian delegation stayed in Istanbul and disciplinedly waited for Zelensky (who was in another city and was not even going to Istanbul, which he did not hide).

Trump also added to the party, in between discussing the virtues of the Saudi camels he threw profound phrases like "Putin didn't come to Istanbul because I wouldn't have come there, and I could have come, but I didn't because I knew Putin wouldn't be there, and that's why Putin didn't come".

As a result, it seems to have been agreed to continue negotiating tomorrow: Zelensky will not participate in the event, but will send Defense Minister Umerov instead. This already hints that nothing serious will be decided at these talks: if they wanted to talk seriously, they would have sent at least Yermak. Not to mention the fact that Umerov is a scumbag with close ties in the Democrat Party, and he has his own reasons for disrupting the talks, in addition to those of the other members of Zelensky's flock.

No one is hiding the fact that no talks are planned: Kyiv has already stated that the Ukrainian delegation has been authorized to discuss only the issue of a 30-day ceasefire and nothing else. Moscow, on the other hand, is not interested in the issue of a 30-day ceasefire (and rightly so, by the way!), but is interested in the political framework for ending the war. And to make sure that no one doubts that nothing good will come out of these negotiations, Zelensky said before leaving Turkey that he does not plan to discuss any territorial issues, as it is "forbidden by the constitution". The fact that the negotiations themselves (any negotiations!) are prohibited in principle by his, Zelensky's, personal decree, apparently does not bother him.

In short, following this sh1tty shapito is not for the faint of heart: as I wrote above (t.me/montyan2/11064), no one really wants to negotiate anything, and everyone is just pulling the cat by the tail, mostly because they don't want to upset hysterical grandpa Trump, who promised peace in Ukraine to his voters, and now he just doesn't know how to get away from this whole story.

But this circus is one that North Nigeria asked for - they set the time and place

Not sure what the rest of your very long post is about - who is going to read such drivel ?

If Putler knew he wasn't coming why didn't he just say that straight away ? The will he/wont he was a North Nigerian circus

Novichok
15 May 2025  #265

Vladimir Zelensky has said that although he does not know how long the conflict with Russia will last, his country would not be able to survive another ten years of fighting.

A very strange thing to say while Ukraine is clearly winning. That's according to PF Freedom Press...

Just imagine Stalin saying something like this after Stalingrad...

Velund

they set the time and place

They set different place, nobody talked about Ankara where Z performed their moronic show.

But I understand - absolutely anything that may go wrong is a Putin's fault, it is rule #1 in Polack inter-ear ganglion. ;)

I don't think Trump cares very much. He just picked up about a trillion dollars of Gulf money. He landed a 200 jet order for Boeing. The largest ever contract for chips for Nvidia.

If Russia and Ukraine don't appreciate his help, he'll move on to the next thing.

This suits Russia just fine, but I think it makes Ukraine deposit some fecal matter in its pantaloons.

Why didn't he say wasn't coming straight away ?

Are you proud to have a coward for a President ?

This is a man who spent 3 years throwing farm boys into suicidal attacks with crap equipment, but is too chicken **** to leave his own bunker

Bobko
15 May 2025  #270

Why didn't he say wasn't coming straight away ?

Show me where he said "I'm coming."

He said, "I propose to meet".

Vladimir Putin is a serious man, CMS - a bit more serious than me or you. I don't think he "misspoke", or "panicked".

I think he knew what he was offering, and it was a meeting between our respective delegations.

Now Zelensky is saying he was disrespected. That he will "think carefully about who to send, of equivalent rank". Idiot. F*cking impossible idiot...
