Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 24

More proof that dictators get progressively more stupid the longer they are in office...

putin and xi are caught on a hot mic about living 150 years or more through 'organ transplants' and the like...

whose organs? Why don't worry your little head about that....

Neither the russian nor chinese people have any power whatsoever to get these two war-crazed morons out of office....

@Ironside
I am glad you are not in charge of my portfolio then. Ukraine is an investment in creating the worlds largest metal recycling business when the war ends, and a great reconstruction business. Nothing more. Ukraine will never rise to the level of Poland. If they gain EU membership it will be out of pity. They will never be in NATO. As for buying US made junk, by all means lets have the EU build its own, just waiting for all those factories to be built and all the tools to be made to make it happen. Not holding my breath while waiting.

Neither Russia is making much progress.

Fewer Ukrainians is progress.

This is the same gas that made Germany into the world's number one export powerhouse

Russia should never again sell gas or oil to Western azzholes and watch their economies collapse...The US will be so grateful.

This is not a US problem, it is a European problem.

GFY, parasites...

We cut our NN oil and gas imports 90 percent and our economy has not collapsed. Indeed growth is very solid

Plenty more oil from Norway, Canada and the US, plenty of renewables and plenty from developed countries like Angola and Nigeria.

The NNs can drink their oil for all we care

Ukraine will never rise to the level of Poland.

I guess most Westerner have thought so about the new eastern EU-members too...pity....

But this pity has proven a gift for their economies....all these investments have bought not only West-Germany golden decades....millions of people wanting to buy and consume...endless orders to renovate and build new....lotsa new and eager, cheaper workforce....we were called the "wild East", four our endless (and lotsa lesser regulated) possibilites!

A new EU-Ukraine could be the next big money-maker....needed in these times of lagging economies!

Huge potential in Ukraine if they can establish democracy and build institutions - educated workforce, raw materials, huge stimulus to the tech industry from the war.

Of course they can reach the same level as Poland - other former UNNR republics in the Baltics have similar living standards to prosperous parts of Poland.

Huge potential in Ukraine if they can establish democracy and build institutions

If I pray 24/7/365, by the next summer I will be pope.

Hey, Golden Moron, you don't even know how to define "democracy".

No, you don't have "democracy" in Poland or you would have "abortion rights" by now and no U migrants who will never leave.

the Baltics have similar living standards to prosperous parts of Poland.

The Baltics are the sickest part of Europe with the women to men ratio of 115 to 100.

The repro rates: Lithuania 1.2, Latvia 1.4, and Estonia 1.3.

In the meantime, Muslims in Europe reproduce at 2.3....

Conclusion: Euros are suicidal morons.

Ukraine is an investment

Geopolitical investment. Investing in the security and stability of the region.
--
EU-

Forget about the EU. You (Germany) have F up that idea for good. It is a project that is dead, but it hasn't noticed it yet.

just waiting for all those factories to be built and all the tools to be made to make it happen.

No problemo. Why don't you buy some popcorn in meantime?

@Ironside
Thats what Europe doesnt understand. Americans dont GAF about European stability. They dont care about Russia or China. They only care about themselves. They have fought the world too many times and are tired of being the worlds police force and welfare provider. This is why Trump got elected.

@cms neuf
Definitely huge potential. I will be investing in all metal recycling, and buying as much real estate as possible that is not mined. The people that will make the money will be foreign investors.

You (Germany) have F up that idea for good.

Why not change it?

You know....it's a Union of equal members....of course some are more equal than others, but this has to do with the amount of money poured in.

I promise you, the moment Poland becomes a net-payer it gets blamed for all of Brussels failures too! ;)

Geopolitical investment.

Go ahead...invest...Who is stopping you, stupid Euros...Or did you mean the US investing?

In the meantime...From Daily Mail:

Hot mic catches Putin and Xi's disturbing chat about human organs in rare slip as Russian tyrant boasts of plan for immortality

RT never called any of the UK PMs a moron despite the fact that it is objectively true.

One of many reasons why I like RT and despise Western presstitutes.

Americans dont GAF

Americans seem to be overlooking something important. Regardless of what the average person thinks, there is a U.S. policy that doesn't change quickly or easily. Trump is attempting to alter these rules and impose new ones that are more favorable to America. However, he only has four years to do this.

Why not change it?

Because you can't have a successful operation on a zombie, only an autopsy.

stupid Euros

It is unwise to spit into the wind; that adage is, Americans are stupid. Why are you fabricating things? Are you feeling bored?

They dont care about Russia or China. They only care about themselves.

Amen.

Americans are stupid.

Next time tell me something I don't know and didn't say ... like a 100 times...

However, he only has four years to do this.

14 months...

The NNs can drink their oil for all we care

Oil is oil. It costs about the same, in Timbuktu and in Buenos Aires.

The post was about gas.

Germany used to buy Russian gas for €13-18/MWh, before the Special Military Operation.

For a brief time during 2022, Germany paid €200/MWh.

Today, the price for German consumers averages €35-36/MWh.

Tell me you don't know anything about industrial economics, without telling me you don't...

This price increase has been enough to put Germany's massive chemical industry on its knees (BASF, Yara). It has made agriculture much more expensive (hello fertilizer prices). It has driven up the price of things like cement and concrete - leading to a secular decline in German construction activity. It has affected steel, pulp, and non-metallic mineral output.

It's even had a role to play in the disastrous decline of German automotive and heavy machinery output.

Again - oil is oil - and gas is gas.

Play stupid games...get stupid medals...

Your post brought a big smile to my old face...

About that decline...we love it here when the EU declines...

BTW, how many times did I tell Germany to give US warmongers the middle finger, be friends with Russia, and do what is best for Germany? 10 times? 20 times.?

Germany used to buy Russian gas for €13-18/MWh (...) Today, the price for German consumers averages €35-36/MWh

Germans know that. They can count. They are not idiots.

And still they continue with the foreign and economic policies that they chose after the beginning of the SMO. This might actually be good news. It might mean that in this world full of whoredom there are still things more important than counting shekels. Of course, it can also mean that there are powers at play, behind the scenes, which are even more ominous and what we see is not what actually happens. 5D shekel counting and all that. Being a born pessimist I would tend to think the latter is true.

We (Poles) are in a difficult situation: we want neither angry Russia on a neo-imperial conquest nor a strong German-Ukrainian alliance. Unfortunately, at the moment we have both. My only hope is that our strategists can see that Ukraine can be potentially a bigger security threat to Poland than Russia, and that they direct at least a part of their mental energy and those hundreds of billions in defence spending towards safeguarding our country from this threat. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

the SMO

Why do you use that term?

Torq
3 Sep 2025  #1009

Why do you use that term?

I used the term "war" in the past but seeing that after over three years of the conflict neither side has declared war on each other and that neither side conducted a proper war-time mobilisation, I decided to stick with "SMO" as it seems more accurate.

Novichok
3 Sep 2025  #1010

Was the war in Veitnam an SMO? To the 58,000 dead Amercians it sure looked like a war...

I have a clue...With 2 million dead, it's a war.

They are not idiots.

They are worse...An idiot is a person who doesn't know much. Germans are US useful idiots and they know it.

Torq
3 Sep 2025  #1011

I have a clue...With 2 million dead, it's a war.

Was Spanish flu a war? 50 million dead worldwide.

Germans are US useful idiots and they know it.

I doubt it.

Worst thing that you can do is to assume that everyone is an idiot - a schoolboy mistake.

jon357
3 Sep 2025  #1012

I used the term "war" in the past

Illegal and unprovoked invasion is more accurate.

Using r*SSian terminology is very politically loaded.

And meanwhile, 500 missiles and drones targeted civilians in western Ukraine.

Torq
3 Sep 2025  #1013

Illegal and unprovoked invasion

Or even better, a "full-scale invasion" or, as idiots in Poland say, "pełnoskalowa inwazja" (even though there is no such word as "pełnoskalowy" in Polish). Whether it's an SMO or an FSI is a secondary issue. It's not a war.

Using r*SSian terminology is very politically loaded.

What isn't "politically loaded"?

500 missiles and drones targeted civilians in western Ukraine.

Was Putin arrested during his visit to the World's Greatest Democracy? Or maybe there was a red carpet rolled out for him?

Novichok
3 Sep 2025  #1014

Was Spanish flu a war? 50 million dead worldwide.

If we can have war on drugs or hunger, why not a war on virus?

We just spent trillions to kill these motherfvckers...more than on WW2.

It's not a war.

The opposite of war is peace...

Therefore, what is going on in Ukraine is a seminar on peaceful coexistance...

I am so relieved...

mafketis
3 Sep 2025  #1015

SMO or an FSI is a secondary issue. It's not a war.

SMO is from the russian point-of-view and meant to mislead.... in a sense it was accurate because putin assumed people would welcome russian soldiers (because dictators are morons with faulty information) and, as Galeev writes, they thought it would be something like the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 (in which Poland helped!) to decapitate a government a cow the population into submission....

From the Ukrainian point of view it's a failed invasion that's turned into a war, whether declared or not as russia largely targets civilians now... fortunately Ukrainian air defense is good enough that only small numbers of people are killed but if russia could it would flatten most cities because they don't care about human life.

My greater sympathy is with Ukraine so it's an invasion largely targeting civilian targets... and there's no way to put a shine on that pig.

jon357
3 Sep 2025  #1016

even though there is no such word as "pełnoskalowy

There is now. Make a neologism and it exists.

Was Putin arrested during his visit to the World's Greatest Democracy?

Sadly not, however the place he visited didn't sign up to the ICC, largely due to individuals involved in the Mai Lai massacre and other events in Vietnam and elsewhere. China and North Korea aren't signatories either.

as Galeev writes, they thought it would be something like the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 (in which Poland helped!) to decapitate a government a cow the population into submission....

Very true. The young orcs were told they'd be welcomed with open arms and that the people were somehow being oppressed by 'Nazis'.

Have you heard the latest? Putler caught on an open microphone talking about organ transplants to achieve immortality!

Next they'll be turning him into a living version of that ghoulish waxy corpse in Red Square...

Torq
3 Sep 2025  #1017

if russia could it would flatten most cities

Couldn't they though? They have this TOS-1A thing and some of their nukes probably still work.

My greater sympathy is with Ukraine

"Greater" meaning 51-49? 60-40?

My only sympathy is with suffering civilian population.

mafketis
3 Sep 2025  #1018

some of their nukes probably still work

...maybe, but they realize that would invite.... retaliation on a massive scale, and as I frequently note, russia is not the kind of place with a culture of maintenance (either human, institution or technical).

look at russia did to Grozny and Syria... they'd do that to Ukraine too if they could.

My only sympathy is with suffering civilian population.

Ukrainians, in other words. As the pro-putin crowd here frequently points out, russian civilians aren't suffering at all.

It might mean that in this world full of whoredom there are still things more important than counting shekels.

I would believe that... if I hadn't seen with my own eyes how Germany was effectively shamed and sabotaged into adopting its current position.

Somebody - nobody knows who - blew up the Nord Stream pipeline.

Then somebody in Washington D.C., I can't remember now who, threatened sanctions against Germany if it didn't curtail purchases of Russian gas - while helpfully offering to sell them American gas for double the price.

Mr Grunwald

Was Putin arrested during his visit to the World's Greatest Democracy?

Hear hear, the disunited states have turned a blind eye to Europe. They now want Empire, authority, respect and senseless praise.

They have fallen from the path with no wish to return. Unless mightier powers then us wishes so, do we have any duty to force them back?
