I don't think that the UK government is trying to avoid dealing with the Covid problem
The UK government, like many other governments, doesn't have a clue how many times it can order those draconian "lockdowns" that are nothing else than swimming up Mississippi. Can be done for a while but, eventually, the river will win. Always. Like this:
the new strain of Covid is quite alarming...
That's the river winning.
As for the money to pay for bills again I am not sure what you mean by this....
A nation under lockdown does not produce enough wealth to keep those idiotic lockdowns not only forever but even for a decent size while. It, therefore, has to deplete its savings, borrow, or print money. All three lead to a financial disaster, Zimbabwe-style. Your government, just as in Poland and the US, knows it but has no guts to say it. Add this paralysis of fear to the matriarchal safetism culture where the underlying slogan is "whatever it takes" when asked how much we should spend to save just one life, and we all are on Titanic 2.0.
As before, the guys on the top deck - like the Gates and other globalist scum with the safety boats set aside just for them - are advocating another series of lockdowns without mentioning the billions they have and you don't.
