And there is the rub. Allegedly they have the army involved. I have yet to see a report of anything more than field hospitals with some military in them. I personally saw some military in Opolskie the other week, but really nothing in Krakow, Katowice, or Warsaw that I have seen. A lot of smoke and mirrors and so the brilliant government and their mouth pieces will extend the lockdown for two more weeks possibly as soon as today. Incompetence.

The State of Florida is prioritizing vaccines by age.
Well half of the population of Florida in the winter months are Snowbirds from the cold Northern States.
And since it goes by age many Floridians are dying because they can't get a vaccine because of the age requirement.
Even old geezer vacationers from Canada are flocking to Florida so they can get the vaccine.
This pushes the native Floridians to the end of the line.
Now China joe wants to administer just one vaccine instead of the required two to get more people vaccinated.
So it's not just Poland that doesn't know which hand is washing the other.
Get them damn vaccines rolling out in truck loads and start administering them, what the hell is the hold up ?

It's getting worse. They keep changing the rules surrounding stage 1, so while seniors that were economically active were supposed to get priority, it now turns out that they'll be vaccinated in turn along with the rest of them according to age. It's unbelievably idiotic - if they're still economically active, they should be first in line.

I know one guy in his 70's who still works as a football coach part time - shouldn't people like him be prioritised ahead of older people who are at little risk by sitting at home?

No, he is not an essential worker.
A grocery store worker should have priorities over him as well as prisoners.
Essential workers, prisoners and people with underlying health conditions should have priority.
What is really unfair, in my opinion, is the people in prison where humans can not quarantine.
All prisons are testing about 85% positive which is very inhumane.

1.2 million doses have arrived in Poland. 1 million of them sitting in storage. What does that say about this government? Last time I got a flu shot a few months ago it took me less than 5 minutes. How can these donkeys mess this up this badly? People blame Trump for inaction and incompetence? Why are they not blaming all of PiS here?

This Saturday I went to Hala Gawardii and I didnt even see 1 person with mask and by 2.30am people were dancing and was so crowded.I am isolating now,did that crap on invitation at the spur of a moment being tipsy.I shouldve taken a video and stayed away.

In Krakow yesterday, many more people simply not wearing masks in public. Even on the news last night people walking around Warsaw with no masks, some even walking out of government buildings. Galleria Kazimierz had stores opening yesterday like Kruk which clearly is not essential, H&M had employee's in stocking shelves and other stores had activity related to opening up. Many small business on rynek still open and defying the "order".

While last lockdown everyone was pretty much going along without question, this one is turning. People are not going to take much more. My neighborhood is up in arms because our local Lewiatan went out of business, a local appliance repair shop also closed up along with several other small business all within a six block radius.

Meanwhile the PiS sheep keep believing they are managing the virus well. Opening schools next week for grades 1 to 3. Funny how there was a direct relationship to schools opening in the fall and an increased number of infections, yet they open schools first. And I have yet to read one confirmed report about how social distanced dining or shopping has resulted in an infection. Airports are open and people are flying in small confined planes, yet I cant go have a beer and sit outside at the local pub?

In Warsaw, people are quite good. The only time I've sen anyone without is on small, quiet side streets with almost nobody about.


Weddings are still happening so presumably it's about the rings.. Plus buying gold (and I expect plenty of people are selling scrap gold at this time).


Or more likely pretending they are. Privately they certainly know the scale of the damage. And they're frightened. Look out for dead cat news stories soon.

I dont think weddings are still happening. Kruk has been closed for weeks. I will check again today though.

It is now January 12th. A full 18 days after Christmas and that all so frightening "spike" of infections they predicted. Once again they predicted wrong. Were a huge spike been coming, we would have seen an escalation in numbers for a few days now. Instead, things remain steady, if not declining.

Two more weeks of lockdown? I dont think people are going to go for it. Especially considering the vaccine rollout is a complete clusterf@**

Corona is a pandemic worldwide. all countries are suffer with it. The economic is going in bottom... This time after ine year we believe that we can win from corona after vaccination.. Government is helping to rid off this situation.

The issue is more to do with the EU than Poland, Britain has inoculated more people than the whole EU put together, Don't forget Germany has bought up its own supplies outside of the agreed EU joint action, murderers in German prisons will get the vaccine before you do.
