They were down yesterday too. Looking like two weeks most of the craziness with infection numbers will be over.

That`s good. What do you think, will they cancel this year`s parade because of the pandemic?

Lets hope they do. Maybe they should have one in Red Square too? Maybe North Korea? It's always wise to fan the flames of people who simply don't support your views, especially when the government will do next to nothing to stop them from interrupting things at the minimum. (sarcasm font) But hey, you can always turn a subject back to discussing a cause that not many care about.

If one more person cites number of new "cases" on the basis of figures released by the ministry of healthy I'm gonna do something drastic...

Raw cases numbers are meaningless, the only numbers that really count are net hospital admissions, percentage of positive tests and fatalities..

For today the percentage of positive tests was 32 % (about where it has been anytime they test over 70,000 people (72, 281 tests).

number of deaths was 204 (the numbers always dip on sunday and monday and peak on wednesday thursday

The best news today was that there were 333 fewer hospitalized than yesterday the first fall in that number in a couple of weeks...

I do think the third "wave" is peaking/stalling and will soon rapidly decline.... unless the government decides it needs a resurgence at which point the number of tests will be ramped up to produce alarming new records to keep the easily fooled afraid and at home...

I am willing to bet half the population or more would test positive if they really started testing everyone. The invasiveness of the test tells me two things. First, that the sample they need to detect the virus is pretty large. Second, that most people have such a low virus count that if they don't dig real deep and get a huge sample, it will be a negative test.

This all leads me to believe that it really is much ado about nothing for generally healthy people. I have a cough, maybe once every few hours, one or two coughs. Thats it. No fever, nothing else. This was and is still being blown out of proportion.

Saw a graph today on the flu. Even though every ten years or so there is a massive spike in flu cases and deaths, this year, suddenly the flu is non existent. How can that be possible? I am not buying the panic any more.

Either that or they coat the swab first with the virus to make sure you tests positive.
Ain't nobody gonna be sticking who knows what up my snout until it hits my brain.
With a false positive factor of 70%, what is the point ?

I have finally come to the conclusion, after paying close attention to it all in the past year, that it is all about money and control.

Bill Gates and Ted Turner are laughing their asses off at how easily fear mongering works.
I wonder how many will be rushing to get their third vaccine in six months after their first ones.

And the PCR test (as used) is kind of useless as it picks up all sorts of random non-covid viruses... the creator of the test strongly opposed using it as a diagnostic when there are no symptoms...

Sometimes I get the idea that there are actually two viruses going around that are very close (so detected by the same test) but with differing levels of danger...

The current wave is more to do (most likely) with the vaccination program as these seem to always be accompanied by a rise in serious cases...


The numbers are from the previous day and some paperwork tasks are put off on Sunday/holidays... but once you know that's going on you can account for it (not that the press ever tries).

It's another reason that the 7 day moving average is a better metric (though not as easy to manipulate for sensationalistic purposes).

There is a small increase in the usual number of deaths. Yes it sucks, it's big enough to be noticeable, but it's nowhere near the ultra-pocalypse they pretend it is. Look at similar data during the previous times those delightful Chinks blessed the world with their godawful diseases.

Spanish flu - 17 to 20 million dead at a time when the world population was less than 2 billion.

Plague of Justinian - 25-60% of Europe's population dead

Black death - 30-60% of Europe's population

Those are the kind of numbers that might - maybe - warrant the bullsh!t we have been put through the past year and will continue to deal with for many years.

First post I 100% agree with.

I'd rather wear a mask in public during flu season then get a vaccine (containing who knows what) that is only12% effective injected into my body year after year.

One of these days they will trick us into being booted up with the "de-populate the world" vaccine.

Never had a Flu vaccine in my life,will never get it.Only Covid vaccine I got just for travel convenience.

Just came back from a bike ride. It was uneventful if not counting maskholes on bikes.

I wouldn't say these numbers are completely meaningless...yes hospital admissions are an important factor but I think people should take note of anyone contracting Covid whether or not they are admitted to hospital....even those people who have Covid and not required to be admitted to hospital should continue to take care because 'long Covid' is a real problem and continues to affect peoples lives in quite a serious way.....

Good to see that the numbers in Poland are starting to drop now, hopefully with a few more million due to get it in the next few weeks there should be much more positive results than the last few months. Be interesting to see if the target of 1 million jabs a week can be met from 12th April, shame it wasn't possible from the start or there would be around 12 million done rather than the 6.6 million.

I think Poland, along with other European countries will have to set a lower vaccine threshold before opening things up again than the UK. Over here its likely to be around 2/3rd of adults done before many businesses start to open up in just over a weeks time. If Poland waits that long it will be close to autumn before places open up and realistically it would have to be much earlier than that. If the summer weather is particularly warm however I don't see any problem with that.

There's no evidence that about 2/3 of the people claiming to suffer from "long covid" ever had covid in the first place (never tested positive, have no antibodies)....

Percentages of positive test results are more important than the raw number especially if very different numbers of people are tested on different days....

So 20,000 positive tests can be worse than 25,000 (if the 20,000 is of 60,000 tests and the 25,000 from 100,000 tests).

Dont forget the VIP culture in Poland.All influential people in Poland have already had there 2nd doses of Pfizer almost months back and the real needy ones are still in line.

Personally, I wonder if a lot of this 'long covid' stuff is people who've worked themselves into a state of extreme stress over it and it's their bodies reaction to the stress, rather than the disease. Some people seem to work themselves into a state of massive hysteria over this and that can't be good for anyone.

Then you have all the fat chicks claiming to be tiiiiiiired and want disability payments forever because of 'long covid'. Oh yeah and we need to be in lockdown for another year to prevent others from feeling sooooo tiiiiiired. The new fibromyalgia, now with extra lockdown.

As hard as the covid terrorists try, I don't feel any moral responsibility for the stupidity of others. Their bodies, as they say, their problem.

The city of Rzeszów has reached over 60% vaccinated population level. Even people as young as 2-30 are vaccinated. It is probably connected with the coming mayor elections.

With what vaccination?I heard Pfizer just approved for minors age 12 to 15 safe to be vaccinated and moderna has not recommended for kids under 15,or its a fake news for elections and dumb people believing it

you mean 20-30? cause AFAIK there's no vaccine approved for those under 16.... (and it's doubtful under 30s need it at all).

It is natural. Those brutes live mostly in the countryside and keep to themselves, never go out to have fun.
