If covid were based on science, somebody would have already checked if the vaccinated are spreaders. We don't need to wait ten years of looking for evidence.

The problem with covid terrorism is that the terrorists don't want to know or tell.

hospital admissions: +326 (more or less expected after so many days of negative numbers, hopefully they'll fall tomorrow)

deaths: 601 (a little high for a Tuesday....)

I have seen couple of restaurants in Warsaw are open to clients discreetly also,in fact we ate at one yesterday.They sell you draft/betchki beer in a bottle as take out and you can stand right there and drink which we have been doing at hala gawardii and hala kosciki.

Its never been closed to Americans. I have had 16 employees come here without issue since October.

Really,we had a poster here who was not allowed to board a plane I remember him posting but only LOT flew him here.

This is a worrying development.....I can't help thinking that the number of deaths are related to the lack of available hospital beds/trained staff, and as a result Covid patients have been told to stay at home and wait for an available bed.....

Well, mafketis has been posting shockingly high casualty rates for a while and Poland's infection rate is several times than Germany's (which is already high and putting a huge strain on ICU beds). Sadly, it looks like many people will die before they get their vaccination. The Polish government will have to answer a lot of tough questions when this is all over.

Well there's so much secrecy involved it's hard to get a clear picture of what's going on.....

Andrew Hammel pointed out that in Germany information on who's getting infected and where and how are treated like state secrets - while this is exactly the type of information that is needed to formulate effective health policy.

In Poland it's not clear how many.... incentives doctors have to declare deaths 'covid related'.... though there are anecdotal cases of people who clearly died of other causes being counted as covid cases (including those dying from conditions that were untreated because of covid restrictions in hospitals).

No reporters seem very interested in looking at any economic incentives medical personnel have to keep things going (though, again, informally, they're being paid at higher rates for covid cases).

The trend to wrest decision making away from the public or elected officials and to give it to technocrats and covid together are a terrible combination....

So, all that lockdown and restrictions can actually go and F itself for all the good it does it. They should just give up on that. At least people would be able to make a living.

Exactly.... a quote from one peer-reviewed study of lockdowns: "Comparing weekly mortality in 24 European countries, the findings in this paper suggest that more severe lockdown policies have not been associated with lower mortality. In other words, the lockdowns have not worked as intended."

Lockdowns serve the purpose of capital transfer (like austerity) and are not based in any kind of scientific approach.

They also help keep the virus around longer so that hysteria can be stirred up with reports of new and dangerous mutations...

How long a person (or society) keeps falling for it says a lot about levels of self-awareness....
