29.9 % positive results out of 97,500 tests... by my count about ten days into omicron... nb that omicron waves tend to be more vertical but shorter than previous waves - Israel's peaked in about three weeks... so omicron is usually a 3-4 week wave rather than 6-8... any increase in death rates happen well after the peak, in some cases after the wave... what's going on there?

Are there legal obligations to take a flu vaccine? Can you use stores without proof of vaccination if you haven't had the latest flu vaccine?

Mafketis, thanks for continuing to post the Covid stats for Poland. I was reading on the Irish news today what the WHO are now saying and it sounds promising. Regarding Europe they're saying that after this latest Omicron surge there will be a quiet phase throughout the summer and that when Covid returns nearer the end of the year it'll be more like a regular seasonal flu. Btw, Ireland, where Omicron has already peaked, is now going back to 'normal'. You're actually 'allowed' to shake hands again!!

Ireland was about three weeks from start to peak with omicron... Poland might be a tad longer, but on the other hand I think testing is going to be an issue. A _lot_ of people who get it but don't have serious symptoms will resist getting tested (which is my plan should I get it).

They're testing more but I don't think the system has the capacity to test three or four more times people than they're testing now (and do anything else).... do you know how many tests were done a day in Ireland during omicron?

I pretty much ignore most of the WHO says, a fatally compromised institution which I have lost all trust in.... (one among many....).

Can't fault you for that - but I'd say that our own common sense and the experience of the last two years would pretty much give us the same predictions as the current WHO statements.

I also know one bad thing that is always true about the ruling class. When they ban the opposition, they are hiding something. With the logic and facts on their side, they should want the "nuts" to offer their goofy theories s and look like fools. Covid is a seasonal disease, overall immune fitness is important, not targetted immunity against a viral protein that doesn't even exist anymore
Oh by the way, the French majority submitted a law project to class Vitamin D as an endocrine disruptor, and therefore prevent sale without a doctors' order for specific diseases. Vitamin D. The only conclusion I can draw is what we knew all along.
Vaccines are not 100% effective.
Also that they proved to be less effective against Omicron.

To draw conclusions we need the figures for how many people were on ventilators and how many died.

Without that these figures are virtually meaningless.
